While most, including myself, doubt the existence of the eerie figure created at somethingawfulforums, there is something of the supernatural in the way he walks or moves. It's difficult to believe that something so frightening could have been created out of a dare.
Supposed sightings have been supposedly reported from various regions of the globe, but I am highly critical of this.
The Slenderman is a ridiculously tall, lanky figure in a fine suit with a blurred face. It is said that his arms sprout into tentacles, and that others see him before they die, or that he manipulates others into killing people, or even that his victims are specifically children.
He is the main villain in the eerie and well-done marblehornets series on youtube.
Any one fascinated by cryptozoology, and urban legends in entertainment, should definitely check them out.
All hail the Slenderman!

Every time I hear something about the Slenderman I'm reminded of a short story I read a while back called 'The Tall Men'. I wish I could remember the aurthor but my sister has that book (I think) so I'll try and look it up.

I got hooked on Marble Hornets the night before last, in fact. It's pretty good thus far (aside from one or two sighworthy moments).
