The overcast sky gave way to a bit of darkness above, breaks in the solid grey cieling letting pale blue sky of evening show through.

And, to add to the calming effects of late day, a comet was blazing by above, seen through the patchwork of the cloudy blanket. But, if one watched, the comet was getting larger. Much larger. Comet became meteorite- an incoming meteorite.

The blazing white light grew closer in a matter of seconds. Larger, larger and blindingly brilliant. In brief moments, it slammed into the dusty, desert-like ground, though at least this area was skirted with groves of trees and bits of small shubbery and grasses along the ground. The impact sent dirt and rocks flying, returning to the ground in a shower.

Edge stayed there for now, curled tightly in a black ball- Wings had long-since refolded, but spikes and blade-like structures stood out all over his form, showing that this meteorite wasn't exactly something from beyond the atmosphere. Within Edge, Kai stirred, restrained and held safe by the draconic organoid's thick black coils. She groaned softly- but nothing that could be heard beyond Edge's blackened shell.

The large skeletal bone zoid stood as still as a statue no life to be seen as the little organoid was standing beside the Mercenary who stood atop a large cliff watching the overcast sky. A squeak came from the organoid as a bright white light shot across the sky to her left, that was unusual. Maybe it wasn't for this part of Zi at least. Marcia looked at Agumo. Marcia felt the wind come from the impact.

Agumo squeaked both excitedly and urgently pointing to the comet. It wanted to go there there was something important there.

Marcia gave a nod the organoid seemed anxious "Alright," she said "We'll go Agumo." she smiled patting Agumo on the head.

The Organoid glowed as it shot into the sky and landed on Catastrophe. Catastrophe glowed blue for a moment as it awakened it's red eyes glowed again as it came back to life.Catastrophe roared to signal it's awakening. It lowered it's head to the cliff and the cockpit opened for the mercenary.

Marcia quickly leaped into the cockpit and took the controls and closing the cockpit, she moved the large zoid forward and increased the speed to a quick run.

Catastrophe didn't like to run, it would have rather walked
but the organoid made itself known and Catastrophe had no choice but to run. Catastrophe growled slightly annoyed.

Marcia would let the bio zoid destroy something latter, when no one was around. As they got nearer the impact was much more evident, the trees were blown completely over and some of them where even blown clean out of the ground. Marcia slowed the large zoid as they got closer Marcia started to looking around. Everything was certainly trashed, though an orb sat in the center of the impact crater.

"Now what is that?" she said aloud as Agumo started squeaking with catastrophe's deep voice. It was obviously trying to communicate.

"Hey Agumo do you know what that is?" She asked the organoid as it continued talking.

The black draconic organoid began to uncurl itself. Bladed tail lashed outwards first, impacting the ground a second time and leaving another heavy dent in the rocky ground. Hindlegs shifted, dark silver talons grating against the rocks to find balance. And, lastly, his head rose. No runic markings lingered on his body.

No, he was jet black aside from the pulsing blue of power and fury in his dangerous-looking eyes.

He wanted to stay put, to rest for a moment, but he felt an approach, and not a small one. Not only a relatively powerful zoid, but an organoid he didn't know.

Would this day ever end?

The draconic organoid turned its wicked head towards Catastrophe, hissing, with white-silver fangs glittering viciously. It squared itself towards the zoid, as if in an effort to threaten it off.

Edge's black armor was dusty, dirty- the black almost a greyed brown after impacting the ground. One would think he'd at least rise with a dent, but he was unscatched, and only ever more infuriated.

However, the ancient organoid waited- waited to see their intentions before making his next move.

Marcia watched as the black draconic organoid unfurled. Her eyes went wide with surprise. It was an organoid, she mused there was something.. somehow that organoid felt different from her's who was made in the past few years. She couldn't quite put her finger on it.

It hissed defensively and Agumo squeaked trying to explain it didn't mean any harm and was wondering if he was alright.

Marcia listened quietly not understanding the dialogue between the two. As she looked at the black organoid she noticed it wasn't even dented from that, considering the impact crater was massive. The fact it hadn't gotten up right away and ran was something suspicious. Was protecting something? Marcia couldn't quite see underneath the black Organoid.

