Rules 1. Follow Gaia TOS/ Guild Rules/ Forum Regulations 2. Apply and get accepted before you post 3. I am God 4. Be respectful 5. Be literate 6. You can have more than one character. 7. Your character does not actually have to have the right birthday to fit into the sign. For example: My character Astrid's birthday is June 6th, but that doesn't mean she HAS to be a Gemini. She can be an Aries, or whatever. 8. No power playing. No God-Modding. You should know what this is, but if you don't, head over to the Writer's Workshop and read Enmy's wonderful guide. 9. Romance is fine. Violence is fine. Keep it PG-13. You know the drill. 10. OPTIONAL: You may PM ME or post in the OOC board to reserve a Sign spot before sending in an application. This is to make sure that the RP doesn't get too clogged/that one sign doesn't get overused. 11. Since there is no posting order, and this is a rather large RP, I would recommend reserving your posting spot if you are working on one. However, if you dont post within 24 hours, your reservation will be ignored/deleted. 12. Please keep fonts size 10 or bigger. I'd prefer if you kept it 10-11 actually. I don't like huge fonts either. 13. You do not have to decorate your posts (but you can if you want whee ) 14. Please read the FAQs before PMing me with a question. 15. Further rules subject to be added/changed

~The Legend of the Zodiac~ The Relics: The Crown of Aries The Mirror of Gemini The Clock of Cancer The Sands of Scorpio The Cape of Taurus The Chain of Libra The Bow of Sagittarius The Shield of Leo The Pipes of Capricorn The Veil of Virgo The Crystal of Pisces The Vase of Aquarius Long ago, at the beginning of time, 12 Relics were forged: one by each member of the Zodiac- the ruling Gods of the planet Steria. These Relics were given to the elders of Steria as a safeguard for their beloved planet.
Whenever each of the Relics were brought together, the Gods of the Zodiac would grant a wish to whoever possessed them.
The elders knew if a single one of them was in charge of all the relics, the power would be much too great and would surely corrupt them. Therefore, they decided to divide the land into 12 kingdoms, one for each sign, and they would each take their respective Relic back to their kingdom and rule for a year.
Once a year, the elders would reunite in the Capital of Steria, a neutral city called Mirr, each bringing their Relic, to have a conference and make one collective, annual wish- for whatever they decided Steria needed most. This way, they could use the power wisely, without abusing it.
Of course, the rest of the People of Steria heard of the powers of the Relics eventually, and soon, everyone wanted their own wish. They clambered at their kings' walls, sometimes armed with weapons, each demanding a wish: jewels, gold, fame, power, love, peace, beauty, health, wisdom, success: anything and everything that man strives to obtain. The sheer mass of the People soon overwhelmed the elders, now kings, and they were forced to give into their desires.
They brought all the Relics together in Mirr and opened their powers to the public, thinking this would once again bring peace to Steria.
Of course, this resulted in immediate disaster.
Those who desired to be the most powerful man in the world began to fight each other; in their eyes, there could only be One. Wars were fought, lives were lost.
Those who desired money kept coming back to Mirr and getting more, feeding their addiction, and thoroughly killing any sort of economic or labor system which may have once existed.
Then, there were the Love wishes, which were possibly the worst of all. John wishes for Jill's love, who wishes for Jack's, who wants Sally's, who wants Tommy's, who actually wants John. Many more wars were fought by spurned lovers.
And of course, as with any species, there were also bad apples. Evil people began using the unregualted Relics to wish for harmful things. Death, destruction, and sorrow filled the land.
The Gods of the Zodiac, seeing that the People could not be trusted with unlimited, unregulated power, intervened. They attempted to take back the Relics, and destroy them, but, as they were made by Gods, the Relics were indestructible, and could not even be drained of power.
So, the Gods of the Zodiac took the Relics from the People, and hid them in the most desolate, impenetrable, protected, unreachable, or simply unknown places of Steria, where they were to remain separated for all time.
So people simply forgot about them, over time. Decades turned into centuries, and fact turned into legend. Now the Relics were the stuff of fairytales. People simply didn't believe in them anymore.
Until now.
Sometimes, if someone wants something bad enough, they are willing to believe anything to obtain it.
A group of adventurers has gathered in Mirr, each willing to risk their reputations, their health, and even their lives for something as simple as a wish.
A wish for anything. This isn't like one of those fine-print wish stories, where you can't wish for love, or murder, or more wishes. You can have anything.
The adventurers have gathered together for a quest for the relics, each desiring something and willing to risk everything to get it.
The road will be dangerous, but to some, that's a small price to pay for your one desire.

The World of Steria The Land The Mainland: Mirr: The Capital of Steria. The biggest city in the land, Mirr is home to the widest variety of Signs and People. Often dubbed the "Melting Pot" of Steria, tt also has the most advanced technology, and the most talented crafters and smiths in the land.
