This is where Zan and all her Hououzas live... a large purple house hidden by the trees.

Resident Hououza:

Rika
Liberty
Junpei
Klonoa
Mirabelle
Shadda
PostPosted: Mon Dec 12, 2005 2:11 pm

A small speck appeared on the horison, glittering against the bright blue sky. As it approached, the form of Hikaro appeared, the sun glinting off his golden feathers and hair. Curled protectively in his arms was the small stony Hououza, Klonoa, the bringer of peace. Asher had been left in Haku's care, but Hikaro had to go, he had to return with Klonoa.

As they approached the house, Hikaro tilted back his wings, slowing their decent. There were trees everywhere, which would make for a very tricky landing. Banking slightly, he swung down around a tall pine, barely missing the prickly foliage as he dropped even further, needing to curl his wings to avoid hitting any of the branches.

The landing wasn't as graceful as he could have managed, but was by no means rough, either; just a little...awkward. Hikaro let Klonoa down to the ground, staring up at the purple building.

Klonoa shivered violently, his entire marble frame racked with fear, his violet eyes glazed over. He gave one look to Hikaro and murmered, "Please don't leave just yet." Klonoa's eyes softened a little and then he stepped forward. Before his stony foot could get more then two steps down, he was still a few feet from the door when it swung open and a jet black skinned Hououza appeared.

The girl's pink eyes narrowed. Her plume was a dying grey pink, as was her hair. He dress fit her loosely as she swiftly came up to Klonoa eying him. The pink blood drops around her neck shimmered in a weird way against her black skin and the devil number and stars on her leg made her aura absolutely pulse. Her eyes wandered to the golden Hikaro and she snarled and looked back to Klonoa. Then she raised her hand delicately and swung it at him, she didn't even touch him but he went flying backwards into a tree and fell in a slump in shock. "Worthless fool, so you will be the one to bring my demise? The phoenix of Heaven against me the phoenix of the damned? I highly doubt you have a chance... big brother." Her words were spiteful and meant to sting, suddenly a slash appeared under Klonoa's eyes as her words literally sliced him. "Worthless, worthless worthles!!!!" She spun to face Hikaro. "Who in Daddy's name are you? A fricken golden phoenix, my brother's knight in golden armor? Youre one screwy bird you freak." She said glaring at him, she played with a ball of dark fire in her hands and was about to throw it when Klonoa was up and knocked her down suddenly.

"No! No you won't hurt Hikaro!" Klonoa said crying, the blood running from his scar on to his clothing.

Mirabelle slapped him and he fell unconcious. "Don't you dare touch me!" She leaped up and using her dark energy floated to perch silently on the topmost branch of the highest tree.

Klonoa's marble body lay in a bleeding slump a few feet from Hikaro, he opened one eye and then it closed and he fell flat on his face, passed out.

Hikaro stood motionless when Klonoa asked him to stay. There was a rolling foul energy about this house that made the normally unphased Hououza uneasy. The golden phoenix's eyes crossed to the door when Mirabelle made her grand enterance.

Klonoa's light body had flown by him faster than he had the oppurtunity to catch the boy, and Hikaro watched in horror as he bounced off the tree trunk and fell, gored by Mirabelle's very words.

"Who in Daddy's name are you?" She crowed, spitting acidic words his way, "A frickin golden phoenix, my brother's knight in golden armor? You're one screwy bird you freak." She spat, and Hikaro shook his head. Was that supposed to be an insult? Ignoring the fact she self censored her expletives, it still was pretty lame. He'd had mocked her if the situation hadn't been so serious. Weren't devil spawn supposed to attract flies? Her black skin made her look like a corpse, so they wouldn't have a hard time finding her.

Still, Klonoa made it to his feet and tackled Mirabelle, proving he wasn't as weak as the girl had made a point of mentioning. She slapped him and like a light he went out, Mirabelle recoiling and retreating to a perch on the very tree Hikaro had to avoid when landing.

Hikaro glared up at her and picked up Klonoa's bleeding form, his pure energy swaddling Klonoa, reviving him.
The young Hououza was malleable, like clay, something Hikaro was very familiar with, as his father was a master sculptor. Pressing two fingers to the gash wounds on his face and running them along the wound, they sealed with only a line to prove they had once existed.

"Klonoa," Hikaro asked quietly, "What can I do to help?" He'd never tried to fight a demonic little girl before.

