Staring into a twisted nether of burnt oranges and golden colored flames, an orange and golden lioness that almost resembled the very flames themselves, sat in silence, her two toned eyes wide with a mix of emotions. Excitement, curiosity, longing, passion, relaxation... all these things fluttered over her visage as her bush tail flicked softly, her wings folded and nestled neatly against her back. A slight smile crept over her jaws as she listened to the crackling. How it sent shivers down her spine and yet at the same time seemed to coax her into a deeper state of relaxation. If she could, she would stare at the flames all day, of course if it wasn't for the fact that her stomach now rudely declared its presence and demanded of her.

Dark paws press to the grassy ground soundlessly, sleek body moving through the shadows. Yellow eyes lock onto a lone antelope as it grazes, her muscles tensing as a purr leaves her. As her claws knead into the dirt she waits, watching the antelope carefully. Moments before it's head raises to listen for her she leaps for it, claws and fangs barred ready to kill. Her weight alone causes it to fall to the ground as her claws grip it's sides, her fangs clamping around it's neck, holding it there. The struggle ends eventually, and she lets go.
"Finally..." With a soft sigh she pulls off of the fallen antelope, sitting down for a minute or two to catch her breath.

Having been awoken from her daze from nothing other than her hunger, her two toned eyes went wide as she glanced around. Absent minded she began following her nose towards the luscious scent of meat and blood.
Finally reaching the delectable scent, her eyes blink wide. "Woooaahhhhman does that look good." she said with a drool hardly even realizing there was another lioness who already laid claim to the prize.

Ears perch atop her head as she scans the area, catching the sound of a lioness nearby. It took no time to spot her, she stook out as badly as Felina herself did. Red and orange swirls, duo-colored eyes. She looked hungry...
With a soft smile she stood and padded over, her wings folding to her back. "Feel free to share it with me. It is too much for one lioness to eat." She then padded to the kill and slit a few spots open.

Flare blinked, a large grin spread across her maw as she jumped in place like a kit. "Really? You mean it?! Oh man, your a life saver I feel so hungry, my stomach would probably scare anything away that I tried to hunt!" she said with a soft laugh as she bounded over and took a wiff before sinking her fangs in and ripping off a piece of flesh, swallowing it madly. "Ooh thank you!" she grinned, wrapping her tail about her paws. She had nearly forgotten her manners. "Oh, my names Flare by the way! Whats yours?" she said, eying the lioness. Her markings caught Flare's eyes and for a moment she stared.

Felina chuckled as she watched the flame colored lioness for a moment, until she forced herself to focus on hunger. She leaned closer, digging her teeth into the side, taking a piece for herself happily as she purred. "Nice to meet you Flare. I am Felina." Her eyes caught the other's as she began staring at her markings, a blush forming slightly. "Yes..?"

Flare blushed herself as she blinked her eyes and shook her head. "Oh nothing. Just... was looking at your markings. They are pretty!" she grinned and took another bite out of the flesh, swallowing it happily. "Mmmm, I don't think I can thank you enough Felina! Pretty name too!" she grinned, adjusting her wings as she licked a paw and swiped it over her face.

It was Felina's turn to blush hearing the compliment. The rosy red stuck out badly on her cheeks and she lowered her head trying to make it go away quickly. "Th..thank you Flare. I rather like your markings as well. And your eyes...two different colors." Looks up again, then takes a bite of meat with a smile.

Blinking slightly, Flare tilted her head before remembering. "Oh yeah! I kinda find them fascinating.... if thats not too boastful to say." smiles sweetly. "To be honest, I've never met many others, so I'm the only one I've seen with two colored eyes.....", glances down at her paws, a tad ashamed as if its a bad thing, thinking she may be a freak or some sort of oddity.

"It is a rare gift you have there Flare..." She looked closer for a moment before realizing how the other lioness was acting. She had felt the same about her odd colored markings, but apparently they looked fine. Smiling warmly she lifted the other's chin until she was looking at her again. "Now now, those different colored eyes of yours are beautiful...Sometimes I do not like my fur color, or my eye color...but they are nice." Backs up and sits back down with a smile.

Flare blushed, though you wouldn't be able to tell because of her fur color. Smiling, she glanced at Felina. "Thank you.... Somehow, I had always hoped I was special!" she giggled in a cub like way, pawing at the dirt. "And your markings are pretty, really. Never have I seen a lioness like yourself." she said, feeling like she was now painfully repeating herself and boring Felina.
Leaping to her paws, her belly now full and satisfied, she glanced around. "Do you live near by?" she wondered curiously, not spotting anything that looked like a home, but the place was beautiful and she felt as if she could grow to like it here.

A deep blush colored Felina's cheeks when she heard Flare's compliment to her. Without much thought she nuzzled the flame lionesses cheek, looking at her multi-colored eyes for a long moment. "Thank you...Flare.." Pulling away she shook her head as she smiled sheepishly. "I have no home exactly. I'm always traveling because I don't find any ties to others. And besides...this Isle is huge...I want to explore it all someday..." She sat down, thinking for a moment. "I could stay around here for a while...the hunting is excellant and...well...your here..."

Flare giggled as Felina nuzzled her and she blushed back. "Well, I wouldn't mind exploring either! Though... I don't mean to sound like I'm inviting myself...." she said, looking embarrassed at her paws before glancing up hesitantly. She had never felt this way about anyone before, let alone a female, but then again somewhere in the very back of her mind she knew she had preferred girls to boys from the very beginning.

"Would you? I...I mean I'd really enjoy your company..." She silently scolded herself for sounding so eager, but she liked this lioness, and nobody had ever made her feel so happy. Though she blushed, she also smiled excitedly. "We could go anywhere on this Isle...Imagine it! Mountains...the Ocean...Deserts...so many places..."