Hartshire: The biggest tourist spot on Steria, Hartshire is where people go to spend their summer vacations. It's situated right between the shady Belden Forest and the beautiful Blesdale Beach. The most common signs who live here are: Cancer, Aquarius, Virgo, and Libra.
Maldette: A quaint forest town, Maldette is noted for its peaceful atmosphere and quiet restfulness. It is mainly inhabited by the Sagittarius, though they are very welcoming to any visitors.
Vina: Located in the middle of Belden Forest, Vina is not a place for the fainthearted. Populated by hostile Sagittarius, Gemini, Capricorn, Scorpio, and Leo, it's a rough town to stay in overnight. Although, it is better than staying in the forest alone.
Valdesta Pointe: An exclusive, resort-style area, only the wealthy of Steria are able to live here. Leos, Aries, Libras, and some of the more successful Cancers are the most common residents, but they're not picky as long as you have cash.
Pralene: A cozy mountain town, Pralene is a warm Capricorn territory, known for its farms and inns.
Silverbarrow: One of the more mysterious areas of Steria, Silverbarrow is home to Virgo priests and priestesses in training. It is nearly impossible to reach, surrounded by the Fogue Mountains to the West, the Sea of Sartaine to the North, Belden Forest to the East, and Lake Elboss to the South. They do allow visitors, but only for healing purposes. The only permanent residents allowed are Virgos and their Taurus guards.
Caverton: Another forest town, Caverton is mainly populated by Sagittarius, Taurus, Cancer, Aries, and Capricorn. Though they are a bit more welcoming than Vina, they still tend to keep to themselves.
Farr: A thriving Aquarius port, Farr is one of the friendliest places in all of Steria. Aquarians and Pisces are the most common residents of this magical town, though they are very tolerant of all other Signs.
Jaxton: Located in the "Middle of Nowhere", Jaxton is another mysterious city, sitting right on the edge of Crystal Lake, the fabled laoction of the Crystal of Pisces. It is mainly populated by Pisces, though there have been reports of Libras and a few Scorpios residing there as well.
Ajian: The capital city for Scorpios, Ajian is located in the center of Kahjava Desert, making travel there highly uncomfortable for anyone BUT Scorpios. A highly secretive group, they keep to themselves and allow only a FEW the strongest Signs into their fold, such as Leos, Geminis,Taurus's, and Aries.
Port Engle: Home to Aquarians and Cancers, Port Engle is another dangerous place to stay. Constantly attacked by pirates from Khop Isle, one must be as cutthroat as their opponents to make a living in Engle.
Roanan: Known for its extremely liberal laws, Roanan is the main Libra city. To some, its a paradise of free love, irregulated subtance use, and partying. To others, it's Sin City incarnate, a nightmare for all things Virgo. All signs are welcome here, but only the more adventurous come. Other common residents are Sagittarius, Aries, and Gemini.
Mordale: Known as the City of Scholars, Mordale is home to the more intellectual signs. Virgo, Aries, Gemini, and some Leo and Cancer reside here. Full of libraries, museums, colleges, and theaters, it's a treat for the more cultured of Steria.
Litheron: Located in the middle of Steria's one continent, Litheron is neither near a forest or a water supply, making it very hard to come by natural resources. One of the poorer towns of Steria, Litheron is overpopulated, underfed, and has a high crime rate.
*Millenia: A fabled city. Once known as the Aries Capital, known for its riches and gold, the land has been overtaken by greedy dragons, and no People have been brave enough to venture there. The Renien Isles: Lerane: The biggest island of Renia, Lerane is home to mainly Cancers, a few Aquarians, and a few Taurus's from Fet. Its capital Fae is known as the food meccha of Steria, and all great chefs hope to one day train here.
Fet: The main training island for Taurus, other Signs rarely venture here.
Khop: Only inhabited by the toughest of People, Khop is home to assassins, pirates, and bandits. The government had once tried to intervene, but gave up eventually. Khop is also known as the Lawless Isle. Island of Lambeth: Seceil: Home to mainly Geminis, Seceil also welcomes Libras and Aries. Though located in a desert, Seceil's climate is more like that of a tropical area, and the city is thriving with tourism and known for its fashion and weapon crafting.
Granala: Known as the City of the Lions, Granala is home to mostly Leos. This is where the central government and military of Steria is located.

The People The People of Steria are born into one of 3 main races:

More about these later.
