A subdivision of the B.O.O. Combat division.
We operate in the skies and in space, protecting Gaia from threats coming from anywhere and everywhere.
We fight for what is good and just. We stand up for those who cannot defend themselves.
"Compassion. Honour. Honesty. Nobility. Patience. These are the virtues we live our lives by."
We hold true to the core values of the Benevolent Order of the Overseer.

The B.O.O. Air Force accepts members from all three divisions of B.O.O.
We especially love those from the Spellcasting division who know Aeromancy.
We will teach everyone how to fly the aircraft of their choice. Learning how to fly an aircraft will take approximately one month. As in the official RP, just post here that your character is learning to fly.
However, it is not necessary to learn to fly any aircraft to be in the BOOAF. Aeromancers, for instance, may fly using only their own magic. And those with wings may just fly naturally. Also, one may stay on the ground altogether if one wants to.

The BOOAF is divided into Combat, Medical, Engineering, and Exploration divisions.
The BOOAF combat division's mission is much the same as the BOO Combat division. However, they are able to use weaponry built into aircraft. This weaponry varies depending on aircraft but may include guns, bombs, and other ranged/projectile weapons.
The BOOAF Medical division consists of healers who travel with others from the BOOAF as they go where other BOO members cannot.
The BOOAF Engineering division takes care of the aircraft. They also develop new technologies. They build new aircraft and spacecraft. They can either use technology or magic to do their jobs.
The BOOAF Exploration division explores uncharted parts of Gaia and space. They search for new things and make new discoveries. They must be sensitive to the people they encounter and respectful towards their cultures and beliefs.

How to Fly It takes one month to learn to fly. However, if someone already knows how to fly, they may help you and you can learn to fly in 2 weeks. Also, Aeromancers who can already fly using their own powers need not learn how to fly again.
Flying an aircraft takes several turns. First turn you come off the ground. Next turn you are in the air. Once in the air you can use any BOOAF skills you have learned as well as any skills you've learned in the official RP within reason. Landing is the hard part. It takes two turns to land. First turn is your decent. Second turn is your actual landing. You can only successfully land if you roll a 4, 5, or 6. If you roll a 1, 2, or 3 you must some about and try again. Also, the aircraft you are using may require that you only land in certain places. Once landed, you should probably find a good place to park your aircraft!
Aircraft need fuel. All B.O.O. aircraft are eco friendly and run on sea water! You'll need to refuel your aircraft every 50 turns.
Spacecraft are flown differently from aircraft. You need to learn a special skill to enter space unless you happen to be Zurg. Zurg can do whatever they want in space. Spacecraft do not need to be refueled but they do need to have their missions planned out a bit in advance.

PLEASE NOTE THAT Skills learned in the BOOAF cannot be used outside of the BOOAF without mod approval! All skills take three days to learn. Just post that your character is learning the skill here and you'll have it learned in three days. You can learn from any of these skill pools. But you must learn the skills within them in order. For example, you can start by learning from the Secondary skill pool but you may not start with a Level 2 skill in the Secondary skill pool. In other words, you can learn Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary in any order but you must start with Level 1, then Level 2, then Level 3. You can only learn one skill at a time. As in the official RP, you roll when using certain skills.
Skills:
Primary: Level 1: Hold on Tight With this skill, you will not be thrown out of an aircraft in an accident or by another member of the BOOAF. You will also not get motion sickness. You may use this skill on other people as well. Level 2: Pull G's Make super sharp turns, stall your engine, do a barrel roll, whatever. You can do whatever crazy tricks you want as long as your aircraft can handle it. Level 3: Gun It Accelerate very quickly to get ahead or escape. You will need to roll a 5 or 6 to escape. Level 4:Emergency Exit Escape from your aircraft if it is in danger of being destroyed. You may use this skill on other people as well. Level 5: Airsickness Bag You may take passengers along with you. The number of passengers depends on the size of your aircraft.
Secondary: Level 1: Open Fire Shoot at a target with whatever weapon is on your aircraft. Roll to determine success. Level 2: Stealth Whatever number you roll is the number of turns you can fly unseen. Level 3: Drop a Bomb If you have one available, drop a bomb on your target. Level 4: Homing Torpedo Fire a torpedo that will track your target. Only rolling a 1 will cause it to miss.
Tertiary: Level 1: Fly in Formation Coordinate with the other people you're flying with. Level 2: Transonic Pass the speed of sound. The sonic boom you create will stun enemies if you roll a 5 or 6. Level 3: Escape Velocity Only works in spacecraft. You may enter space in one turn if you roll a 4, 5 or 6. Otherwise, it will take three turns.

Setting: The B.O.O. Air Force Headquarters is located on an island a few kilometers north of Isle de Gambino. A ferry runs to the island from the beach of The Training Grounds. It has two long, paved runways, an Air Traffic Control tower, and a lot of empty space where various aircraft are parked. There are two very large buildings. The first one is where the aircraft are built. The second one is where spacecraft are built. There is one other building on the island. It is the actual headquarters and is filled with offices. There is also comfortable lodging there and a cafeteria for people who want to stay overnight at the BOOAF HQ.