Klonoa blinked his eyes open, there violet energy gone, he looked pale, dying. Everything about the marble stone Hououza seemed to be dying, loosing it's sheen, it's spunk, all the energy. Klonoa was on the verge of tears, but he managed to beam up at the golden Hououza. "You're... okay Hikaro! I'm... glad." He coughed, a scene tragic and cliche only it seemed much more real and much less cliche. "I'm gonna fail Hikaro. Everyone will die, it'll be my fault... my fault... she is protected from death by Death, she has the power of the devil... I can't win. It seemed like I could do it before, it seemed like... like I had maybe a chance! But I just can't do it! I'm weak... and this world... although tainted... I can't..." Klonoa looked down, it seemed like a child's dream only it was much more maturely placed and embeded into his heart and soul. The violet and clay colored child put his head in his hands. "I'm sorry, for troubling you... I think perhaps... ..." Klonoa looked up, to where Mirabelle had been, she was gone now. "She's gone..." He averted his eyes. "You... are wasting your time, you should stay away from me, I'll die trying to save this world... but you shouldn't try to help me... no it'll only cause you trouble... a little kid like me..." In his heart he knew the words he was saying, and he knew that he'd come to regret them, but he also knew it was his destiny to say them, as if he was an actor following a script.

Hikaro stopped speaking. He'd tried to convince Klonoa of the opposite before, but it seemed everything he'd said had passed by unnoticed, like a small seed of a wildflower on the wind. It became pointless to repeat himself over and over again. Fine, Klonoa may not believe him, but he'd be damned if he'd listen when he told him to leave. Because if he stayed, he might die, but if Klonoa were right, and Mirabelle brought upon anihhilation of the world, he'd die anyway. So, he'd have to ask, which is the better way to go? If he were going down, he'd go down fighting.

The adult Hououza leaned over Klonoa's reclining body, spreading out his magnificent golden plumage to shade the child in his arms. There it was again, his essence, like tendrils of light, it sought the wounds on Klonoa's body, mended them, fortified him. Hikaro fought to forge a barrior of sunlight to Protect him from the fires of Mirabelle's clutches.

Klonoa was not going to die today, Hikaro wouldn't let him.

"You can't... stop it... stop it!" Klonoa cried out. "There is nothing left of me Hikaro. I have no wounds, only a dying will... I'm a child... I look like one, I act like one... I think like one... I am living on a script written by another... this is all a play for his amusement... just so the devil would no longer trouble him. Mirabelle is my curse... and alone I will contain her, I won't involve you Hikaro. You're my only friend." It felt good, the young marble boy looked upon the golden plumage of the older Hououza. He was like a big brother to him, only Klonoa would rather die protecting his brother then die protecting the world in fact. Klonoa paused in his rants and discomfort. "You said once... just a few minutes ago... you told me you thought I could stop her... do you still say that now? Do you still want to help me?"
PostPosted: Mon Dec 12, 2005 7:25 pm

Hikaro's nose crinkled as Klonoa continued to protest his assistance, the marble phoenix resisting his energy and making his task difficult. He wanted to shout at Klonoa, if only it would make him listen. Klonoa was a child, and shouldn't get down on himself for that.

"Every script can be rewritten." He said quietly, during one of the many pauses in Klonoa's speach. Whether or not he wanted to be, Hikaro was just as involved in this as Klonoa was, and his leaving would not change anything.

"You said once... just a few minutes ago... you told me you thought I could stop her... do you still say that now? Do you still want to help me?"
Klonoa asked, the light returning just a little to his eyes, as though he were only now finally accepting Hikaro's word for what it was. A promise, an oath, the truth, if nothing else.

"More so now than ever before, I will be beside you. Even after we have fallen, I will rise again with you until we defeat her. And if fate has decided I will never walk the good earth again after today, then I will still remain where I can see you, wherever you may go. I swear it." Hikaro said, folding back his shield of golden feathers to let Klonoa look up to the sky above them, the light filtering down in dappled patterns through the trees.
He'd die to keep his word.

((Okay before I burst.... OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 4laugh 4laugh 4laugh 4laugh 4laugh 4laugh 4laugh Okay I'm good... and also... *glomp-tackles Chegrin* I love the way you RP... ^.^ Also also also... page like 212-213... on one of those pages is what I intend to happen... this isn't a one day thing... Hikaro and Klonoa will be spending a lot of time together it seems.... aw how cute!!! Precious lil Klonoa... *goes on and on while replying*))

Klonoa wanted to embrace the golden plumed Hououza but he refrained from doing so. Klonoa didn't have anyone like him, his mom was his mom but she was terrified of Mirabelle. Everyone in his house was, and he had always said he'd take care of Bella, but what he truly wanted was someone to help him. He wanted someone like Hikaro to be his big brother, to guide him, to be with him and help him. But Hikaro was going above and beyond everything Klonoa wished for, here Hikaro was saying, he was saying he'd stay with Klonoa to death if that's what needed to happen. He murmered Hikaro's words lightly, testing them upon his also violet tongue, "Every script can be rewritten." Louder he said. "So let's rewrite mine."