They all coexist peacefully, and each of the inhabitants are born under one of the 12 Zodiac signs: Ḷῗƃɍɑ: The ScalesRuling planet: Venus RPG type: Temptress, Enchantress. Think: Blair from Soul Eater Highest attribute: Magic Second: Dexterity Typical traits: Romantic, feminine, charismatic, and sociable, Libras on the planet Steria are gifted with charm, grace, and a certain magic over the opposite sex. †ɑῧʀῧ₴The BullRuling planet: Venus RPG Type: The Tank. Think: Auron from FFX Highest Attribute: Strength Second: Stamina Typical traits: Determined, possessive, persistent, and secure, a Taurus makes an ideal bodyguard or protector. Think: White Mage Highest Attribute: Magic Second: Stamina Typical Traits: Modest, conservative, practical, and a bit of a perfectionist, Virgos are the purest of the signs, able to heal with their powers. ɢεɱɨɳȋThe TwinsRuling planet: Mercury RPG Type: The Dual Wielder. Think: Sora from KH2, Vash from Trigun Highest Attribute: Speed Second: Strength Typical Traits: On Steria, a select group of People are gifted with the power to wield two weapons at once: blades, guns, whatever. These People are the Geminis. Versatile, adaptable, witty, and intellectual, they can sometimes seem hotheaded and full of themselves, yet they are still a beloved class. ځḁṗŗĩȼȫɍɳThe GoatRuling planet: Saturn RPG Type: The Beastmaster/Summoner/Shapeshifter. Think: Yuna, or a Werewolf. Highest Attribute: Magic Second: Strength Typical Traits: Patient, disciplined, and reserved, Capricorns tend to connect more with the animals of Steria rather than the People. Some can summon nearby animals to fight for them; a few are even gifted with the power to shapeshift into the type of animal they connect with the most. Άqῧɑʀɨῧ₴The Water CarrierRuling Planet: Saturn/Uranus RPG Type: Magician/Wizard. Highest Attribute: Magic Second: More Magic XD Typical Traits: Friendly, honest, and loyal, an Aquarius makes the ideal companion. Preferring to live near the water, the source of their magic, Aquarius's are gentle people. Ƨɑҩȋ††ɑʀɨῧƧThe Centaur/Archer Ruling planet: Jupiter RPG Type: Archer. Think: Legolas Highest Attribute: Dexterity Second: Speed Typical Traits: Optimistic, fun-loving, and jovial, the Saggitarius knows how to have a good time; however, they can sometimes be childish and irresponsible. Elves, with their quick reflexes and fun personalities, are the most common Sagittarius's. Next are the centaurs. ζȼσɍρίϱThe ScorpionRuling planet: Pluto RPG Type: The Alchemist/Potionmaster. Think: Professor Snape meets Edward Elric Highest Attribute: Luck Second: Magic Typical Traits: Secretive, magnetic, forceful, and ambitious, the Scorpio would make the ideal Slytherin. They tend to live in desert or rain forest regions for their hot temperatures and supplies of rare ingredients for potions. The more shrewd of the Scorpios use their vast knowledge of poisons to prove useful in battle, while the more innocent are content to brew remedies for diseases. ḸḕȫThe LionRuling planet: the Sun RPG Type: The Warrior. Think: All the main characters from video games ever. Highest Attribute: Strength Second: More Strength XD Typical Traits: Warmhearted, valiant, noble, chilavalrous, and generous Leos are the "heroes" of Steria. However, sometimes they can be bossy and patronizing to those they believe are "below them". Those who are not particularly gifted on the battlefield usually become strategists or politicians. ₱ῗȼیḕێThe fishRuling planet: Jupiter and Neptune RPG Type: The Black Mage/Witch. Think: Lulu from FFX, Luna from HP. Highest Attribute: Luck Second: Magic Typical Traits: Inuitive, airy-fairy, unwordly, and idealistic, Pisces are blessed with psychic abilities, and are some of the rarest types of the Zodiac. The ones with darker inclinations are prone to delve into the occult side of Steria, and can sometimes master black magic. Ąȓȋȅʂ The RamRuling planet: Mars RPG type: The Hunter or fighter. Think: Tidus from FFX Highest Attribute: Speed Second: Strength Typical traits: Headstrong, energetic, enthusiastic, and impulsive, Aries are never ones to stay quiet at home. They are quick to lead, but their impatience can sometimes lead to disaster. They work best in a balanced team. Ҫɑɳȼεʀ The CrabRuling planet: The Moon RPG Type: Artisans, Crafters: Good with their hands: Ideal chefs, mechanics, builders, etc. Highest Attribute: Dexterity Second: Magic Typical Traits: Emotional, loving, cautious, and moody, Cancers are best in a profession that requires sympathy, such as parents, teachers, chefs, or social workers. The more gung-ho Cancers tend to be fiesty and techonology-loving, but may still end up being the "mommy" or "daddy" of any crew they are in.------------------------------------------- A bit about the races: Humans: Excel at weapons, combat, and crafting. They are the most common People of Steria.
