Aludra was busy. To be more specific, Aludra was busy going around town and pulling down or picking up the seeming millions of fliers that his elder sister had distributed all about town advertising him as a babysitting service. In his arms, he already had a hefty pile, and so dropped the lot of it in a trash can and veered into the nearest cafe to shiver off the cold in somewhere that, well, wasn't cold. He looked around himself the entire time, taking in the insides of the place, before ordering a small hot chocolate.
In the time before it was made, he walked to the front of the store, before frowning at the poster in front of him that read:7o7 Sitting Service!
Perhaps you have a child who's a little... different. Maybe Seven of Seven different? Well, then do we have a sitter suited perfectly for- "Small hot chocolate!" rang the voice of the barista, pulling Aludra's attention away from the ridiculously cheesy flier that was sitting and taunting him, the red in his eyes receding once again as he went to retrieve the chocolaty drink. The fact that it was adorned with a completely candid picture of himself that read 'call or just talk to me sometime!' underneath it -something that he also hated, given it had gotten him more attention in one afternoon than he usually got in a month, only made it worse.

Duncan was heading from home, yawning a bit as went as he'd taken on an extra shift to get some more hours and more money to help to better care for his growing family. He paused at the front of the coffee shop, debating on if he wanted to go in and get himself a cup. It would keep him awake for the rest of his walk home. He came to a stop in back of the much smaller spawn in front of him so he could read over the sign that was plastered on the window. He blinked a couple of times, looking a little confused. Was that here earlier...? When was the last time he came here, yesterday he thought. Babysitting... they couldn't exactly keep relying on Pepper he thought to himself, he had other things to do other then watching Iah.
"Hrm..." The sound rumbled in his throat, sounding almost like a growl as he read it over, "Could work." He murmured to himself, would give him and Adriel time to nap and the idea of them being able to care for someone who was Seven of Seven different was a bonus.

Aludra's fingers were outstretched toward the flier by the time he noticed any form of presence, and it wasn't until the other actually spoke that he realized that, yes, someone was behind him. Tail stiffening a bit and anklewings flaring out -one painfully-, he turned full-circle to blink up at the wrath spawn, chocolate held in one hand still. A slight pause came over him, before his eyes were forced to raise until he was looking almost straight up at the elder male, staring for a moment at his colouration and trying to relate it to someone, though Pepper was the only one to come to mind.
"Um... in the case that your statement is relevant to the flier, d... do you mean my babysitting service?" he asked hesitantly. Who knew, maybe the man was talking about... the flier itself? Or something completely and totally unrelated to him, maybe? Who really knew, after all?

Two of Duncan's eyes dropped to look at Aludra and it took his sleepy mind a moment to realize that the one that the poster belonged to was the kid in front of him, "Hmm... you seem a little young to be babysitting." He murmured, not as though he could say much since he had allowed Pepper to look after Iah before.
He seemed to be thinking it over for a moment before shrugging, "Do you babysit spawn often?" He finally asked, not sure what he thought about putting this one in charge of Iah, he was a bit on the small side wasn't he? Would he even be able to deal with Iah and his tentacles? It was a curious thought...

Aludra couldn't help the slight indignant pout at being told he was too young to be babysitting, unable to keep from crossing his arms in an unintentionally defensive manner, not to mention the motion adding to the general 'mature' stereotype. "I'm not that young. There are kids younger than teenagers advertising babysitting services all the time," he stated, before realizing that left things rather open-ended as far as his own age range was concerned. "That is to say, I am a teenager. Mind not the diminutive stature."
At the question, he had to think over who he watched, which weren't really a lot of kids. He'd only ever really watch Adelle and Fitzroy, the latter more than anything. "Often, yes. Many, not quite. Mostly I care for a gluttony / liberality boy on the weekends," he replied, tail flicking back and forth, not sure how he felt about taking care of a strange child, as that was one of his main apprehensions with babysitting. What if he did it wrong?

Duncan gave another thoughtful sound, looking back at the post for a moment and seemed to be thinking on it, "My boy, Iah... he is very special and can be a little difficult to deal with, not him exactly... you would have to meet him to understand but... I could really use a nap, so could his Mother." He murmured, seeming to be thinking on it even harder, "What do you charge?" He asked, he didn't have to much cash to shell out so the price would be quite important.

Aludra nodded with the information he was given, wondering briefly if, since the other was a spawn, the child may actually have been his biological child. After all, Adhara had had a child, so that proved that it wasn't completely impossible, didn't it? He was about to ask what kind of special the male meant, but it was soon after that that 'you would have to meet him to understand' reached the air, and he nodded instead of asking for anymore information. Adelle was probably like that, though Adhara preferred describing the little girl as a 'blender', at least before she calmed a bit following the incident with her fingers.
"I can do difficult," he chose instead of a question; and wasn't that the truth. As far as payment, he didn't really need it, but it helped his pride to get money from things that he earned himself. After all, Noah was freaking loaded. The last thing that he was going to do was overcharge his employers. "My going rate is five to seven dollars per hour. It's negotiable, though." The last thing he was going to do was make him too good for less-fortunate families. No way.

