It was a cold day, a little after noon with the sun hidden behind a sheet of gray clouds with no heat to be felt in sight. Tezuka quietly breathed in the chilling air around him, expelling the breath as it turned into a steam cloud and rose to the heavens. He was currently sitting forward on his knees, kneeling, but still planting the ball of his foot against the dirt ground beneath him. His head was bowed, hands held together in a way that some would think he were praying solemnly when he was merely meditating on the task to come: training with kido. It wasn't his strong suit, but as lieutenant of Squad 1 he felt obligated to at least know them in case of an emergency. And with the captain feeling that he didn't need to know them, he wanted to make sure the feeling that Squad 1 was 'too good' to use kido would be wiped away before it even came to the forefront. That was the last thing he needed was for the others squads to think his squad were nothing, but petty elitists.
And so he waited there for Captain Shiboo, contemplating the day's events as he tried to bring his mind into a state of serenity.

Yamoto appeared a few feet away from the squad 1 vice captain. He smiled as he saw the shinigami. "I don't get many request from squad 1." Yamoto walked over the shinigami and sighed. "It is actually a little strange, Sqaud 1 is known for their dueling skills mainly one on one sword combat. Wouldn't kido give you an unfair advantage?" Yamoto was just playing around. He was in a good mood today, so he felt like making jokes. "Well I guess we should get started, tell me what is the first kido you wish to learn?"

Tezuka's gaze rose from the ground, a lop-sided smile greeting his superior as he stood and bowed his head. "Thank you for seeing me regardless, Captain." He took a small breath, biting the inside of his lip as he thought about what he wanted to get out of the way first. There were many things he wanted to learn, but the higher level kidos had to be taught by the captain, giving them a higher priority over ones he could learn later on. "I think bakudo 39 would be the best to start with. Sort of a warm up kido, if you will, before we can start with the others."

Yamoto smiled, as he threw up his right hand. "Very well. The key to this kido is concentrating reiatsu infront of of your body in the form of a cirlce." Yamoto smiled as a wall of reiatsu erupted infront of him. "I have to overdue it so you can see how to form the reiatsu." Yamoto slowly formed the the erupting reiatsu into a lagre circular shape the covered his body from head to toe. "Bakudo 39. Arc Shield" The reiastu condensed into a solid barrier that was visible . "It is very easy to do if you have good reiatsu control."
(Sorry if this isn't that good of a description, but i kinda of tired. I think 2 post should do it)

Tezuka nodded as the captain explained the bakudo to him, slightly off colored eyes watching intently as the captain gathered his reitsu about himself and expanded it into the kido, preforming it quite effortlessly before him. Tezuka pursed his bottom lip in quiet deliberation, but nodded with a small 'hmm' under his breath. The bakudo seemed simple enough, projected outward in one direction and all, but he still found the task a little daunting. His reitsu control was, pretty good at best, but he still felt a slight twinge of uncertainty in himself about preforming the kido for the first time.
He sighed and took a deep breath, wanting to take this slow for the first few tries. Hands raised with palms up to his waist he closed his eyes and let his reitsu wash over his body, feeling it move and shape itself as he continued to focus on it, its form, its density, its strength. His hands slowly began to accumulate tiny particles of blue reitsu as he collected himself further. His lips parted, breath seething forth as he concentrated. Blue eyes suddenly opened as he looked up from his little trace, turning his body a little away from the captain so as not to ensue any damage upon his tutor before extending his hands outward, palms open. "Bakudo #39: Enkosen!" His words exited his mouth in the same fashion his reitsu exited the wrists of his hands and plumed outwards, creating a sheet of blue reitsu that burst milliseconds after forming, sending shards of blue reitsu flying out everywhere.
Tezuka cursed under his breath, not knowing if Captain Shiboo would enjoy his outward display of irritation before clenching his fists, looking at them as if trying to seek what he wished to be answered within their lines and creases. Thoughts surge in his brain. He knew he had to overcome this, whatever it took, he needed to show that he wasn't just some saber-jockey who couldn't, or wouldn't even give the time of day to, do kido. It wasn't something he enjoyed hearing over and over in his head. 'We aren't elitist. No one ever said we were as such, so no one can say we are now.'
He had to keep it up, keep trying, and keep pushing through failure. This wasn't just his battle after all.

