((okay sorry guys, yeah I will just say college has been horrible, I mean I have even been threatened to be kicked out for something that they only found out I did not do the day before we broke up, so yeah the event has been the last thing on my mind, however I think Alease deserves one last RP, so feel free to join in, for the lols. If she dies forever in this one at least I can think I did her well and ended her chapter, if you want a youma to talk to, she is a bit stuck at the minuet... and she needs some cheering up.))
She had died. Something that she did not even understand the concept of at the moment. All she understood is. She was trapped. She had wondered back into the part of the building that used to be her room, some kind of familiarity she guessed. Something that still had some kind of emotional attachment to the lost soul which had kept way out of the way through this whole thing, hiding in fear, even the dead feared things, it was ironic there was a fire... Grayson was always warning her about it... she however died by poison. For unjust reasons, out of the group, she was the only one that feared what was happening, she was the only one who died... why? what had she done? although these questions where now forgotten in her mind. It did not matter any more, nor did she have the ability to think about it... she was so hungry.
Once upon a time, when she was still alive, when blood still ran through her body, she had a dream that she was going to become what she was now, she ate Sam. Even though it made no sense back then it made perfect sense now, memories where puzzles, her whole life seemed to be one. What was happening? why was it happening? and why was she suffering for it... why, why, why!!! A moan came from her dead dried lips as she punched what remained a wall out of pure sorrow. However she did not know why she was feeling this way, could she even feel? who was she? what is real? Her name... did it mean anything.
Then she tried to pull her hand back, however it was trapped in the wall. She was stuck, she pulled it back more and more but nothing would budge at all. She was trapped, she let out a scream and feel to her knees as she kept pulling, it hurt and soon she stopped. She was stuck, no other way about it, she had seen humans kill her kind, thats why she hid, now she was a sitting duck. Maybe it was for the best. She was not living she might as well be dead. I mean TRULY DEAD. She would not even know the difference...

Sam knew it was a bad idea to go out; but what else was there to do? Sue was off who knew where, supplies were limited, and they had to survive somehow. Plus, in all honesty... maybe he'd see some more horrible things. But what was worse? Sitting and waiting for horrible things to come to you, or to take the risk for something that might distract him, even for awhile. It wasn't much of an option. But it didn't stop a tiny part of him from feeling relieved that at least if something did happen, it would be a fate he'd bought to himself, not stumbled into. Maybe it was sort of a twisted logic. Fitting for what had become such a twisted place, black sky and all.
He'd bought the hoe from Meatgrinder with him, clutched tight in his hand. No way was he going anywhere unarmed. For all the good it did. He'd never raised a hand to anyone before this whole ordeal had bought the world crashing down around them. But it beat going in bare handed. Never knew what he might find out here.
Speak of the devil. Sam nearly jumped out of his skin when he heard a blood curdling scream, and tried to fight the urge to place who (or what) it was. Screams had him jumpy ever since everything had gone down in that room - and during Meatgrinder - especially from girls. He clutched his hoe tighter in his hands and began to dart towards what he hoped was the source of the sound. His heart was pounding in his chest. Someone might be in trouble. A survivor being eaten whole. Or it could be something even worse than that.
Whatever it was, he was ready for it. So he thought.
The last thing he expected to find was Alease standing there, her hand stuck in a wall. He stared on for a second, dumbfounded. "Alease... ?" Then, it hit him. It shouldn't have been surprising anymore. But it didn't stop him from feeling like he'd been punched in the gut when he realized there was a green tint to her skin, just like the others. One more friend turned monster. He hoisted his 'weapon' up into the air, ready to attack at a moment's notice.

