~Dungeon Quest~

With the return of darkness to the TV World recently, another of the wicked worlds that the Investigation Team once visited has resurfaced. The Dungeon Quest World is a labyrinth of 8-bit stone halls which are laden with tricks, traps, and powerful enemies meant to bar the way for 'players' to make their way into the final dungeon...where the 'Boss' character awaits them. This dungeon was created when Mitsuo Kubo was thrown into the TV by Adachi initially, but has returned now with Mitsuo himself being reintroduced to the television world.

At the end lies the battlefield where the Investigation Team defeated Mitsuo's shadow.

An unnatural, dark Aura emanates from within Dungeon Quest. Entrance to the Dungeon has now been sealed.

An unnatural, dark Aura emanates even more strongly from within Dungeon Quest. The Seal to the Dungeon Quest Game World has been lifted.

Soji Seta, Investigation Team Leader

If there was something almost comforting about entering the Mayonaka Lobby after time away from it, it was exactly the opposite coming to the front of the Dungeon Quest Game World. That sick sense of just how wrong this place was, the mindset of the person who had given rise to such a twisted place, it all weighed as heavily upon his mind now as it had back then. Still, as he approached with his team ready behind him, he knew that things weren't going to be quite the same as last time. Cheap tricks weren't going to keep them from their goal, and this time even Mitsuo would have to acknowledge that. Which meant two things in the end...he was confident that their second confrontation would end differently than the first time and that he had a different brand of interruption waiting for them somewhere along the road between the entrance and the end of the dungeon. But whatever it was, they were ready. They were stronger now, their ranks with more members, and experience was still on their side over Mitsuo despite whatever powers he had received from Hetero before inviting them down here for this showdown. Steely eyes focused on the eight-bit gate and then glanced over his shoulder, offering a confident nod to those behind him. It was time to get down to business, the reason why their powers were given to them, and they weren't going to be stopped no matter what the fish-eyed b*****d had waiting for them.

"Remember, wait, and then move forward. And stay in touch," he spoke to the groups behind him, before nodding to those in his and starting forward into the Game...

Zeo Zaggart

Zeo was always standing at the front of the group now that they'd entered the Shadow World, and his agitation at their hesitation was only natural, even if he knew that Soji was only waiting because they had no idea what was ahead. But as they entered the world everything seemed to click with Zeo fairly well; the dungeon definitely came from the same strain as his own, and he knew that if they kept waiting too long, it was possible that Hetero would do something else to Yuki-chan; something he couldn't let happen. "Sorry Soji, but I'm going ahead! Yukiko's waiting on us, and I can't let any girl get hurt, it's just not in me. I'll see if I can keep 'em busy so catch up quick, alright?" Zeo suddenly dashed forward into the hallways of the gaming world, seeing a likely route immediately as he left the Investigation Team's well laid plan and took off into the Dungeon Quest Game World, the worry on his heart stressing him much more than he let show to the other members of the team. Zeo knew that time was of the essence and that nothing usually happened with just one person, and that their power lay in teamwork, but if he could stall Hetero's gang for any amount of time or clear some shadows ahead, that might be enough to improve their chances, and he was too loyal to his friends to admit he felt like a hindrance with the words of hetero bearing down on him.

Rednal

Rednal watched as Zeo shouted something as he came, and with a small shrug, he stuck out his leg to trip the cyborg as he went by. Ordinarily not an idea most would consider terribly bright (cyborg-boys did have metal components, after all, hence the name), but on the other hand, Rednal did have a Persona who would help in situations like that... so he figured it would be all right. "Zeo, if they were going to hurt her, they'd have done it already." Rednal observed. "We're not yet in a position to stop them, after all. As long as they're waiting for us, I don't think she's in much danger, if only because they'd rather make us suffer by forcing us to watch as they hurt her. We'll get there a bit slower this way, because we want to be certain that we do rescue her. If you rush out to disrupt the plan, then you're putting all the girls here in more danger, too..." Which may have been the only part the cyborg would pay attention to...

Faust and Chie

Faust had nodded along with Souji's plan, before Zeo tried to break ranks, and crash on through.
Rather, he did, but Rednal managed to trip him, and send him reeling.

Resisting the urge to laugh at Zeo, he moved forward to attempt to drag him back in line.
"Just wait, Zeo." he called, in a surprisingly neutral tone. "We'll be in there in two minutes."

Chie herself had started in alongside Souji, being more than willing to crash through the dungeon to save Yukiko. Nothing was going to stop her from protecting her best friend.
She anxiously kept her guard up, looking around worriedly.

Leon Mori & Teddie

Teddie walked in front of his team, Only by a meter or so, he was sniffing the air, searching for any sign of Yukiko, or anything.

Leon followed Souji and Teddie, walking alongside Chie, he took his sword from it's resting place on his shoulder.
He held it by the sheath in his right hand and drew the blade, the steel ringing ever so slightly as it left it's casing.
He was still struggling to keep himself under control. Had Chie and Teddie not been along with him and Souji, Leon may have already lost himself again.
"Hey, Chie. If it looks like I'm about to do something reckless, be sure to stop me okay?"

Chie Satonaka

Chie paused a bit, snapping out of her single minded anger, to notice Leon asking him to keep him in line.
"Gotcha." she called, lightly. "So long as I can count on you to do the same, okay?"