Wizards: A type of human with magical powers. They excel at using healing, elemental, or black magic. They generally are only Libras, Aquarius's, Virgos, or Pisces, though sometimes, a few Cancers and Scorpios sneak in. Other signs CAN be born as wizards, though usually their powers are very limited, only able to do minor parlor tricks at most.
Shapeshifters: A type of human who can change form into an animal. The most powerful Shifters are the Capricorns, who are able to morph into any animal they've seen. However, a few other signs are able to shift, though usually not into anything more than their Zodiac animal. For example, a particularly gifted Aries may be able to change into a ram from time to time, but nothing more.
Centaurs: A strong, proud group, centaurs are half human, half horse. They are the rarest creatures in Steria, and are generally either very welcoming and jovial or very hostile and narcissistic. They prefer wooded areas. They tend to be Sagittarius's, but rarely can be born under another sign.
Elves: A bit shorter than humans, elves excel at archery and crafting, making them common Cancers and Sagittarius. They can be any sign, but tend to be born under Magic ones. They have pointed ears, and possess more magic than an average human, but not more than a Wizard.

FAQS If you have any questions about the RP: the story, how the characters work, whatever, please just PM or IM me or post in the OOC board (if you don't really care who sees it). All questions posted will remain anonymous though. 3nodding Q: So, I know that some signs show preference to certain races, like Aquarians tend to be wizards, but can you have like, a Leo wizard? Or a Pisces centuar?
A: Yep, you can have whatever you want. I just put that in there as kind of a safeguard against god modding. For example, let's say you want a Taurus wizard. Just make sure you give him/her weaknesses. I don't want anyone to be like OMG I AM SUPER STRONG AND IM MAGIC!!! IM UNSTOPPABLE!!! But I think we're all mature enough in this guild to avoid that XD so I'm not restricting it too much. Just keep in mind that sign has more sway over a person's powers than his race. So if you really want to be magic, just pick an Aquarius or Libra, or Pisces, or whatever.
Q: How did you pick all the relics for the signs?
A:
The Mirror of Gemini - A mirror makes a double of you, an exact twin of you, so I thought it was a cool idea XD The Clock of Cancer - I couldn't really think of anything here, but Cancers are crafters, and I thought a clock would be a cool idea, something that could be passed down as a family heirloom without anyone ever knowing its powers The Sands of Scorpio - Scorpions live in deserts. In sand. XD So this is actually gonna be an hourglass 3nodding The Cape of Taurus - Taurus-> Bull-> Bullfighting -> Matador ->Red cape XD The Chain of Libra - Scales have the two dishes, which are held up by chains. XD A common object, and easy to be overlooked >w> The Bow of Sagittarius - They are archers. nuff said The Shield of Leo - Leos are supposed to be strong, valiant, etc etc etc. So I wanted to give them some sort of war-like item. I was thinking sword, but that was a litttttttle too close to harry potter XD so shield it is. The Pipes of Capricorn - Capricorn, the sea goat, was originally modelled after Pan- the half man/half goat. Who played the pan pipes. and i really wanted one of them to be an instrument. so there you are. XD The Veil of Virgo - Virgos are the virgins of the zodiac. In weddings, a veil is the symbol of a bride's virginity. Soo. I thought it was cool XD and i liked the thought of one of them being a clothing item. even though i already have a cape. but meh. The Crystal of Pisces- this onnne is interesting. Pisces are fish, and in this RP, the psychics. so this is kinda a fish bowl/crystal ball combo. XD it's a crystal ball with water in it o.o The Vase of Aquarius- Pretty self explanatory. Aquarius is the water carrier/pitcher, so this is another direct one. The Crown of Aries - Aries are associated with royalty. Also, they are a ram XD so i thought of Jason and the golden fleece, which i think was the original myth about Aries. So I changed the fleece to a crown
Q: What kind of technology do they have on Steria?
A: Well, it is a fantasy style roleplay, so I don't want anything hugely futuristic. Think: Harry Potter technology in the big cities, Lord of the Rings in the forest/country. They do have guns, and clocks, so they're mostly steampunkish era as far as advanced technology. To travel they use their feet, horses, and boats. There are no airplanes or cars. I'm not too picky. Just nothing too futuristic.
Q: Is there a limit to how many characters I can have?
A: No, but I'd prefer if everyone limited themselves to 2-3. This is mostly because there are a limited number of spots. So I don't want one person with 5 characters while someone else can't get in. Also, just keep in mind that you have to be responsible for as many applications as you send in.
Q: Wtf is an Ice?
A: If you'll excuse my incredibly gay name I decided on, Ice is the main currency in Steria. It's diamonds, made into coins. Don't ask me how that works. They're about as big as quarters, worth about 5 USD. They do have smaller units, but I didn't bother thinking of them. If we run into that problem, I'll just make something up. XD
Q: How does everyone know everyone's Signs just by looking at them?
