Description:
Handgun issued to all members of the military (excluding Justicars). Works like a modern day pistol. It is a very durable piece of equipment and has not been upgraded in over a century due to this. The weapon uses a chemical propellant system to fire.

Is this a chemical weapon or something closer to a Gauss pistol?
What kind of muzzle velocity does it have?
what is the caliber of the slug?

It is the main armament for the pilots, and if the situation doesn't call for his Exorcism acid cannon the main weapon for the priest too.

I just realized that the stated range is ridiculous. a .45 pistol is usually only good to 40 meters, 75 if you're a crack shot.
Even if this is future, I'd put the max at 100 meters, if that.

Even if this is future, I'd put the max at 100 meters, if that. I say this could be compensated via extending the barrel, possibly also requiring increased muzzle velocity. If the range is to be kept, this is essentially going to be a D.Eagle on steroids.