Another try was quickly to ensue. He concentrated his reitsu into his body again and then into his hands, feeling it channeling in a slower manner than it had initially in his first try. It was distressing, but he thought maybe it would help to take this at a snail's pace for the time being. What if what he hadn't done correctly was imagine the presence of the bakudo, thinking too much on its concentrated state than in its shape and form. It was definitely something to consider.
With this attempt he took a step backward and spread his feet, digging with his heels as he tried to continue focusing reitsu into his hands. With another last little portion finally making its way there he took another breath and focused on creating the circular shape and height of the shield. "Bakudo #39: Enkosen!" Reitsu surged from his hands and went forth to occupy the space before him. But it didn't even become solid as it dispersed, dissipating harmlessly into the air like a vapor of smoke.
Tezuka sort of stood there, mouth open with hands held out beofe him, a confused expression on his face as he stared at his hands as if they were the culprit. "What the-?" His words seemed to mirror his facial expression, desperately trying to understand how he'd gone backwards instead of creating the shield as he had before. Beginner's luck? He didn't know. Whatever it was he wanted to do it again, even if it killed him. He was here, after all, to do kido training.
Another attempt, resulting in the same result. Him standing there like a fool with nothing to show for his efforts. Again. And again. And again. And again, each time resulting in less than what he'd done the previous time. It was infuriating to say the least. An hour passed, then two, but he still continued to fail in his duties. And that was it for him, now he was pissed.
Sweat-covered and panting heavily he snapped, eyes glaring with rage at an invisible enemy with hands clenching and un-clenching in a slow manner that suggested that no one who interfered with him would escape his inner wrath. It was sickening, almost to a point of vomiting. He took a deep breath and stepped forward, forcing reitsu into his hands and arms. With pulsing aura surrounding him he brought his hands forward and smashed the two spheres of reitsu that had accumulated within them into one big ball before slamming it out from his body, speaking in a shouted tone now as he released the energy upon the grounds. "Bakudo#39: Enkosen!" His voice rattled and growled in a deep tone feeling the air around him rush against his face and body as he suddenly felt himself being resisted. Dust kicked up in the rage-filled expulsion of reitsu, but cleared shortly afterward.
Before him, the golden 2-dimensional orb stood before him, a rippling circle of defensive reitsu that created the kido he was training so diligently to master and there it was, finally. He took a step back and drew in a deep amount of oxygen, exhaling it with shrugged shoulders as he stood back for Captain Shiboo to critique. "There." He huffed with a grin on his face, sweat dripping off his nose.

Yamoto smiled. "Very Good." He was impressed by the shinigami dedication. "Now what do you wish to learn next?"

((It's fine, Sorry if I seemed like I was rushing you. I'll stop with the PMs. ^^;; ))
Tezuka wiped the sweat from his nose and then from his brow, using the sleeve of his kimono the dry his face. He huffed loudly and thought, trying to think of another kido he really wanted to learn while he still had the captain's undivided attention. It wasn't hard to think up of several, but he had to chose one. And, at the moment, he really couldn't care what it was. "Um, something I can blow sh-things up with would be nice, sir." His took a deep breath and calmed himself a little, closing his eyes as he cleared his thoughts. "Hado 58 sounds about right for now though. I need to catch my breath since I forgot to stretch." He laughed aloud now, bringing his right hand up to cradle the back of his head for a second before shifting forward to his chin. With a jerk of his wrist he cracked his neck in two, violent motions, feeling a little bit better as he let out a sigh and waited for instruction.