A noise came from close by, her eyes widened slightly as she turned around, speak of the devil, SPEAK ON THE MOTHER ******** DEVIL AND HE WILL COME. It was Sam, the boy she had dreamt of eating, the boy who she tried to avoid, the boy who showed her friendship, and in the end the only boy besides Greyson that her heart had called out for. Huh, I guess it was only just that he was the one to find her. Something in her heart felt warm, the warmest it had felt since this had happened to her, since she had become a monster and for a moment she forgot that fact, forgot what she was. It almost brought a smile onto her cold lips.
Then she saw him hoist his weapon and the reality hit her. He wouldn't. H-He was not going to... so much for this, what ever happiness he brought to her soon disappeared and if her eyes where not so dry a tear would stream down her face. Her body knew the fact so well she even raised her hand to wipe it away. Nothing was there. He was going to kill her, at least she thought that. Her stomach churned, she could taste his blood against her lips, however she gritted her teeth, a small growl coming from her mouth before she forced herself to close her eyes, it was Sam it was Sam. He was familiar to her. She put her hand over her eyes and then leant it against the wall bowing forward in a way her hand still stuck in the wall, she could not move, she could not even run away. Was this it? everything was telling her to attack him.. she couldn't not Sam, not Sam. It was like a lion being next to a lamb she was going against everything her body told her.
She was helpless however struggling. So much could be told by her body language, funny, if she had kissed Sam... she would not have died... it was the fact she had never been kissed. In that twisted game... that this had happened to her... the irony.
'Kill me, please, just kill me....' She thought, her croaky voice actually saying the words quietly. She could not do this anymore... what life did a monster have... what life?

Sam held the hoe high over his head, his hands shaking as he readied himself to strike. Even Alease had died - he'd hoped maybe she was hiding out somewhere, somehow surviving through their own personal hell. But no. Just like everyone else that had meant something to him once in this place, she was gone too. Now he'd have to kill her, too. The thought made a lump form in his throat. The other zombie he'd attacked, he hadn't really known. He'd been too shocked to strike Sébastien back then. Here Alease was, softly begging him to end it in her broken voice.
It hurt him even more to see she was still there inside of what should have been a hollow, dead shell. She'd even smiled for him, even for a damn second, like she'd been happy to see him the same way he wished he could have been happy to see her. The pink haired boy worried his lower lip between his teeth, still poised and ready to strike. It would be putting her out of her misery. Sparing such a sweet girl from becoming a true monster. He'd seen what zombies were capable of, the visions of Evie's death still a fresh nightmare in his head.
She didn't even look like the other zombies, not at all. Aside from the green skin, she might as well have been the same as the morning they'd eaten together. Not a single mark on her. Everything about her was the same, almost everything...
Sam knew in the back of his head he couldn't do it, even though everything was screaming at him that he had to. He vindicated himself when he realized she was trapped, unable to run or attack if she tried. It would be more logical to kill her, which a few days ago, would have been the most illogical thing he'd ever heard. He lowered the hoe, striking the ground and turning away, shaking his head and blinking back tears for the second time since he'd walked into this hell.
It wasn't like before he turned back; couldn't trust his back to her for long. Not when she was one of them. "How did everything get so ********?" It was a jarring question out of the boy who loved to joke and laugh, and he knew she didn't have an answer for him. No one did.

Nothing happened... no pain... what? what was happening.. was it over? Alease opened her eye slightly looking to the side, he was no loner facing him. This shocked her. What was he doing? why didn't he he still cared... this hurt. How could he. She was not even human any more. Her heart did not even beat any more but with each second it felt like it was, faster and faster now he was here... Sam.. her Sam. Of cause he would not strike her, he was too much of a good person. However that dream that vivid dream still burned in her mind like it was a memory. If she had not felt this passion for him in life... then in death she would be sure it was the lust to rip open his flesh and drink his blood like it was water. Sam... what was she meant to do? she wanted to feed on him so bad. It was like a drug... like she needed to devour him. Maybe that way he would be hers forever...
What ever part of this monster was still Alease was for now winning. She reached out for him. "Sam.... Please." Spoke a voice which held some kind of resemblance to what it used to be, now it was crocked and dry, like she had a serious cold. She was not hoping for anything with this attempt to reach out for him. How could she ask so much for him... after all he still had a chance... he still had a chance of a normal life. It was best for him to forget all about it, to forget the they ever met, to forget she spilt his god damn cereal. Then again... maybe she was the one getting off lighter. She would die and her pain would stop. He would have to live on knowing that once upon a time she lived, once upon a time... she meant something to him. Or at last she hoped. Maybe it would be best if he didn't she was being so selfish it was choking her, if it was not just her decaying dry throat crumbling. She must be so hideous to him right now.