The lack of returned hostility was more or less a sigh of relief. The squeaks from Agumo were understood, and while Edge could have communicated directly with the organoid, he was strained and didn't particularly feel like opening that can of worms right at the moment.

Kai was waking, pulling back from his conciousness, separating again to be in and of herself. Likely to wake in hysterics, the organoid wouldn't, or perhaps couldn't, chance keeping her restrained.

The chest chamber of the organoid opened, and Marcia could see the long black coils from within him circled around what looked to be a girl. They extended and set the girl gingerly on the ground- an action that didn't quite seem to fit the displayed personality of the mechanical dragon.

When her eyes opened, they glowed the same blue as Edge. They opened quickly, and wide, and suddenly Kai began to thrash- screaming at the top of her lungs.

Dust caught in her throat, and the blue faded from her eyes. Closing them, she turned onto her side, choking and coughing as she tried to clear her lungs of the inhaled debris.

Her entire form trembled, though whether it was from fear, anguish, anger or physical harm, it was hard to tell. She was bandaged nearly from head to toe already, but over said bandages was a layer of soot and what seemed to be burns on some lengths of skin.

Whatever had happened, it was rather serious.

The organoid hunched over her slightly, protectively, though with enough room to be out of her thrashing range. His eyes remained angled upwards at Marcia.

Who? There had bee a girl inside the organoid? that guy was full of surprises. Marcia became even more confused when her eyes glowed the same color as the black Organoids. It was bound to that girl, that was important to know but the question of why was it out here in the first place arose.

Catastrophe hunkered down on the ground, with a growl. It would at least be easier for Marcia to get in and out of the Zoid that way.

Marcia opened the cockpit as fast as she could as the girl started to thrash around, she had seen all the bandages on the girl from the zoid, there was also black.. something all over her Marcia wasn't sure what it was. But she was sure that girl needed help, Something rather serious had happened that much was apparent.

Agumo emerged from the zoid in a flash of blue light shooting into the sky and landing behind Marcia squeaking a greeting to edge trying to let him know it was ok.

The zoid's bright red eyes slowly faded and the machine went silent.

Marcia jumped from the cockpit and started toward Edge slowly and paused a decent ways away. Marcia stared directly at the black organoid's blue eyes returning it's stare. "I won't hurt her or you I promise." she spoke softly trying not to anger the dragon.

the orange organoid stayed behind Marcia peeking our from behind her cautiously there was another person there. But it looked like she was hurt, so he wasn't as afraid to come out.

Despite the fact that the Saix was going at a relatively leisurely pace considering what it was, the dragon MRZ that tailed it on the ground still had some difficulty keeping up. For the most part, it didn't mind a whole lot, as it was better than being left behind somewhere.

It wasn't too often Blade would venture in the uncharted territories, but at times there were some interesting things to be seen or to be found. On a rare occasion he might find an old Zoid or other things that may have some useful parts and such. If he was lucky, he might find something today.

For the most part, things had been going rather slowly, as nothing of interest caught his attention. Though, in the distance, a streak of light soon came crashing down into the earth.

Was that a comet? thought the thief as he stared in the direction where the thing landed. Well, he may as well go investigate it nonetheless. Seeing a crater and meteorite would at least be more interesting than the usual sand and rocks.

"I'm going to go see what that was, meet me there alright?" he called down to the MRZ before ushering the Saix to hurry on towards the crash site.

Seeing the larger zoid blaze on off, Maelthra let out a slightly disgruntle noise as it ran on to try and catch up. At least it knew where they were headed.

Drawing closer to the scene, the Lightning Saix soon slowed down as another zoid came into view. It only took a few moments before Blade realized he recognized the machine; he had seen it at Riot's camp that one night. There was no mistaking it too as he hadn't quite seen any other Zoid like that one, even if he originally saw it at night. With the bio-Zoid in sight, his approach became more wary, as he felt there was some potential trouble to be had here.

Though, he soon saw the ones on the ground near the large skeletal machine. Two of the figures appeared to be organoids of sorts, while the third was no other than Marcia. Now that was something he wasn't exactly expecting to see all the way out here. Looking more carefully, he soon realized there was a fourth figure; one underneath the dark organoid.

The lingering banchi-like screech rung in Kai's ears. She had an idea, as Edge did, of the weight of the consequences that would follow this whole excursion. Her vision was glazed, one could see upon approaching, and her mind's eye still could only see the black shadows. The red eyes, the mocking stares. She, mentally, wasn't in the present.

