Ha ha, I dove into the event right when it started. (I love Gaia's Christmas events) Here's a link to an event guide:

Tips: I don't know if it's still true, but when I was doing it the Old Newspaper combover was worth like 500 gingerbreadmen. If you have it, fork it over!
I didn't get the "over 250 gingerbread men" thing, but I did buy the garbage wings for fairly cheap, so you might want to consider that before throwing a ton of things into the cute fire engine thing.

I just bought a mass of 2g orange shorts. cheap and easy to find in your inventory box! Just kept shoveling them into the little engine!