Duncan gave a little wince at the price. It was a lot... mostly given he had three people to take care of on his paycheck and a fourth on the way. He chewed on his lower lip, drawing a couple drops of blood but the wounds healed quickly due to what he was. Wounds meant little to Duncan with his Wrath blood, it was why he was still alive given all of what he'd been through in his life...
"Perhaps an hour or two would be good enough for a nap." He mused to himself, he needed a nap and to be able to curl up with Adriel even for a couple of hours would be nice.

The wince, of course, did not go unnoticed, hands falling away from where they'd previously been crossed and he listened. The rapidly healing of the wounds couldn't help but bring forth envy from the little greed boy, who still had scars on his arms that hadn't fully healed, even with his growth. His little, lonely anklewing also fluttered sadly, wishing also that Aludra would have been able to heal quickly.
"Well, it could be lowered, if that suits you better," he corrected quickly. "I mean... would there be a better price? Three dollars per hour, mayhaps? Two?" he offered, humility shoving its way to the forefront, an ironic idea to say the very least. To keep the greed side from flaunting itself further, he reminded himself that he would probably be able to make up the rest by asking Noah for money to go to a concert or some other things like normal teenagers did. Yeah, that would work...

Duncan shook his head, "No, I am not going to screw you out of your pay, kid." He told him, his own angelic blood showing which it didn't do all to terribly often. He gave a little shrug, "When do you want to set it up for?" He murmured, stifling a yawn. The sooner the better if you asked him but he was going to sound to eager as he felt a bit bad wanting to pawn his kid off on someone just to be able to get himself a nap.
"And where do you want to watch him? His mother is sleeping at home, carrying our second and I will be needing a bit of sleep as well." He told him.

Aludra's tail-tip flicked happily despite his trying to avoid the action, glad underneath the humility facade he'd built over the past few months that he was going to be able to get full compensation. Regardless, as frustrating as it was to the rest of him, he couldn't keep from opening his mouth again. "It still wouldn't be a problem to do an hour or so extra, if you really need it." And there was one of the things he was starting to hate about his humility.
"Whenever you need would be fine," Aludra replied, turning back to the flier and tearing off the little contact tab that had been put on the lot of them, holding it without handing it over, before handing it off. It had address, phone number, and email address. After all, he sincerely doubted that this man wanted his son to be picked up on a motorcycle. The fact that Noah lacked a car left either that or the bus, and neither were... favourable. So he would probably want to drop the boy off. "I watch them at my apartment. The address is there."

"Today if possible." He murmured, giving another wide yawn that showed many sharp teeth before he rolled one shoulder. He reached out to take the tab held out to him then gave a wave to Aludra before he turned and headed on toward home without another word. He was a wrath spawn and as such it left the man a little lacking when it came to being sociable.

"Today then," Aludra replied with a curt nod of the head. He waved back at the tall, intimidating man and looked up at the flier again, this time just thinking about it before giving it a weak smile. Fine, fine, he would give the fliers a chance, if they worked. Sighing, he bundled himself up and left the coffee shop with his chocolate, leaving the flier in the window. So, he would let it go. For now.
A few hours following found him in the house with Fitzroy snacking on chip bags and water bottles -the items themselves- while watching some movie that he'd chosen earlier, Aludra wasn't really paying attention to it. Instead, he was getting out various snacks and going about ordering Chinese food for that night, in amounts that would feed a hoard of vikings. After all, as much as Fitzroy was absolutely in love with pizza, he figured the boy should try some other things in his life. That, and of course, he wanted to feed the other little boy as well.

Duncan had taken the bus from his place to the one that he was going to with Iah. The wrath spawn dozed off on the way, though his yellow eye never closed so it wasn't as though his guard went down even as he slept. His son was sitting somewhat next to him, just out of range of both Duncan and anyone else on the bus as he knew that his tentacles wouldn't be pleased with anyone within range. The ride was long enough that the red skinned spawn was able to get some rest before they were moving again.
He woke up when the bus stopped at the stop that they were getting out at and Duncan got out, heading off the bus with Iah following after him. The boy was moving as quickly as he could because as he walked down the aisle his grouchy tentacles took shots any the other bus riders. Luck would have it that he only landed a few hits before the two of them were off the bus.
"You won't be staying long, just long enough for me to get a nap with your Mom." He told Iah.
The boy have a small, worried nod of his head. He didn't want to stay with some person that he didn't know but it would seem as though he had much of a choice in the deal. He looked at the house they were heading toward and then gave a little sighing sound. This was the last thing he wanted to do... he would rather stay home, he could be good and quiet and let them nap he thought to himself as Duncan led the way, lifting one clawed hand to knock on the door.