A: They just do. There's nothing physically marking about them, though some choose to display their Signs on their clothing. But usually, people can just know. Go with it. XD

Vesper D’Spoc gathered the freshly printed flyers into a tidy stack. Her heart fluttered nervously in her ribcage. This is what she’d been waiting for. All the past months of studying, staying up until daylight, pouring her heart out in the form of black ink on every journal page- it all culminated in this little, 500-sheet stack of parchment.
Which was sure to be a massive failure anyway.
No one believed in the Relics anymore. Even children back in the library at Mordale, who happened to glance at the books she was intently perusing, snickered at her with their friends.
It was like studying up on fairy spells, or the magical properties of dragon dung. Well, not really. Those topics were actually quite common study material on Steria. But here on Earth, as we all know, such topics are complete nonsense.
Which is why Vesper wasn’t expecting an overwhelmingly positive response.
But, no matter. She tucked the flyers under her lavender-sleeved left arm. Grabbing her burgundy satchel full of on-the-go potions and ingredients with the right, she slung it over her shoulder and strode out of the printing shop.
It took a moment for her amethyst eyes to adjust to the brightness of downtown Mirr at noontime. There is no other word to describe the city but bright. Not only was the sun glittering in the clear sky like a freshly coined piece of Ice, but the street itself was also blinding.
Thousands of People of all Signs and races stood under brightly colored tents, peddling their wares. Gleaming swords, glinting shields, shining potion bottles, armor, jewels, luxury silks, glassware, toys, books, charms- anything Vesper had ever dreamed of- it was all there, hanging from under tents or being artfully displayed on the back of a travelling caravan.
The air was filled with sound. Shouts of customers bargaining with merchants, clinks of Ice being exchanged, footsteps and wheels clattering busily over the cobblestone streets, and music from street bands filled Vesper’s ears. Smells from world-renowned Cancer restaurants wafted through the entire scene: crab soup, fresh fruit, barbecued basilisk, spicy stir-fry, and vanilla cakes were just a few of the smells floating from the buildings, along with many others she could not identify. One of the two DragonBurger joints in Steria was only three blocks away (the other in Valdesta Pointe), but that place was only for high-rollers who had nothing better to do with their money. At 20 Ice a burger, Vesper highly doubted the taste of dragon was worth it.
It was all very disorienting. So disorienting, in fact, that the young Scorpio girl accidentally bumped into a passing Aries centaur. He spun around.
“Watch it,” he growled. He was at least twice her height, and three times her width. Vesper had never seen one so big.
“S…Sorry,” she felt her cheeks turning bright red. Gah. …..Wait! This was exactly the type of adventurer she needed to help her! Big…scary…perfect! “Wait!” She fumbled for a moment, pulling one of her flyers out of the stack and timidly holding it up to the giant, who, to her surprise, began reading. “I was wondering if you would be interested in joi-”
“HA!” The centaur cut her off, booming so loud Vesper swore she could feel the ground shaking below her. “The RELICS? Free potion? Why don’t you go make yourself an anti-lunacy potion, little girl?” He was still laughing as he trotted off into the crowd.
Well, that was expected.
At least he didn’t take my flyer and rip it or something. No use feeling deterred.
She took a deep breath, waiting until her cheeks faded from strawberry to peach before approaching another person.
This one was a scantily clad Libra female, who was standing next to a jewel shop, with more knives strapped to her than Vesper could count. Her outfit appeared to be made of a shiny black material, and looked like a spider web had been stretched across her body. She was also wearing a long black cloak with the hood up, slightly obscuring her mocha-colored face and long dark hair.
“Ex…Excuse me ma’am, but I was wondering if you’d help me…” The woman turned to face her. She was a good three inches taller than Vesper.
“Yes?” She spoke through heavily painted ruby lips. Vesper handed her the flyer that the centaur had laughed at. The Libra’s dark eyes travelled down the paper. She let out a throaty chuckle. “Anything I desire, huh?” Vesper nodded, her brown ponytail bouncing. The woman put a hand on her shoulder, crimson painted nails digging into Vesper’s robe, pulling the Scorpio uncomfortably close to her. She smelled heavily of roses. “Listen, honey. I’m gonna give you some advice. All the Ice in Steria won’t make anyone come to this silly meeting. You’re wasting your time. Go back to Ajian. Find yourself a nice, strapping Aries husband. Settle down. Have some kids. This kind of life is not for you.” She relinquished her claw-like hold on Vesper’s shoulder. “Look,” she began, a note of sympathy in her voice, turning to the girl again “I’ll even give you a lovespell. Free of charge.”
“No…No thanks…I’ll just be on my way…”
“Oh, I insist.” The Libra winked, retrieving a pink scroll from within her cape and thrusting it into the Scorpio’s hand.
“Oh…um…thank you…That's very...generous of you...” Vesper blushed even harder than the first time, then walked away. Quickly.
