Holding up a silver tray of cookies, Luska stood by the open doors of "Le Dulce" bakery with a slightly nervous smile on her face as she tried to greet customers that would step inside the sweet smelling shop. "W-w-welcome..." She mumbled, keeping her eyes onto the floor or onto the tray of fresh baked pastries that were disappearing at quite a quick rate.
Normally, "Le Dulce" didn't have so many costumers to the point where the shop can get a little crowded. If it had been one or two strangers, Luska wouldn't have mind it. But a whole crowd of them made the child uncomfortable. The lines were also moving rather slow since only one person was working at the counter. Luska wasn't sure how Aaren was even able to handle so many customers at once.
With a sigh, the girl decided that the shop was getting too stuffy. People were already invading her personal space and she especially detested that. With that in mind, Luska decided to wait out side the door and offer free cookies from there.
Outside wasn't that cold right? Besides, her clothes were warm enough anyway!
....at least Luska thought so....

Laura sighed, walking next to Cera with two huge bags of clothes in each hand. They finally had time to buy more clothes for the girl to wear, ones that hopefully would survive another growth spurt. Her daughter just kept picking out different clothes, and it was very hard to say no to the girl.
Cera was pretty bundled up herself, wearing a large purple coat, and some gray sweatpants. She really couldn't handle the cold, and was even wearing gloves to keep warm (hopefully her claws sticking out of them wouldn't cause too much trouble) and a scarf around her tail, tied like a bow at the end to make sure it stays on.
When the girl saw Luska out there with the cookies, she was grinning wildy. Cookies! Cookies for her! She quickly ran over and grabbed a few to eat, sticking them right in her mouth. "Cera! No!" Her mother ran up behind Cera and pulled her back. "I'm really, really sorry about that... my daughter..." It was then that she noticed those ears... and a tail, right behind her too. It made her wonder...

To say that Luska was shocked was an understatement. Her eyes were wide as she looked from the tray and then back towards the girl who were now stuffing as many as she could into her mouth. Was it even possible to eat that much without getting sick?
Luska tried once and the outcome made her stay away from her guardian's baked sweets for about a week or two.
Her attention was the diverted towards the the child's mother. She shook her head towards Laura's apology. "It's okay. Lulu was suppose to give them away anyway." The girl explains before turning back towards Cera, curiously inspecting the girl. "I-is it really okay so much?"
The other girl had a tail just like her own. Except only different. She'd met several others who were from the same facility as her. Perhaps this girl was also one of them too?

"Oh... who's Lulu? Your mother?" She suspected that the owner of this place and the daughter were related, but there was never a way to be sure short of asking.
Cera was always pretty boggled by the idea of just GIVING something away, especially something good like cookies. Why didn't this girl just take them for herself? It didn't make sense to her.
She didn't notice t he tail, but those ears certainly got her attention. They were like hers... only better. Now this was just cruel. Not only couldn't she have wings like the others, but now even the things she DOES have aren't as good as other people's! She didn't say anything, but her face really was turning red now. She wanted those fluffs on Luska's ears for herself!

Luska shook her head towards the woman's question. "Lulu is me." She would have pointed to herself but her hands are occupied at the moment. "Lulu's real name is Luska, but I like calling myself 'Lulu'" The child explains, realizing that the way she speaks might have confused the other.
"Mommy is sick, but mommy's friend is helping out with the store. Lulu is just here to help out!" Though she should really be inside, rather than standing outside in the cold.
People were slowly leaving the bakery which meant that it was probably okay to go back inside. Turning towards Cera, the girl tilts her head at how the others face changed color. Was it because of the cold? It happened to her once when she stood outside too long. So that must be the reason!
Mistaking it to be the weathers fault, the child says, "It's warmer inside so maybe you should come in."

(( Oh god, I'm terrible. Sorry, I haven't been feeling too well lately. ))
"Oh, I see. Well, that's a very nice name, Lulu." Laura grinned, looking down at Cera, who seemed to be giving Luska the cold shoulder. "I'm Laura, and this is my daughter, Cera." Cera didn't say a word.
"Oh..." The woman frowned. "Sorry about your mother. I hope she feels better soon. But, you're so grown up to be helping her out like this." She grinned. "I kind of wish my girl would do the same thing." Cera opened her mouth. "And no, "guarding" the jewelry doesn't count." The blond spawn was really pouting now.
"Ah, thank you!" The two went inside, and Cera quickly forgot what she was so angry about. It just smelt so good in there.