Memories, nightmares, realities, all swam across her conciousness in a flood of incomprehensible speeds, pictures and words. She was still back on the battlefield.

As the girl quit thrashing, she gasped for air after choking on the dry ground that she'd thrown up around her in the flailing.

Rather suddenly, her eyes cleared.

"JAGER!" The girl yelled in a frantic, furious voice as the present began to catch up with her.

The black organoid reached down, though his glare never left Marcia, and took hold of Kai's shirt collar and pulled her up to sit. The motion appeared painful for the human, but it forced the girl to see that they weren't alone. As her vision became less hazy and she could focus on what was in front of her, immediate hostility painted her face.

While words escaped the girl herself for the moment, Edge opened what seemed almost to be an internal comlink to Marcia's organoid itself. Who are you, and what do you want? The ancient voice was riddled with anger, but also, though he tried to hide it, exhaustion.

If organoids could groan, Edge would have when another zoid was approaching- and much, much quicker than the skeletal zoid had. They were going to be surrounded? They were gaining a knack for putting themselves in dire situations. And with their current luck with fate, the pair could only assume the worst in order to survive long enough to carry out the mission they knew they must.

Agumo squeaked in surprise As Egdge opened a link between the two of them. It was far to curious regardless of its shyness I'm Agumo, It spoke happily bright blue eyes flashed with curiosity. And that's Marcia She's my friend, The organoid continued You called me remember when you fell. the organoid's tone was bright and cheery quite a contrast to the zoid behind them.

"Hey are you ok?" Jager? That sound like a zoid's name, what in the hell happened to these guys two. She was completely frantic. Marcia knelt down on one knee . She watched the organoid lift it's partner so she could sit, the other girl looked like she was in a lot of pain.

"I've got some medicine in Catastophe, if you want." her voice was calm and even, she cast a look of concern at the wounded girl before locking stare's at the organoid again. This was going to be a long day. She had to convince the pair she didn't want to hurt them before she could help them.

Agumo squeaked nudging Marcia to let her know there was another zoid nearby. That meant another human, and a human that wasn't hurt Agumo took a sep back before merging back into the skeletal zoid.

"Hey Agumo" Marcia's torso spun around averting her gaze from the black organoid. Marcia smiled fondly at the skiddish organoid as it merged. That could mean only one thing. There was some one else nearby.

Catastrophe came to life once more as it glowed blue for a moment and stood with a roar in the direction of the saix. Something the size of a Gojulas standing was definitely hard to miss. Catastrophe moved on it's own to stand over both Marcia and the other pair. Catastrophe growled threateningly at the approaching saix.

Marcia sighed. Could this day get any better.

Now closer, Blade's approach had slowed down a good deal. He didn't want to accidentally run over anyone or anything like that. Not to mention that the orange organoid had fused with the skeletal Zoid which soon stirred with life soon after it happened. The larger Zoid took a protective stance over those on the ground, while sending out a few hostile signs.

"Woah, easy there. I'm not here to attack anyone," he called out to the group as he brought the lightning saix to a stop. Perhaps it wasn't the greatest idea to come investigate what had crashed down. Judging the looks of the large Zoid, if it decided to attack him, he'd have one hell of a fight on his hands. And quite frankly, he didn't really want to get into something like that if he could help it.

"I saw something crash down somewhere around here, so I came to check it out," he added to try and explain things a bit. Hopefully it'd at least get them all to ease up a bit.

The cheeriness was certainly something Edge was not used to, and he growled softly through clenched teeth, tugging the back of Kai's tunic harder to sit her upright before letting go. Serpentine-like movements turned his head and swayed his tail as he watched Agumo bolt off to merge with the skeletal zoid.

The link between the two was shut by the black organoid as he determined that no intentional hostility was going to be shown to them- not that he could fight off much, but he'd go into one heck of a rage if it had turned out otherwise.

Kai blinked, almost stupidly, at first, staring up at the unfamiliar face. Her mind swam with questions, memories, regrets- all trying to piece together the past few hours.