Yamoto smiled at the vice captain statment about blowing s**t up. "Very well the key this next kido is the idea of reiatsu rotation. Now the best way to perform this spell is the channel your reiatsu into to something that can rotate easily. Yamoto pulled out his zanpakuto and showed it to Tezuka. "This is your best bet in a battle." Yamoto held his zanpakuto infront of him. "First you must focus reiatsu into the sword until it has enough to support itself in midair." Yamoto allowed reiatsu to flow into his blade, so much show that the reiatsu complelty consumed the zanpakuto. Yamoto removed his hand from the blade to demonstrate that the reiatsu in the blade was keeping it levitated. After you do this you simple spin the blade in the direction you want it to go." Yamoto flicked the blade to the right causing it to spin. Each rotation the speed increased until the zapakuto was just a spinning blur. If you use your reiatsu as a boost to keep the blade spinning it works better. "Finally you activate the spell. Hado 58. Orchid Sky." Yamoto stopped the blade by grabbing the hilt. All the reiatsu is released out the zanpakuto in the form of a giant whirlwind that was directed at nowhere. "That should do it."

A chill crept up on Tezuka as he stood to listen. Not moving around and channeling reiatsu throughout his body quickly brought the heat he was exuding to a dull impulse, only enough to make him sweat, but not keep him warm in the climate he chose. It was as much of a double edged sword as it was a god send.
Tezuka nodded in slight astonishment of how the hado actually worked, hands on his hips for a brief moment as he watched Captain Yamato work it effortlessly through his blade. He huffed a little and sniffed the air, pulling his sealed zanpakuto from it sheath in his obi with his left hand, only needing to jerk up slightly to release the knife from its held position. "Simple enough, in theory."
He studied it a little and adjusted his grip, bringing his right hand up and meshing his fingers together on the tuska. Drawing in a deep breath he slowly began to channel his reiatsu into the blade. It was easier than he expected, but already being warmed up made a world of difference. His hands started glow a little, exuding the light blueish color of his reitatsu. It grew darker in shade around his zanpakuto as his continued to feed more and more energy into the object.
A few minutes passed before he closed his eyes and let out a small breath to calm himself, spreading his feet a little so that in case it didn't floated as predicted it wouldn't stab through a foot either. Hands gently began releasing their grip from his blade, a slight fear rising inside himself, but it was most likely anxiety. His fingers met no friction as they let the blade go fully now and he had to open his eyes and star at the blade himself before he could believe he'd accomplished that step. A small huff left his nostrils, right hand coming forward to gently touch the blade's hilt at an angle, sending it tumbling in place in the opposite direction of his touch. He spun it again now, letting his wrist rip into it and as the blade began to spin at higher and higher speeds.

Before long it was a circular blur in front of him, spinning at a velocity only shinigami very intimate with their own signature signature or those of a high standing could perceive and not receive injury if grabbed. Tezuka braced himself a little, flexing practiced fingers in a slow, methodical motion as he stared down the spinning knife. Eventually he would have to stop its rotation, but right now all he could do was focus on thinking how to project the attack. Was it possible to make the hado corkscrew if he put enough of a spin on it after catching the blade? Or could it only go out in a straight line from where it was fired? He shrugged mentally at his thoughts and again tensed up, ready to go in for the grab.
Leaning forward ever so slightly he let his hands dip a little, still flexing his fingers a little bit. Before most could acknowledge that he had done it, Tezuka sprang forward with his left hand and reached in for the blade, careful eyes watching as the hilt came into view in a slowed picture. His fingers encircled the cloth and gripped it tightly as he opened his mouth, spinning himself a little to the side as not to fire the attack straight at the Captain. "Hado#54: Tenran!" His right hand came up alongside the hilt as if pushing an invisible force forward, feeling the wind around him gush and shake his clothing as the cyclone of turbulent energies leaped from his zanpakuto. The sudden 'whoosh' sound and the air that encompassed him felt massive in a sense of surprise rather than actually size, merely ruffling his clothing as the blast spiraled away.
Tezuka stood up a little bit, not realizing he had gone into a crouch of sorts, and held his blade openly in his left hand. He stared after the blast and then down at his zanpakuto, eyes growing a little wider as he let his head jerk back a little. "Damn!" He said in a surprised tone, suddenly turning towards the Captain and bowing his head. "Sir."