((You don't have to apologize ^___^ Health is first priority <3 I hope you feel better soon!))
"Lulu is very happy to meet you two." Luska replied as her smile widened from the compliment the woman gave her. She curiously watches Cera, wondering curiously as to why the other girl has yet to say anything to her.
Her attention quickly shifted back towards Laura and she lets out a small giggle. "Lulu doesn't always help out. Can't do chores very well. But guarding jewelery sounds like fun! 'Cept, mommy probably wouldn't let me guard her's. Lulu would end up wanting to keep them for herself."
She quickly sidesteps to allow Cera and Laura to step into the bakery first before following inside. Luska glances over towards the spawn who appeared to look a lot better now compared to when she was standing outside. "Lulu hopes that Cera likes the cookies. Have to give away as many as I can or they'd get thrown away," Luska says, attempting to strike up a conversation with the blonde.

(( Thanks. I'm not sure, but I think I may have caught something. ))
"Ah... and that's pretty much what happens with Cera here." Cera's face turned pretty red at this point, embarrassed and angry that her mother would talk about things like this while she was right there. "She likes them so she guards them... as her own." Laura laughed a bit at that. She lost many a necklace because of that.
Cera smiled a bit when Luska mentioned cookies again. "Yeah! They were yummy!" She grinned, wondering of Luska had anymore to give away. Laura sighed. "No, Cera... you got to leave some for everyone else." "Still..." Cera thought about it a bit. "Why not eat them yourself?"

"They must be very pretty necklaces~! Lulu also likes pretty things too!" She smiles as her mind was finally filled with various thoughts of ribbons, lace, and the color pink. "...but I'm not allowed to have everything..." At that thought, Luska frowned for a short second.
"I really, really want to eat one too," the child admits. Though she really liked it when others enjoyed the baked sweets from her guardian's bakery, Luska really wanted to enjoy a free cookie just like everyone else. She was working pretty hard, but wasn't allowed to get a single cookie until it was time to close up shop for the day. How unfair!
"Lulu usually gets the left over cookies but only after it's time to go home. Can't take any right now...Lulu was told that wouldn't be nice for everyone else and mommy says sharing is caring." Lightly shrugging but still smiling anyway, Luska says, "But I'm also really happy that Cera likes the cookies!"

Cera nodded. "Very pretty!" Cera looked pretty upset too. "Good. It should be for me." Laura's palm met her face. "Be nice, Cera..."
The spawn was probably told of sharing more than once... but every time that word came through, her brain just turned off. Like it did now. It took her a bit to start up again. "Yeah! The cookies were really good!" Her tail wagged wildly thinking about them, and the scarf on it soon went flying. "... Oops."
"So," Laura said, wanting to change the subject, "You look a lot like my daughter..." Cera tilted her head, thinking about it. She looked a bit like it... she had a tail like her, but still...She didn't look a whole lot like her. "Are..." The older brunette stopped to think about the best way to go about this. "Where did your mother get you?" She hoped that wasn't too inconsiderate, but she didn't really know how else to go about it.

"Where did Lulu's mommy get me...?" The child repeats, pondering over the question for a moment. "Well...." Luska started but it seemed that she had a hard time remembering. It wasn't really like she had completely forgotten. After all, she did recently go back to the facility to to meet one of her 'biological parents'.
"It's a very big building. There were lots of people wearing white coats, kind of like doctors!" The child tilts her head as she tried to recall the name. "Mommy called that place a facility. Lulu thinks the name of it is 'Seven and Seven'..." The child frowns. "No, that doesn't sound right...Seven to Seven...? Seven with Seven...?" The child continues to mutter to herself in hopes of getting the right name out. Finally a light bulb appeared at the top of her head.
"Oh Lulu remembers now! Seven of Seven!" Luska says, giving a rather sage-looking nod of the head as she confirmed it.

Laura was pretty patient, waiting for Lulu's response. She was just happy to learn it was a facility. She really didn't even remember the name very well herself. Seven something seven was close enough, right?
But, it seemed that Lulu was more into details than she was, and she soon learned the name. "What a coincidence!" She finally said. "That's where my daughter is from, too!" Cera blinked, thinking about it. They looked kind of different... but, kind of alike, too.