((*chuckles quietly as he's glomped upon.* I try. It's unfortunate what's going to happen to Zaner. It's too bad she isn't a phoenix, because when Phoenix of legend are slain, they revert into eggs gathering energy until the are reborn once again.))

A smile crossed Hikaro's lips when Klonoa's words echoed his own. That was the confidence Klonoa needed, there were the words he needed to chant to regain the stregnth in his heart the evil spawned she-devil robbed of him, as she had robbed his innocence and childhood. But now was Klonoa's chance to reclaim what was taken. Hikaro lifted Klonoa in his arms, standing tall, and gingerly setting Klonoa once again on his feet.

Hikaro stepped into place, slightly behind and to the side of his friend, his ally. Like a guardian he stood, yellow eyes watchful. Somewhere during their talk Mirabelle had abandoned her perch on the tree, and could be anywhere planning an attack. The woods still shivered with the malicious energy, she tainted this place.

((You never know... we'll see what Death allows.... he does come personally to take all wizards away so ... yes. But I'm hoping to bring Zan back in some way shape or form... probably as a hououza... I'm thinking that if I find a pet I really really love I'll have Death embede her soul into that thing... although the pet will need to start off as some kind of object... like a feather for example... we'll see... it depends on the kind of pet I wanna use for it. ^.^))

Klonoa sensed his tension and looked around and then his deep purple eyes fell upon the golden sunlight colored Hikaro. "She's not here anymore, probably gone to test her powers on individuals, right now I can't follow her... maybe we should go inside. Sis may have some ideas." Klonoa started towards the door, "If' you'll stay that is..."

((Did I mention I have a petshop? XD User Image
Although we don't sell female pets. *shrugs*

I was wondering about what might happen to Zaner if you bought one of my pets, because they're codependant on their owner for the duration of their lives. So if she made a pact with death that he could take her when all of her pets were capable of fending for themselves, what would he do with one who would ALWAYS rely on Zaner for survival? Anyway, i'm just musing.))

Hikaro blinked, he hadn't noticed she had left completely. Her energy was so strong still it felt as though she were still around. He folded his arms, looking down to the violet hououza with honey colored eyes.
Was he jesting? If he'd stay, that is. Hikaro wouldn't dare leave until he was sure Klonoa was safe, and had the feeling that would never happen while Mirabelle was still loose.

The taller hououza followed Klonoa to the door, a faint smile on his lips.
"If I wasn't going to leave before, I certainly am not now." He said, folding his wings into a less imposing smaller area behind him. He reached out and gently mussed Klonoa's hair.
"I'm curious to learn what ideas your sister may have."

((I was thinking about that too... I get pet's faster then Death can count... but... soon... soon most of them will be able to fend for themselves... but... here's the thing, on my birthday if I win a contest I entered I'll get a custom pet ... this custom pet *should I recieve it* will be the thing I'll place my soul into, ironically it's called a Soul Kin... if I don't get it, I intend to place my soul into one of those anyway, meanng I'll need to buy one... unless I can find an uber shmexy anthro rp pet to put my soul in...

No offense... I dun like rabbits... the art scares me... >.< I'd rather not have a pet like that... it'd become far too tedious...))

"You're like my big brother Hikaro!" Klonoa said laughing. It felt good to laugh, and the child decided, hey if I'm gonna rewrite my destiny then I'm gonna laugh like I used to. It made Klonoa happier to know that he was protected and that he could go on being himself, go on with his childish innocence and go on teaching things. Perhaps it wasn't by force or strength he'd beat Mirabelle, perhaps it was will of the heart and mind. Klonoa just laughed more and opened the door to go inside. "I think everyone is pretty much out except for all of us Hououza upstairs..."
PostPosted: Tue Dec 13, 2005 4:33 pm

((What's scary about the artwork? *Is curious so he can improve his shop* Or is it just because you don't like rabbits in general?))

The entire situation seemed surreal, like nothing at all had happened. It was almost as though there wasn't a hell spawn girl trying to annihilate everything, and Klonoa and he were just spending an easy afternoon together. Klonoa was just laughing away, the tension melting like ice cream on a skillet.

"Your new house is very big." He commented idly, smiling that Klonoa thought of him as a big brother.

((Personally, to my taste, please don't take offense... they look too vicious and rough edged.))

Klonoa nodded, "Yes, I know. Momma said it was necessary and she also was able to because her new book is selling really well... it's a book about me and Mirabelle." Klonoa said smiling as he walked down the main hallway lightly, his feet making barely any noise as he started to delicately ascend the stairs. "All the Hououza share the upstairs."