He didn't know the urges her twisted mind was feeding her, affection intertwined so delicately with a lust for blood. His blood. All he knew was the way she called to him, pleading with him in that voice that was still so much her own. There was nothing monstrous about it. The same voice of the girl the other students loved to pick on, snickering at every tiny misstep the poor girl took. The same Alease he'd liked being around, joked with, the same pretty girl - just with a fresh hue of color to her skin and a desperation in her eyes that had never been there before. Through all the cracks the others had taken at her, she'd stayed strong, only to break down to this.
It was the way she reached for him that made Sam's chest ache even more than before. Was it for him, some shred of humanity? Or was it for death? Did she know the monster she'd become? "I liked you, you know." He didn't know why he was telling her this now. It wouldn't change a damn thing, now. Maybe that's why he did it. What was the point in hiding something from the dead? "I was going to ask you out sometime. Like a movie or something lame like that."
He chuckled bitterly at the thought, and found himself edging closer in spite of his better judgment. She looked the same. Exactly the same. Acted the same. Maybe... he hadn't seen a lot of these 'greenies' up close and personal. None that were close to him. Maybe it wasn't as hopeless as everyone made it out to be. "It was gonna be that zombie flick too, now that I think about it. Kinda... funny right?" Ironic. Disgustingly ironic.

Alease lowered her hand as he came towards her, her eyes widening slightly at what he was saying, was he joking? this was not fair! why did she have to die! for a second time her life flashed before her eyes, it was not the one she had lived, it was the one she could be living now. Even though these where the words she longed to hear. It was stabbing at her heart, why couldn't he have said something sooner, why could she not be alive too? She wondered, blood had stained her face, making it look like tears, tears what would have been there right now. She grunted.
"Maybe... in some other reality we are... sat there now watching it now. In another life... when we are both cats..."
She joked, quoting vanilla sky one of her favourite films. It was all about surrealism, living a dream? she hoped she was, she hoped he would wake her up. Please Sam... I want to wake up now. I want to go home. I dont want to die, not a second time. Then she looked to the floor. He was getting nearer his sent was like fresh bread to her nostrils. Her dry mouth was watering, at least psychologically she thought it was. She wanted him so bad it hurt. This was Sam, she could not hurt Sam! oh god no... what was she going to do.
"I like you too, I am dead Sam... please, you liked me. I am not the person you liked... please run Sam... run... and forget... run... please run..."
She repeated biting her bottom lip with her yellowed teeth which where sharper than they used to be. Man please listen... she did not know how long she could control herself...

A ghost of a smile passed over Sam's lips in spite of it all, surprised that he knew the movie she quoted. If he knew what she was thinking, he would have said he wished the same. He'd clung so long to the hope that he'd open his eyes and find out it was all just another nightmare. Now, it was all but dead, snuffed and pissed on until it was nothing but smoldering embers on the ground.
The sheer fact that she could joke like that, or even quote something like that, just awoke a new hope within him. If enough of her was there to do that, then it couldn't be over yet. It just couldn't. There wasn't a cure for being dead, and he knew that. If there was, the world would probably be a much happier place. But maybe there was a way around it, or maybe they could find something else for her to eat. There had to be a way, he was convincing himself. There had to be something he could do for her.
She was wrong, dead wrong. (No pun intended.) "You are though." Sam sounded so determined, almost desperate to make her believe him. "Just listen to yourself. You're still Alease, I know you are!"
He was coming closer, still, unaware of what he was doing to her. "How... did you die, anyway? You even look the same." Everything, height and all. That ghost of a smile again. "You could still own the runway. Might start a new trend." Screw what everyone else said. He always thought she had the build of a model going for her, and he was convinced that's the only reason people picked on her like they had. Jealousy, pure and simple. Wasn't like she'd ever done anything to deserve it, sweet as she was.

