Suncamilahsundi found herself bored of the morning snow. Sure it was great, and all, but after awhile it got a little old. Her heavy thick coat was bright, as well as dark. Dark purple with a brighter purple and orange crossed it. She stood out in the snow almost too well. She had no family, or none that she knew of. So life was pretty dull on those long winter days.
She rolled in the snow out of boredom. Trying to come up with something to do on this day. She could go hunting, though that was never fun. She wasn't exactly too good at that. She liked sharing someone's meal. That way she wouldn't waste it if she couldn't eat it all, and she didn't have to catch it herself. She didn't care about hurting the creature if it was for food. She closed her eyes as she just lay in the snow now. Just letting the flakes hit her, then melt away as soon as they did.

The snow-covered ground in front of him hid many mysteries... currently, he was trying to hunt down a snow fox; that kind of prey was always a challenge to him, so he was trying to see if he could catch one. These snow-drifting days were often slow, and since he was alone, he didn't bother to care about the time. The only time he cared about 'time' was when it was time for bed, or for food. Somewhat. Well, no matter--what the...? It was at that point Ying Jie had noticed something odd. He had never seen anything else like this before... purple? Orange? What strange colors...? Royalty, perhaps? Only the ones with royal blood had such bright colors... a leopardess?
As he approached, he realized he had just run across said snow fox he'd been looking for, and unfortunately... he'd scared it off. He growled softly under his breath as he watched it dart off... towards the leopardess. The thing was tiny, so it wouldn't only been a snack. He'd only been hunting it for the purpose of honing his skills as a hunter... he honestly wanted to find something bigger with more meat... What did it take to find a good meal around here? The rabbits in these areas were smarter than they looked, as were the foxes... All these prey forced him to be smarter, of course, in order to outsmart them in order to survive--by now, he was sure the leopardess he was staring at just had to be royalty. Her coloring was just abnormal.
"Greetings, m'lady," he called, approaching her ever so carefully.

Suncamilahsundi heard the soft trots of something small, but didn't open her eyes. She figured that a small creature had just noticed she was there and decided to run off. Though, it was odd that it was running towards and past her. She let it slide for she was busy thinking. Having always thought with her eyes closed, it seemed to keep herself concentrated upon the issue at hand rather getting distracted of the little things such a rabbit, or a tiny fox.
Though, something didn't seem right. A voice filled her orange ears. Which, as it did so, one eye popped open as she scanned the land towards the voice. It was another snow leopard. Full of dark browns in color. Her long tail bounced softly upon the snow below. Making a crunch sound every time it hit the ground. "So formal?" She asked as she rolled to her side. Her fur now with white snow stuck to it. Though, it didn't stay long as it slowly, but surely melted away.
"Why?" She asked him curiously. She wondered if he was always this formal to everyone he met, or it was just a random time. Or maybe he mistaken her for someone else? She wasn't sure. She was no rude the way she went about her questions. Her orange eyes stared at his green ones. They were very light green eyes. Almost as green as a certain type of grass she had once seen. But hadn't seen in a long time. It had been awhile since she had seen another, let alone another leopard. "I'm Suncamilahsundi" She said "But you can call me Sun."

He narrowed his eyes as his prey escaped past the leopardess, who apparently paid no heed to it. Well, it was... just as well. The snow fox was such a small creature, as it was. His ears perked up as the leopardess's voice reached his ears, and he turned his pale green eyes upon her as she introduced herself. What an... incredibly long and complex name, he decided. Suited perfectly for royalty, perhaps. "Lady Suncamilahsundi," he greeted, formal as ever. "An honor to meet your presence. I am Ying Jie, protector of all things good and honest." Okay, well, perhaps that was more a dream, but he liked to think himself a hero of sorts. Certainly it was better than being what his parents used to be... if he could remember them.
He tilted his head at her question, and then smiled softly. "I am under the assumption you are asking why I am formal... it is because we are thus far strangers, and I do not know you well as of yet. That may change... Lady Sun," he agreed to calling her "Sun"... as long as he was still at a formal distance. Sometimes he was too stubborn for his own good, certainly. "My lady, you may call me Jie, if it pleases you, or Ying, if that pleases you more," he added as an afterthought. Perhaps she'd feel less wary if he were to also produce a nickname... after all, his own name was like two, though it was one. If that made any sense. He was still wondering why all he could remember was his own name and his parents, but not where he came from, nor what had happened. All he knew, of course, was that he had fought to survive in these harsh lands, and that Suncamilahsundi was the first of his kind he'd ever met in a long time.

"You don't have to call me Lady." She giggled at him. He was such a silly male. "You are making me feel as if I'm someone of importance using that." She said. She didn't think she was, anyways. She didn't remember her past as far as she could think about it. Not that it really mattered to her. She was no princess, no lady of any sort. Though, if he liked calling every female Lady, she supposed she couldn't really say much upon the matter. "Unless you must use it, that is" She added to make sure that she wasn't going to force him into calling her Just Sun.
"Well, what would you wish me to call you more? Jie or Ying?" She asked him with a raised brow. She wasn't sure which to call him. She had never been given two names to call someone by. Unless it was a nickname. Though, he never gave her his full name. Just two names. "Though Ying sounds better, reminds me of the day, or light." She said thinking on what Ying actually meant. There was Ying and then Yang. Maybe he had a twin of some sort? She didn't ask though.
She finally sat up, realizing it was probably rude to continue to lay there upon the ground. "Do excuse me if I have no manors. "She paused "I'm not one who normally runs into others." She finished. She wasn't going to use that fully as an excuse for her actions, but for now it'd do.
