 Ai lay on the beach beside Kenna happily. Sisters smiled together and laughed about innocent topics such as how the fish were acting today and other things. Ai laughed as Kenna made jokes until her stomach rumbled that is.
"Lets go hunt together!" Ai Suggested innocently as she stood. Kenna though probably wouldn't want her to hunt, she wasn't very good at it, unlike Kenna who was good at everything it seemed. But Kenna had always taken care of her since the loss of her parents so she was the most thankful for Kenna's company even if Kenna wasn't her real sister it still felt like they had a deeper bond than blood.
Kenna laughed as Ai's stomach rumbled in the middle of her joke. "That was the best timing ever." she smiled at Ai. Kenna wasn't ever this open when there where others around. Kenna felt a deep need to constantly protect her sister and when others were around she became very hard and deterring. Ai was special and her innocence was something that should be preserved.
Kenna stretched her wings and nodded "It's alright." she said about the offer to hunt with her. It wasn't that Ai wasn't the greatest hunter, Ai wasn't suited for such things "Thank you but It'll be alright if I hunt by myself." she smiled softly at her sister.
"What do you want me to catch?""An antelope!" She said with a smile even though she felt disheartened, Kenna really didn't want to hunt with her."You got it." Kenna smiled Giving Ai a hug. Alright so she wasn't the greatest hunter on land but it should be alright she could find one hopefully quickly and return in no time. "I'll be back." she said before rushing off. There where no Lions around so she wouldn't have to worry about anyone bothering Ai.
Ai Waved good bye to her sister as Kenna slipped further into the island trees.

 Mahatma had spent the day deep underwater, the spirits around him protected by the simple fact that water could not extinguish their glow. Often times he would seek solitude in places where others would have great difficulty finding him so he could connect to the other side and strengthen his mind again. A visit from his deceased father had indeed given him more than enough strength to go on for a long while.
As he slowly swam up to the surface, caught up in his own thoughts, his lantern began glowing brightly causing him to look up. On the shore of the beach lay the two water lionesses he had met a while back. His eyes closed as he remembered the encounter, a soft smile creeping across his maw. When he opened his eyes he saw Kenna leave, Ai staying where she was. The lantern dimmed as he swam closer until his paws touched sand, then he padded closer, stopping short so as not to frighten her. "Ai...is it you?" Becca lay on her back watching a colorful butterfly flutter just out of her reach. Her eyes shone in excitement and innocent curiousity as it softly landed on her hind paw, cleaning it's feelers. For a long moment she simply lay there watching it, enthralled by it's enchanting colors. But soon enough she gently poked at it with one paw, tilting her head as it moved to her front paw, then her nose. It seemed to look her in the eye as she watched it, laying stock-still. The moment it lifted off she stretched out her legs and wings, having been in that position for a good twenty minutes.
"Bye bye!" Energy seemed to hit her as it took off for good. She waved to the butterfly, giggling as it dissapeared from sight. Though it seemed odd she loved to lay on her back, finding it more comfortable than her belly or sides. She stayed there until her ears caught the sound of big paws, then her nose picking up a scent. Instead of getting up she simply tilted her head toward the source curiously. "Hi.."

Ai looked up hearing Mahatma's voice. "Hello" she greeted him cheerfully "Yep It's me Ai, and you're Mahatma right." she smiled, she'd never forget a face ever, especially his, he had allowed her to head the last words of her deceased parents. He had been so kind about it too. she was truly grateful for it.
Kenna moved through the bushes as silently as she could, though on this land. It made things increasingly difficult there was so much.. Brush and everything was in the way. She couldn't glide smoothly and effortlessly like she could in the water, and if she tried to hunt from the sky the trees would obstruct her.
"Hi" a little voice came from the ground. Kenna looked around through the brush. How could she have not seen a little cub?! That was annoying. Ant it wasn't even a water lion cub.
"Hi." she responded rather irritated at the fact she hadn't see the cub who was so close.

As Mahatma stepped fully onto dry land the spirits around him began floating toward the water lioness while he shook himself dry. "That is correct...it seems they remember you as well..." He was glad she had remembered his name. Once he stepped closer, more gliding than actual walking since his paws never truly touched the ground, most of the spirits returned to him. A few lingered, one circling her.
Becca stayed on her back for a moment as she took the stranger's appearance in and recognized the features of a water lioness. Slowly she rolled over, shaking dirt and grass from her fur. It was obvious the lioness was upset, so she waddled right over, sat down in front of her, and placed one tiny paw on one of the lionesses big ones. "Are you sad Miss big water...? I'll keep it a secret...Promise."