How did she die?
"I woke up in a room with three others, no doors just a box strapped to the roof.... We where made to play a game.... where if you had done something you would take a drink from this bottle... I have never kissed a person so I did not drink... when it was all gone... we found out it was the antipode to a poison we had been given before hand... I was the only one to die. It was like falling asleep. It was not painful but... I was so scared I was that only one that was... the others where acting like it was a joke... but the last laugh was on me... then I was freed when... I woke up in flames... the school was on fire... so I hid..."
She stated shaking her head, she could not even look at him but at least the story distracted her for a while. Her last living words is that she hated them all.. she hated them more than anything. She did... they where all freaks, whores and alcoholics, they even insulted her by offering to kiss her... she felt she was the only normal good person... yet she died... only her out of that whole group because she had never kissed any more. Why did that seal her fate? why? Her stomach growled once more, she could taste him... man he tasted so good, so good she could not even force herself to tell him to run.
"I am not... I am not me.... I am a monster, people dont look up to monsters.... I am more hideous now than I was in life.... "

Sam halted mid-step, his eyes widening. "A room? Wait. Someone locked you in a room?" Just like him and the others had been. It hadn't just been them. Maybe it wasn't exactly the same thing. But it was close enough, both twisted games in their own ways, and both ending in death. He didn't even realize when he got close enough to grab her shoulder, his grip tight as the revelation sank in. "Who did it? Did you see anyone? Please, Alease, you've gotta tell me! Any details you remember, any at all!"
There was a part of him so relieved that she hadn't died in agony. Not like so many others he'd seen. She hadn't been ripped apart, gouged, or burned. Just a quiet, humble death for someone who he wished so desperately hadn't had to die at all. He felt a pang of guilt, again, even if he knew it wasn't his fault. But maybe if he'd said something to her sooner. Maybe then he could have given her the edge she needed to live to see another day. He could have found her here amongst the ruins, whole and living. Sam would have taken her back to the others, however few were left, and he would have protected her. Maybe they would even find a way to make it out in one piece.
Always. He always lingered on the things he couldn't do a damn thing to change.
Sam shook his head furiously again, the grasp on her shoulder slackening a little. "You never were hideous, Alease... and you're still not. Some people would kill for an olive complexion, you know. You just got the wrong olive." He flashed her a weak smile to show he was just kidding with her, trying to earn a smile like she used to give. She was the same, in his eyes. Color didn't mean a damn thing. She was still there, wasn't that all that mattered? He'd prove it, too.
Maybe it wasn't enough to save her in the game, or to make her heart start beating again. But maybe, he thought as he leaned down to press his lips to her own, however brief it was, it would be enough to show her there was no monster here.

"I dont remember being kid-napped or poisoned... we where just left there... just a crackling box... it was ll done very secretively. I am sorry I can not help you more, if there was anything else I would tell you I promise-"
Alease halted slightly as he kissed her, her eyes widening, just for a moment she felt alive again just for a moment. She looked at him with eyes which sparkled slightly. Then her blood red eyes turned to look what they represented to be, in a single second something inside her snapped. Sometimes she could not explain herself, like someone else was taking over her.
She smiled and gulped, man this was so god damn awful, but it felt so right at the same time. She smiled and lent towards him pressing her lips around his neck, wrapping her free hand around him to give him a tight hug a hug that soon got too tight. She could not help it any more. What was happening to her?
"Sam... I am so sorry..."
She kissed him one more time before her mouth opened in the curve between his neck and his shoulder... a tear coming down her face. A moment passed. Before her teeth sunk into him.

