Rajanya sat cleaning his fur, it gleamed in the morning sunlight accentuating his brightness. The wind blew through his mane cooling him. The morning was hot, but he enjoyed it none the less. The heat never seemed to bother him.
After he finished cleaning his fur he looked up across the savannah wondering what he would do today. He was a prince and these lands and he always kept himself busy, learning to rule his vast kingdom.
The tiger striped female had ventured out of her lands, they were being over taken by traitors in her oppinnion. Her bright blue eyes scanned the lands. She was in neutral territory, rogue lands...her tail flicked behind her as her stomach rumbled from the morning. She seemed to be always hungry. Briseis moved through the elephant grasses as she caught scent of a herd of zebra and a lion. Perhaps he was hunting too. It was pretty eariler, the girl didn't know many who were up so early. After all most lions hunted at night and lazed away during the day trying to keep cool in the heat. She had yet to see where the other male was located. His scent was getting stronger but the girl didn't notice the glowey male in the distance, what she did notice were the zebras she wanted to make her meal.
Rajanya stood up and began to walk through his vast kingdom. He noted the zebra and gave them a nod. They knew they need not fear him during the day. He never hunted in the daylight. He was far to bright and very easily spotted. He continued on for a few moments simply walking around until he picked up a new scent. The scent was female, which peeked his curiousity and made him wondered who the newcomer was who had come into his lands.
The female ignored the male for now, somewhat of an unwise notion for such a petite female. Her eyes narrowed on the zebra. She saw a female that she could take. She crept, forwards still unnoticing the male. Her ears flicked forward as she was close enough to make the chase. She took off like a rocket, the zebra seemed confused but they were off as well. She reached out with her paw to trip the female and the zebra tumbled to the ground and Briseis was on top of her...the start of her day was going quite well.
Rajanya leaped through the panic zebra with practiced grace. It seemed as though the female had simply been hunting. Once the zebra had cleared he could see her. She was black and white stripped, a sight to see sitting atop a zebra. He decided to keep his distance, one never knew with females. If she had a den nearby with cubs waiting for her, even small as she was, she could be dangerous.
The animal sufficated and she dropped it looking around, the female had no cubs but as ausentation and flirtaceous as she was one would think other wise. She took her first bite and looked up to the the male she had scented earlier watching her. He was interesting with his glowey markings. None the less he was appealing to the eye. She rumbled lowly at him making it clear that he was going to fight her if he was going to try to take it from her. Perhaps a bluff, but she was hungry...though he was much bigger than her she would try and guard her food.
Rajanya laughed lightly at the warning. He had no desire to take her food and backed up a bit to show he meant her no foul play. "I would not take from you what is rightfully yours. You caught it, not I. Please don't mind me. I was simply doing my rounds. Your scent is new to me."
"Rounds?" she inquired. "Well there are less noble lions that tend to be jack asses," she put it bluntly as she ripped square into the carcass. Her maw was covered in crimson as she looked at the male. She was stuffing her face. When you were on your own you had to eat quick. But I guess this other male was here. "Do you want some." she proposed. She didn't want to be rude and she wasn't going to eat everything.
Rajanya was taken aback by the females language, but he answered her anyhow. "Yes, rounds. Making sure everything is right and seeing if anyone might need my services." He came a bit closer and sat before the female and her food. When she offered he some he started to shake his head no, but he stomache growled interrupting the motion. He looked down at his stomache slightly embarassed. "I guess I am a bit hungry", he said laughing lightly, " but if I am to partake in your meal I should introduce myself. I am Prince Rajanya. Who might you be?"