Ai embraced the spirits as best she could without actually touching them. "Hello all of you and thank you for remembering me." she whispered to them softly, before watching most of them return to Mahatma, she glanced at the ones that hovered around her "you're all gorgeous." she smiled at the spirits they were glowing and warm it and they made her feel all happy inside.
"Are you going to collect more?" she asked him.
Kenna sighed.. just what she needed and bight peppy child. Kenna sighed watching the little cub. Wait... it kind of reminded her of Ai. Kenna's features softened "No I'm not, more irritated than anything I'm rather out of my element." She had to get back to Ai but what was this child doing here all alone?
"Where are you're parent's little one?" she asked.

Mahatma's smile slowly grew a little, which was new to him. He had never smiled before, there had never been a reason to. But she made him feel a kind of peace that just couldn't contain itself. As she greeted the spirits and complimented them he sat down, watching as a few stayed around her still. "I do not choose how many...They are drawn to my lantern if they are lost. In fact...about half of these spirits are new...the others made it over successfully..."
The moment the lionesses features softened Becca giggled softly, eyes shining with innocent curiosity. She'd never met a water lion before so it was facinating to her. "My mama is talking to big sissy, my daddy is helping my other sissy...I'm in daddy's little bit of land right now so I'm safe." Smiles brightly, getting up and walking around to inspect the water lion tail. "I bet you can swim good...I'm Becca!"

Ai nodded "It's so wonderful you do that it's a great responsibility and many must thank you for it," She smiled happily he smiled. So if she kept smiling he would too right. Smiles were beautiful things. "I'm so glad the spirits are safe where they belong."
Kenna gave a nod "Kenna." she said simple "My name's Kenna." Kenna was one of the best swimmers at least by her standards. But hunting on land was something completely different. right she had to get back to Ai after she found an antelope. "You don't happen to know if there's a heard of antelope around do you? Becca?" she asked the little lion.

Mahatma watched as she kept smiling, at first not sure how to react. As she kept smiling though the corners of his mouth twitched until he was smiling softly. It was new to him, but he felt he could around her. "I have recieved several thank you's...though I do not expect them. It is my life's purpose..." His smile wavered for a moment, but stayed there. Truth be told he was lonely.
"Your name is really pretty..." She plopped down in front of the water lioness once more, moving a little two quickly until she lost her balance and rolled over backwards. For a moment she lay there a little shocked, then she started giggling and batting her paws at the air. "You mean the big not lions with sharp sticks on their heads..? They are over by the woods that way." Motions to the North.

Ai nodded, she thought his job and ability were wonderful, it was such a great responsibility but still a great gift. She was pleased to hear that he was thanked, and he was so kind as not to expect them. He hadn't smiled during their first meeting, she wanted him to be happy since he looked lonely.
"Doesn't smiling make you feel better?" she asked as the smile waned a little. "I have an Idea, how about we be friends?" she suggested brightly maybe that would make him feel better..
"Thank you little one, yous is as well." Kenna looked at the little cub in surprise "Are you alright?" she asked worried as she tumbled though as Becca started giggling Kenna breathed a sigh of relief. She was alright. Kenna gently picked up the cub and placed her back on her feet. Kenna gace a nod "That would be them." she said looking toward the north.
"Thank you for your help." she saidas she was about to start off.

Mahatma had looked at the spirits for a moment, the smile still on his face until he heard Ai's question. He looked straight at her, into her eyes searching them as his body tensed. Nobody had ever asked for friendship from him before. Though he held her gaze he smiled more brightly. "I would like that...You are the first to want anything to do with me..."
Wiggles a little when Kenna picks her up, but allows it without a fight. She'd been raised in such a loving sheltering family that somebody trying to hurt her wouldn't even cross her mind. As the water lioness began walking away, she started to follow as fast as her little paws would carry her, tail swishing excitedly.

Ai tilted her head curiously. But why wouldn't anyone want to do something with this lion? Ai thought, he was so kind after all. That was just strange. Ai smiled "Then it settles it we'll be friends!" she said brightly. bounding over to her new friend. Ai had a cubs energy, though even Kenna couldn't understand why. "As friends we should spend time together and have fun!" she declared. She was making this up as she went along, as for what to do... well she was still working on it.
Kenna continued forward though as she heard pawpads behind her she paused. "why are you still following me?" Shouldn't this cub be running home now? "Go home to your family." she instructed before moving forward again. The little cub might get hurt if she came with her.

Mahatma's smile grew wider as she declared that they should be friends. He admired the playful innocent energy she showed as she bounded over to him. "My my, you do have a lot of energy...it is wonderful..." He had never really played before, or bounced around for that matter. There was nobody to do such things with where he came from. This was all so exciting to him. "Sure thing...though I do not know any games..."
Becca stopped when Kenna did and tilted her head. "Because. I lost my daddy and mommy and sissy. Can't find them and I'm lonely..." She ran forward, climbing up the fin tail until she sat on Kenna's back, nuzzling happily. "Kenna is a sweet lioness...let Becca come? I'll be good...promise!"