She didn't know anything. Sam knew he should have guessed as much. His group hadn't had any clues to go by either. He wondered, idly, if any of the others there had made it. The girl who'd shut herself in (or been locked in), or that couple that had gone off together. If they had, maybe one of them would - no. They probably wouldn't know anything he didn't know.
He hated to admit that there was something bitter to the flavor of her lips, something rotten. Maybe she didn't look dead, but he could taste death of her lips. It didn't matter. He stubbornly stood by what he'd said, especially when he saw the vibrant look in her eyes as she pulled back and that flawless smile on her face. He smiled back, and it was the most hopeful he'd been in days. There was a chance, he knew it.
He felt a surge of warmth when Alease pressed her lips so gingerly to his neck, easing into her embrace and wrapping an arm around her shoulders. Something to hold onto. "It'll be okay, " he murmured, so sure of it. Until the hug tightened, almost painfully tight, and in that instant the heat turned to ice. Sam's eyes widened. "Alease?" There was a note of panic in his voice now. No, please. Please, fight it. She was there, she was there, she was there, she was --
She was apologizing to him for what she was about to do. And in that instant, Sam wished he'd just run. Anything he could have done to avoid this. He was frozen, gone rigid with fear and grief for what he knew this was going to come down to now. His hand slipped down off her shoulder to his side, grabbing a hold of the mirror that had saved him in the first place and guaranteed him a place in hell.
It was a seal on both their fates when those teeth sank in to his shoulder, drawing a ragged scream of pain from the pink haired boy. In that same instant, he swung the mirror in his hand at the side of her head.

Alease continued to bite in deeper and deeper into the flesh at the side of his neck, it was soft and because vein's seemed to be so close to it, blood flowed easily from it into her mouth. It was warm and soothing, the agonizing hunger in her belly seemed to be disappearing quickly and for a moment she lost herself. Along with any sense of what she was doing, all the mattered to her was a animal instinct to feed that had been bothering her these last few days. Then she was awaken from it by a sharp blow at the side of the head. The hand she was using to hold him fell dumb and to the floor and backwards her body fell as close to the ground as she could, with a arm in the wall at least, her head slipped from his shoulders. Blood dripping from her now moist mouth. Her eyes where open and wide. The mirror lodged into her skull, black already congealed blood started to run down one side of her face. She panted heavily.
She thought if she was going to die, death would not be as hard on her the second time, this time she did not have as much to loose and for sure she did not fear it was much as she did the first time. However for some reason she was still sad. I mean... it was all over finally. It was a shame her chapter ended in such a way, however she could not ask for anyone better to be at her side whilst this was happening. She closed her eyes and her breathing seemed to stop, her chest tightened, after all she had something pressing into her brain it was hard to do anything like that, she was not super human, just a animated corpse, who might have finally be put to rest. Finally able to sleep and know she was no danger to anyone any more especially Sam.... poor Sam.... had he killed her.... AGAIN?
As she said, she would meet him in the next life... when they where both cats.

It would have been nice if Sam could have left it at that. But he'd seen these zombies come back from worse, only to attack again. In that moment, fresh blood and pain blossoming from his shoulder, something in him finally snapped. He lunged back, grasped the hoe tighter still in his hands, and did what he should have in the first place; he screamed, and swung. Again. And again. And again. The dull thud of the metal slamming against her body sang in the air, spiced with the cracking of bones under the onslaught.
He'd been wrong. This wasn't Alease. It had never been Alease. Just a monster all along, wearing her skin. The realization stabbed him deeper than even her teeth had gone, drew something from him much worse than blood or tendon. She had no right to look like Alease. And by the time he stepped back and the hoe clattered to the ground beside him, she didn't. Just a broken, mangled body at his feet, twisted in ways no human body should ever be.
Which was worse, the way she looked now, knowing what he'd done... or knowing that he'd held such hope for this thing, even kissed it? It was then he finally gave him, doubling over to vomit out what little granola he'd eaten - and there was a part of him than would rather take that then the taste of her rotting lips that lingered on his own. The pink haired boy collapsed to his knees, his throat and eyes burning. He didn't even know when he started screaming again. Everything was broken, ruined like that mirror in her head. All fragments and shards that he'd never be able to collect with bleeding fingertips.
