Kona had woken up early this morning again, she had been waking up earlier and earlier every morning, she wanted to use her time effiecently, she had let let far to much time pass between the end of the pride and finding her charge, the one she had taken care of when she was little. She wondered if Hetal would even remember her.
She moved confidently through the desert in the search for her lost love one. She was looking everywhere and it had been so long since she had seen this cheetah she wasn't sure she even knew where to look anymore. Kona froze when the scent of a preditor animal filled her nose, she looked around trying to find a place to find cover.
Rajanya had no idea how he managed to wander so far. It seemed like the grasses dispersed the further he walked and now he was fully in the desert. Lucky for him he had such light and bright colors or he would be miserable now. He stepped atop the dune he'd just climbed and looked back at the landscape. He could see the desert wane into the savannah behind him and mountains rising in the distance. He found it funny how a landscape could change so drastically in what seemed to be a very small space. He laughed lightly and continued on, intent on exploring the desert today.

Kona had managed to spot the lion now, his purples and blues stood out a great deal against the sandy color of the desert, she was drawn to him, having spent a great deal of her life in the presence of larger animals, but she also knew enough to know that not all of the larger animals in the desert would be kind to a small cat like her self.
She managed to poke around the endges of rocks and dunes and get closer to the lion, sure he would probably pick up her sent soon, but she wanted to get a closer look, she wanted to know if perhaps he was a lion who had been in the pride, maybe he would know where to find Hetal.
Rajanya walked on through the desert and it was a few moments before he picked up the scent of another. He looked around wondering where the new comer could be, but saw nothing. His shoulder hunched and his gate was poised for an attack in case the newcomer decided he should be attacked. Most he came across where simply in awe by his coat, he'd never been attacked before, but he knew it was a possibility.

Kona watched the lion sink into a postion that would mean attack but by now she had managed to see that his coat gleamed he was clean, no fighting scars nothing that would signify that he was the type of animal to pick fight with other ones, given she was an animal of prey. She had a good feeling from him though, she moved closer out of the shadows, out of hiding.
"Hello" she said delicately. "I mean no harm." she told him. She was confident that once he saw what she was, and her size that he would no longer feel a threat. Kona rarely had to tell others she meant no harm it was more often that she had to wait for others to tell her that they meant her no harm, it made finding Hetal difficult she wasn't always sure what large cats she could approach.
Rajanya turned at the small greeting, relaxing at the words the came from the other. He relaxed further when he noticed the other was a serval and hardly a threat to him. "Hello," he greeted her. "I am glad that you mean me no harm. I do not like to fight. Well actually I never have. I am Prince Rajanya. I live in the lands beyond the desert. Who are you?"

"I am Konata, or Kona for short actually. You are from beyond these lands?" Kona asked, the small servals hopes perked up.... if the lion had traveled a great deal then perhaps he had seen the cheetah that she was searching for.
She wasted no time in trying to find the answeres that she was searching for, "I hate to bother you but I have to ask if you have ever seen someone." she smiled at him excited that perhaps she may finally have a lead as to where her cheetah was. She hopped that the lion wouldn't mind terribly, "I have been searching for a long time, for a cheetah, she is white and has purple and blue markings." She knew that her description was lacking but she hadn't seen the cheetah since she was a cub.
Rajanya looked at the serval and smiled, "You name is very nice. Little princess." He moved to sit and front of her perking up slightly when she had something to ask of him. However, he frowned at her question and shook his head. "I have never seen such a cheetah. I am sorry Kona, but if you I can help you look if you'd like little princess."

Help help would be awesome! Kona had spent such a huge amaoung of time searching for Hetal that she was begining to wonder if she was really still out there somewhere. "I would love your help Prince." Kona told him picking up his habit of calling others with a title. "I have been looking for so long and now I don't even know where I have looked or where I should look next." The small serval let he body slump over showing all her frustration. It was getting to the point that her eyes were beginning to well up with tears.
Rajanya lifted his paw and gave the serval a small pat. "Little princess, I will help you as best I can. Do not cry." He stood and turned back toward the lands he considered to be his. "I think first we should travel toward a more populated area, which the deserts are not. There is a chance that even though I have not seen her, someone else might have. We will have to ask around. If you follow me, I will take you."

Kona got to her feet and got ready to follow the lion, it might be easier for her to find others to ask and talk to if she had someone to help her, particularly if was a lion that was going to help her, it was well known that lions held great status to the other animals. "OK that sounds good." she told him, managing to bring her emotions back in.
"Which way do we go." after geting bent out of shape, and having so much time looking the serval didn't even know where she had looked and where she should go. She sighed getting frustrated with her self.
Rajanya headed back up the dune he come over motioning for Kona to follow. He pointed where the desert began to wane and the distance and the rising mountians even futher off. "We have to walk until we are back in the savannah, it will become more populated the closer we come to the mountains. Hopefully someone will have seen her and you may be reunited soon." He moved to walk to the dune and head back toward his home knowing the little princess would follow.
