I always dress up for the holidays. Always. And it's killing me not to be ably to this year.
Is anyone else having this problem?
And can any offer words of encouragement?

Don't worry. sad I know how you feel.
I was doing great, because I had my mule dressed up for Christmas, but then the caroling items came out. They're so nice. But I still remained strong.
But then my sister and our real life friend dressed up all in the caroling items and called themselves the Rockettes. I really wanted to dress up with them to.
It was the closest I ever came to changing my avatar since the 6th of November. I dressed up my mule like them, but it wasn't the same. *sigh* But I got through it. You have to, too! Be strong! We all want to change our avatars, but that's why we're here! To support each other! To see that there are others like us not willing to change and that will give us strength. The BOO skin is a mark of beauty in its own right. We'll all get by. biggrin

I really wanted to dress up for christmas. It really is killing me.
But one thing that helps is when I go to the dress up option, I take a good look at the ugly boo skin and remember why I'm doing this. Also keep in mind, your avatar looks very nice. There are some of us who are as unfortunate as to not be able to look as nice as you do when we had our last change of clothing.... neutral

I wanted to dress up for Christmas, but I did my mule instead. Using my mule for this been fine for me. And now I already have another outfit planned out for it. I guess why it doesn't really affect me to not change this avi is because I get on my mule as much as I get on this account. So it's kind of like two main accounts now.

I made a new account to put all my items on. (Astrellez) and I go on that account quite a bit now. Having that one's helped me sooooo much!

Its hard, somedays harder than others. I agree that seeing the fancy new caroling items just killed me.
But I dunno, make a mule and do it that way, thats what people have been suggesting to me.
Sorry for the brief and unenlightening posts today, my brain is fried. I'm finally done school for the holidays and I'm just recuperating..

I made another account, and it's helping me at least a little bit.
I always like dressing up for holidays...even if I didn't have much holiday items, I would just wear newb clothes, red and green smile
Like Elleyea said, looking at the Potatoverseer also reminds me why I keep my skin.
I am also like Teru girl, my other account is beginning to act as another main.
But be strong, and let's all help each other get through!!! whee