Eventually, she slowly shook her head and lifted a hand, many of the bandages- made from tattered cloth and not actual medical supplies- were ragged, cut, and hanging revealing much of the wounds beneath. Some deep, some shallow. Though, that didn't seem to be of primary concern. The lifted hand held her head and she closed her eyes.

"I'm.." Kai started to speak, but no matter how much she wanted to lie, she just couldn't utter the word 'fine', so instead she uttered the only word to make sense, "I'm alive."

Coherence came slowly, "Jager.. was my zoid. He.. it.. was.." She stuttered and her words faded as she began to waver in and out of conciousness. The wickedly taloned hindlimb of Edge propped her up, and kept her from falling back into the dirt behind them.

As if in response to the Saix's approach, Edge snarled, metallic jaws snapping. He only quieted at the shouted reproach from Blade. And his verbal warning swayed into just a displeased glare. The draconic organoid figured these two humans could be of some use, if only he'd reign in his growing desire to attack them.
PostPosted: Thu Dec 17, 2009 1:16 pm

Jager eh? Sounded like a good name for a zoid. "Better alive than dead." Marcia gave her a slight smile but it quickly changed into a look of concern as the girl wavered from conscious to unconsciousness Marcia made a move to approach but stopped as Edge snarled. She'd dare to approach if the organoid would let her help. Which oddly enough she highly doubted.

The large shadow of the bio zoid loomed over them Marcia looked at the saix, As the voice came from from the saix Marcia recognized it instantly. It was one of the rogues she had met at during the zombie attack. Greaat. She hadn't exactly told him she 'was' the pilot of the bio zoid.
Catastrophe roared again at the saix but didn't move from it's spot or it's stance.

Geeze, Marcia sighed what was she going to do now. She looked up at the large zoid. Didn't look like he was going to move thankfully. She couldn't do anything till he came out. She still had to help that girl, and if Blade was smart he wouldn't instigate a fight between the bio zoid and the saix. Marcia stared up at the Saix for a moment, this was going to be interesting at least.

Between the look the dark organoid gave him, and the wary stance of the large bio-Zoid, Blade thought it was best if he didn't have the Saix approach any further. The cheetah like zoid rumbled lowly, not exactly liking the tense atmosphere that was about.

"Take it easy.. nothing's going to happen" muttered Blade to his Zoid before adding under his breath, "I hope."

From there, he opened the cockpit to drop down onto the ground. It might make the skeletal zoid a little more relaxed if the Saix didn't have its pilot in the cockpit. At least that was what he was hoping. Speaking of that zoid, he was curious to its relation with Marcia. Last time he saw her she said it belonged to a friend... was that this seemingly injured pilot on the ground?

He didn't hear everything, but he did manage to catch the tail end of the down pilot's words. So the skeletal wasn't hers then.

"Is she hurt?" he asked Marcia while keeping his distance for the time being.
PostPosted: Thu Dec 17, 2009 6:50 pm

At least the gigantic skeletal zoid would take some of the attention off them, Edge thought, rumbling deeply- annoyed- as yet another zoid's approach could be felt. Did he land in a junction? It had looked empty from where he'd projected from.

"Sometimes." The pilot responded to Marcia, and shifted, an arm quickly tightening around her midsection. She couldn't quite keep her thoughts straight. Her prior encounter had messed with her more than she'd expected, and now that she was mentally separated from Edge, she didn't have his rigidity to lean upon.

Kai took a long breath, trying to control herself, to recollect herself and manage to face whatever situation was brewing. Edge was a great and unwavering protector, but he'd be the death of her if he wouldn't let a trustworthy hand through. Her ice-cool grey-blue eyes glanced in Blade's direction, trying to determine whether she should respond or not- or whether she could. The entire world seemed to fade in and out whenever she'd shift, so she tried as best she could to remain steady. It was less her wounds, at this point, but rather pure exhaustion.

All these faces, unrecognizable.

"Enough." One-word responses seemed to be what she could manage. She had a lot of preparation to do before.. next time. The word she spoke seemed to be a command, for the black dragon behind her stood a little straighter and his growling quit. The hatefulness that seemed to embody him stood strong, but he didn't seem to inhibit the closeness of the other pilots in this less guarding position.

"He won't attack.." Kai took a deep, frustrated breath and closed her eyes, "Unless you do." Her voice was notably stern- obviously the pair were a good match, but weak and quiet.