After shoving the embarrassing scroll into her bag, she took a moment to collect her thoughts.
Well, at least she was nicer than the last guy. I’m just asking the wrong people. Better to keep things optimistic.
Next she tried a large, bearded, intimidating Gemini selling swords.
“Silly girl,” was his only response, dismissing her and her flyer with an uncaring wave of his ring-encrusted hand.
Then, she approached a Capricorn girl who was taking requests from a small crowd, shifting into different animals for their amusement (and coins). Even though the girl was a few years younger than Vesper, she simply laughed at her.
Vesper then tried an older Virgo man, completely clothed in long white robes with a parrot perched on his shoulder. Maybe he would help. He looked friendly.
“No, thank you,” he replied politely, flashing her a patronizing smile before going on his way.
This was getting her nowhere.
Maybe she should have taken an advertising class back in Mordale.
An image of her little sister Adriana, laying in bed, pale faced, eyes sunken, coughing pitifully, flashed through her mind. It was how she had looked when Vesper left her.
She couldn’t give up now.
She stuck a few flyers to the sides of buildings, and a few nearby lampposts before returning to the crowd.

Biq was not the kind of guy who believed in “fate” or “destiny”. He did, however, believe in a great many other things. True love, love at first sight, aliens, horoscopes, conspiracy theories, and yes, even the Relics. His disbelief in fate was about to be shattered though. His adventure began the very moment he spotted the weird Scorpio girl through the eye of his spyglass.
He was lounging on the rooftop of Hotel Gilly, kicking back in a reclining chair he had brought up from his room on the top floor. The spyglass was bronze, and had been a gift from his mother when she had learned he was going out to sea. Since then, Biq had used it for either: A. Spying on his neighbors, or B. Scoping out a city for hot chicks. Which is what he was doing now.
He wasn’t creepy or anything. Just curious. At least, that’s what he kept telling himsel-
HELLO. Hot dayummm who was this?
He flicked the spyglass’s knobs to zoom in on the cloaked Libra woman. She was talking to a short Scorpio girl, who handed her a piece of parchment. Biq watched the entire scene, his eyes completely glued to the voluptuous woman. The two talked for a bit, then the smaller girl left. The Libra turned back around, obscuring her goddess-like body with her cloak.
Laaaaame.
Biq decided to stalk the other girl for a while. She wasn’t really his type though. Her body wasn’t much to look at. Well, not from what he could tell. She was dressed in long purple robes that pretty much covered anything interesting. She had a cute face though.
And then he noticed her flyers.
The zoom was so good on his spyglass, he could read the thing. Brave adventurers to help on a quest to find the lost Relics. He nearly jumped off the roof that instant. His brain kicked in just in time to save him though, and he ended up just running out of the Hotel like a maniac, plowing through the crowd to get to her.
“OI!” He called loudly, blonde hair glinting in the sunlight. “YOU!” He caught up to her, grabbing her shoulder.
She spun around, looking scared.
“Y…Yes?”
“WHAT’S THAT YOU HAVE IN YOUR HAND!”
“Oh…um…would you be interested in helping me find the Relics?” The girl handed him one of the flyers. He didn’t even look at it. He almost felt like kissing her.
“OF COURSE I WOULD!” She looked even more scared. People were starting to look. He decided to lower his voice a few hundred decibels. “Do you have anyone else coming yet???”
“N…No. Everyone I’ve asked has laughed so far. They all think I’m crazy.” The girl giggled a little. “I’m Vesper, by the way.”
“Everyone you’ve asked? Well, that’s because you’re doing it wrong.” Without really thinking, Biq seized the stack of flyers from the girl’s- Vesper’s- arms. This was exactly what he’d been looking for when he came to Mirr. A way to find the Relics, so he could resurrect his father. “Mind if I help? The name’s Biq.”
The girl looked at him with wide purple eyes. “N…No, of course! Thanks, Biq!” She beamed while turning a bright shade of crimson.
But he was already gone.
“SEE YOU AT SIX, CUTIE!”
He bounded up onto the roof of a low-sitting pottery shop, using the windows at footholds. All those months on a ship had done him some good.
“HEY!” He yelled at the crowd below him, white sleeves billowing in the breeze. People looked up. “COME FIND THE RELICS! MEETING TONIGHT AT SIX! CLUB VANYAH! BLUE ROOM! GET YOUR ONE WISH GRANTED! AND ONE MILLION ICE TO EVERYONE WHO HELPS!” He threw about 20 of the flyers down into the crowd, ignoring the skeptical looks he got.
Jumping down from the shop’s roof, Biq ran through the street, throwing flyers everywhere and shoving some of them into people’s hands randomly. He made his way through most of downtown Mirr, passing street after street, tossing flyers in the air until he was out.