She felt she could handle herself fairly well, but it was always nice to know someone was going to be there to back you up.
"Let's just save Yukiko, alright?" she called, smirking lightly at Leon.

Teddie continued to sniff the air.

Leon nodded "You got it."
As badly as He wanted to get payback, Yukiko had to come first.
"Yeah... We have to."

Chie Satonaka

Chie nodded firmly, as she continued on with Leon, feeling her trust in him, as well.
She was glad to have him as a friend, that was for sure.

Minori Koroko

The blond followed the large group to the Dungeon Quest Game World, a feeling of uneasiness clenching her heart. She had been on other dungeons before, but this one seemed different, the air on it was thick...just wrong. The blond frowned, gazing right ahead at the entrance of the videogame like dungeon. She listened to Soji as he gave out some final instructions before starting forward towards the dungeon. The feeling of uneasiness never left her, as she turned towards team members that remained outside. Her eyes locked on the ones she would advance inside the Game with...Yosuke, Faust and Zeo. She was well aware of their strengths and didn't doubt them at all. What kept worrying the blond senior was new addition to the group: Amelia. It had been a great surprise seeing her at Junes earlier today, and even more when she had followed inside the TV. She frowned. When had she awoken to her persona? What had happened? Was it that what had bothered her the night before...?
Minori had to snapped from her thoughts as a flash of teal hair rushed forward, breaking the formation. Luckily, the Alpha Team hadn't been much ahead inside, and Zeo was dragged back. The girl let the others talk some reason to the android, and waited for the time for them to walk inside. They needed to rescue Yukiko. They will rescue her.

Zeo turned as he heard Faust and Rednal both say something, but considering the unusual distance he'd kept between them the entire time, he wasn't sure he caught what they were saying correct; nor was he of course tripped in any way. As he entered one of the latter corridors, Zeo turned to the side each, noticing that this place was much more complex than he would have imagined from his own dungeon. The hallways split, and from what he could tell that meant that at least one of them was the wrong way to go, which made his choice a bit more difficult. But then he expected this to be something like a game, and there were always hints to something like that in a game; that, or ridiculous hours of trial and error that would end with him screaming in frustration. But he was still only on the first floor if the dungeon, and he doubted or at least hoped it wasn't like that, yet. Instead he found himself taking a left, following the old idea of the labyrinth, and more importantly following the basics of gamer logic; it was a Japanese superstition that right was the safer, and thus wrong road, and Zeo wasn't one to avoid danger if it was for Yukiko, while the logic itself was often applied to older style video games anyways. If this world was made up of thought and superstition, it seemed like a strong theory for application. Zeo could just imagine the others now, gaping at his logic and reason, considering his usual antics...but right now he felt there was someone worth protecting. He wasn't going to lose his head about it, but he wanted to be moer proactive than they'd been so far.

"Hey, get back here! Damn it, every time someone runs off something bad always happens. We either encounter a rare shadow, or get jumped by the villain, or there are difficult traps in between. Just see if this time is any different." Yosuke said, raising his hands in a shrug and sigh towards Soji as he shared the thought rather matter of factly, though he might have just been trying not to let Zeo get on his nerves. What, did he think he was the only one worried about Yukiko? The one Yosuke was most worried about was Chie, but she wasn't with his group this time so he knew he couldn't be there to help her keep calm, as if that were possible after finding out your best friend was in danger. "You guys, let's go. We have to find Zeo, and then stop that nut-job before he lays a finger on Yukiko. Faust, you and I will take point, that way we can protect Minori if anything seems amiss. I was going to have Zeo be our attacker, but well," Yosuke let the sentence drop, since they all knew where he was going with it. They would have to make due with a pair of balanced Personas and Minori's guidance, and that meant they'd have to be even more careful. Luckily Zeo couldn't have gotten far, so if they found him that would fill the gap in their group, and this time there were more of them to look out for one another. It was nice that they weren't alone any more, even if he couldn't hide missing the hero feeling a bit. "Come on, let's go!" Yosuke said, heading into the dungeon with hopes of finding their walking talking pick-up line machine quickly.

"Ugh...that took FOREVER!!"

Raiden, The Wicked One

There was a basic outline when attempting to crush one's mind; much more than simply defeating them or showing them cruel things, the formula for breaking someone started by catching them off guard, then presenting them with a swift glimpse of hope. And so the Investigation's spirit rose, until they were ready to charge headlong into danger for the things they should have abandoned long ago, and they appeared in the Dungeon Quest full of an unknown vigor, falling perfectly into Hetero's trap. Raiden waited at the steps, his hand stroking the sheathe around his sword passively as he held back the vicious action of licking his lips, a sign he intended to see them suffer here. Pain was the gift of the wicked, and he was the master of his craft. But what did not benefit the hopelessly brash fools from Yasogami was the fact that Zeo suddenly became the first arrive, something which Raiden greeted with a mixed enthusiasm of bitterness and wild delight, like a hound that had just found the rabbit that once escaped it's maul. "So you've seen fit to accept your deaths one at a time? Good, abandon your weak companions, and find the strength within yourself. Nothing will change the fates of the weak." Raiden drew his sword, slowing moving into posture with his sword pointed towards the shorter fool, his body turned sideways for quick actions. The stairs lay behind him, and Raiden would not allow him to pass easily, the chance to escape for the Investigation Team already beyond their grasp. "If you don't submit to us, then you are our enemy."