--------------------
That evening at 5:30, he arrived at Club Vanyah. It was the first time he’d ever been early to anything. It was not a lavish place, and was one of the tamer clubs in Mirr, with low pastel lighting, soft music from a live band, and a bar serving only a few alcoholic drinks. He asked one of the bartenders, a cute redheaded Aries in a low cut dress, where the Blue Room was, and she pointed down a hallway past the where the band was playing.
It was a dark hallway, lined with doorways covered with curtains of every color of the rainbow- red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink- even white and black. Biq went to the blue curtain and pulled it back. It was pretty self explanatory.
Inside was the girl he had seen earlier. She had set up one of the tables in the room with a soft pink cloth over it, and covered every inch of it with little glass bottles filled with liquid- potions. They all had labels. “Love Potion” was a magenta color. “Teeth Whitener” was opaque and white. “Hour Invisibility” was clear. “Hour Strength” was a robust red color. “Extra Luck” was silver, “Hair Thickener” was gold, “Wart Remover” was orange, “Morph Potion” was toxic green, and “Hour Defense” was royal blue. The most common sort of potion, though, was the numerous light green bottles labeled “Heal”. The second most common were the deep purple ones labeled “Poison”. There were also many others that Biq couldn’t read, and plenty more sitting in the girl’s bag.
The rest of the room was filled with comfortable looking, plush, blue chairs. Enough for about thirty or forty people. There was also a mini bar, where it looked like Vesper had concocted a few ready-made drinks. Huh. He didn’t know they taught you that in Potion School. The lighting was a comfortable, soft blue. Vesper looked nervous. Biq felt his heart beat faster. Maybe this girl was the key to making all his dreams come true. He had thought that about a lot of girls, but never quite so literally.
“Hi!” He said to her, since she had remained silent since he had entered.
“Hello…Um…Biq? Thank you for helping me so much. Though I’ll be surprised if anyone actually shows up.”
“Eh, they will. Don’t worry about it. Just sit back, relax, and wait.” He gave her a reassuring nod, and then left the room, standing just outside the curtained door to welcome anyone who entered. OOC: AND WITH THAT, ZODIAC IS OFFICIALLY OPEN!

Brett Coggins pulled the brim of his cap down further and checked his gloves once more. The club was sparsely populated, but he knew from experience it only took one person to start an uproar. Only one. The mud-eyed boy moved carefully through the club, avoiding the gazes of Libras and Sagittarius who were there for a good time. He didn’t want to bother them, and he especially didn’t want them to bother him. He was only here for the one who had been putting out the flyers. The one he had received, which was scarred with sets of miniscule teeth and claw marks, was rolled tightly in his hand. The Blue Room… he showed it to one of the barmaids and she pointed the way for him. He walked away quickly before she could try to strike up a conversation.
Brett wasn’t sure why he had come. He didn’t need the potion, or money, really, though he could find a way to use it once he had it. After all, the lady down the street had just lost her husband, and she had three children to support, not to mention her neighbor was expecting another child and would need money for its clothes… yes, he had no need for the money, but that didn’t mean others didn’t.
But that still wasn’t why he had emerged from his lair, for the first time in almost two years, no, not at all. He had come because of the curious last line on the poster. … anything you desire… Brett wasn’t stupid. He knew this person, or these legendary relics, couldn’t replace his hands. They just couldn’t. But, at least, maybe they could give him some materials so he could continue working on his prosthetic eye.
But he still, secretly, wanted to believe.
Who wouldn’t want to believe, he reasoned, that you really could wish back your hands and eye after losing them? These things had unlimited power, supposedly. That kind of power could help mankind. Brett really wanted to believe in the Relics. But he would never admit this out loud. It was too close to complaining, and Brett didn’t like to complain. He found the Blue Room and quickly glanced about. A brown haired girl wearing a pastel garment caught his eye. Everything about her seemed pretty average, but there was an air of… was it desperation? He silently reviewed all the intel his creations had gathered. The person who had posted the flyers was a young man, not a girl…
A slight whir and a chirp buzzed near his ear. A small, mechanical dragon was clinging to his shoulder, its glass-green eyes looking back and forth nervously. It wasn’t supposed to have crawled out of Brett’s pack, but it disliked being cramped up. Almost as much as it disliked leaving its master unguarded. The small creature, whose name was Mirab, glanced sharply around the room, its clockwork whirring. Mirab was one of Brett’s finest creations, but her long exposure to Brett’s subtle gift had made her almost living. The toy dragon looked at the girl and chirped in affirmation; this human had been holding the flyers. Then the human male had taken them.
A second noise, almost a purr, came from Brett’s other shoulder. A toy naga was coiled around his neck like a necklace, and it had stuck its head out to see if the girl was indeed the one in question. It’s small, silver tongue darted in and out before it raised its head to its master’s ear. The girl was not all human. She was part wizard. And a Scorpia. The naga, who was named Troi, then settled down on Brett’s neck and continued to pretend to be an inanimate object. Brett shrugged his shoulder gently until Mirab also clambered back down into his bag, where she was supposed to have stayed. Brett checked to make sure no one could see them, but no one appeared to be looking. He had left most of his pets at home, but he could not bear to leave Mirab and Troi behind. Perhaps the girl would be so enchanted by his magical toys, she wouldn’t ask why he was wearing a broad-brimmed hat, a scarf, and heavy work gloves in a dark, warm club. But there was someone else: a tall, tanned boy who Brett recognized from his creature’s descriptions. Brett had not seen him standing out side the doorway before, since his visual range was so messed up, but there was no mistaking him. Troi stirred to examine the boy, but Brett shushed him. The man’s tan and physique were no doubt a sailor’s, which meant he was likely an Aquarius. Brett felt a thrill of fear; if the Aquarius wanted to, he could have easily beat Brett to a pulp. Brett looked around anxiously, but he was the first.
Or maybe the only.
Well, there was only one thing to do; he'd come this far and he wouldn't back out now. Taking a deep breath and trying to smile, Brett walked up to the table and stuck out the hand holding the flyer. “You gave these out, right? I want to join your quest.”

╠ Locked away in the past ╣ Beauty, elegance, and secret—all words that describe the mysterious being walking down the street, not stepping to the side for anyone. Masked by a pure colored hood, baby pink lips curled into a small smirk, shadow enveloping the rest of the man’s features. Robed in the same white, a few blue jewels hanging from the fabric, the male stopped before a particular face. A girl. Poor thing, she seemed rather flustered. However, before he had the pleasure of seeing what it is she was handing out the centaur she had been conversing with had gone and she had vanished. A rather sad and puzzling thing, he had really wanted to see what it was she was holding. Granted, that same smirk lingered there further, he could just…find her.
However, that would not prove easy for the young man. Thus, was time for him to at least take a look around at the place. Not necessarily at the tents and the items that were being sold, but at the layout, the essence of Mirr. No, Riuichi Tamagowa was in no need of things to buy. He was simply here to travel. The world was a masterpiece filled with beauty and elegance, and he wanted to see it all—gain inspiration for his music, and hopefully find a reason to live…a reason to hold on.
Suicidal? Not quite. Sure there was a depression in him far more bearing than most, but not at all like one of death. For Riu, there was just no reason to try and live—to fight. Yet, here he was…wasting the time he had. Searching for what; he didn’t know. But nevertheless he was here in Mirr…another town to draw beauty from. Though, he hardly gathered much other than noise and greedy merchants.
A long silver staff was held in a pure gloved hand, suggesting of his wizard race. A pure blood indeed, though his main magic didn’t heir from the name he went by. Oh, no, Riuichi Tamagowa was not his real name, not according to his bloodline anyway. His true name was one hidden and kept in secret to those only in the family. Ode Theodoric was who this individual really was. But don’t be fooled. The name this wizard goes by is indeed his name, only his middle and mother’s maiden name. How nice to know you have your own little secret. Riu thought so. In fact he almost thrived on secrets and mystery.
Ha…a mystery. The wizard had found another mystery. Or rather…an annoyance. Some strange man was on a roof and screaming about something. Tossing flyers everywhere. Riu almost would’ve disregarded the man until he realized what it was he was saying. The relics. A single flyer floated just above the gentleman’s head, his free hand stretching just before it. And for a moment time froze on that particular parchment, just long enough for aqua irises to scan the flyer. Just as soon as time had stopped for that paper, it began again, falling weightlessly into the magician’s fingers.
“Well now…this should be fun.”
Silhouetted in white, Riuichi progressed to the club ever so swift-fully, this time minding passerby’s and stepping to the side. This would be a very fun adventure no? And perhaps he had found a way to spend his time. Maybe he could be of some use. And just maybe he would find a reason to stay alive.
Dark. The club was far darker than his appearance. Upon entering, he hesitated to remove the hood, and thinking twice, he thought it better to keep it on until reaching the blue room. Calmly the male approached, standing at a height of six feet and three inches. His slim figure slipped past the doorway and his concealed hands removed the hood. Dusty brown, almost blonde, tresses revealed themselves and piercing aquamarine eyes penetrated over to the lovely lady sitting with the potions. A smile crossed his pale features and slowly he made his way to the woman, disregarding the other males.
Riuichi bowed to the woman, humbly and presented a white rose from nowhere…or rather it appeared to be nowhere. “For you, my dear,” he spoke, words of a gentleman—calm, sweet and endearing. The smile he wore was simple, but charming, though it was far more real than any cheap trick to get a lady to bed. Oh, no—it was one of true kind nature. Respectable.
╠ Do you have the key? ╣
