The land is ruled by darkness, blood and death. Evil abounds demons, werewolves, vampires and all sorts of evil roam freely through the land. Few have the courage to stand up against these deadly foes. The few that do are the hunters they either formed small bands or they work alone. While most hunt for bounty and fame there are a few which hunt for their god. These are the paladins noble warriors from religeous orders crusading to rid the land of evil once and for all....and they do it for free the only reward these highly moral people need is the sense of duty fulfilled. Most hunters however are not so noble they take whatever jobs they want here and there and are rather a motley crew of military wash outs, mercanaries, assasins and general rough necks. There are also those who stand on the fence some choose evil and some choose good. These are the witchs, warlocks and wizards magic users who gave up their souls to the mythic and anceint arts. The forces of evil are powereful names that are whipspered and make the blood run cold. Vampires the damned who drink human blood to sustain their own wretched existance. Werewolves were humans once now they can choose to take the form of a wolf (not just when there is a full moon) and search for their favprite food: raw meat and fresh blood. There are demons by the hundreds all of various levels and types of powers. These are just a few of the creatures that you have to contend with if you choose to be a hunter. The powerful monsters useually have ghouls and lesser monsters as minons to do their bidding making hunting them that much more dangerous. There are also mythic creatures here that can be good or evil dragons, hippogriffs, pegasi, etc.The animals can be kept as companions but be careful they are sentient and kill when offended.

Grania Tréigthe Grania had just arrived in the city of Valonbray, it was a prosperous city on the coast of the western sea. She had just finished a mission in Laria she had killed a wozzie demon that had been killing anyone who had entered the woods to the west of town, mostly curious children and foolish young men with more bravado than brains...paying for their stupidity with their lives. She had eventually triumphed but she was rather worse for ware the creture had killed her horse Brego. This forced her to make the long journey over frozen and rugged terrain on foot. When she arrived at Valonbray she could barely stand she was exhausted and her wounds had weakened her. Grania walked to the shipping district and entered a tavern and inn called the Sword and Shield, it was a cheap in the tavern being filled with routy sailors, travlers, merchants and gamblers playing darts cards and other games, fights about cheating. There were women of ill repute plying their trade focusing on the men who were most drunk as targets to rob, or the men who seemed to have the most cash to show a good time. As always Grania walked by them without being notiched she was only five feet tall and rather lithe most would say skinny because they could not see her muscle tone. Grania was covered with blood and the dust of the road, making her look even more horrid, many in the tavern even assumed she was a young boy. As she walked up the stairs she called for a bath, once the man who owned the tavern and inn had filled the tub with hot water and gave her soap she dismissed him. As Grania started to take of her armour, and peel off her cloths and pulled off her boots her wounds became more apparent. Grania had taken steps so there was no infection. She took of the old bandages and just dropped them on the floor. The wounds started to open a little as she washed the blood and mud from her body, her skin took on its deathly pale color and her coppery red hair shone brightly again. By the time she finished her bath the water that had once been clear was now murky. Grania quickly towled off and threw her ruined clothes and old bandages in the small fire place that kept the winters chill out of her tiny room. Though exhausted she was still cautious she made it look like she was sleeping in her bed but insteda she slept in a corner by the fireplace. As always the nightmares of her burnign farm and slaughtered vampire entered her consiousness and she tossed and turned reliving the day her life changed forever....the day the vamprie came and slaughtered her family.

Hasu By the small inland sea east of Valenbray stood the mighty Hasu, complete in her beauty of a Canna flower. In this form she was 5 feet high, 2 inches thick of dense green stem. Her petals were large and of the deepest green, shaped like the palms tree leaves only much smaller. Her head was as a giant flower: red and orange with stamens poking out as if ready for pollenation.
A large man was walking her way as if to pluck her for a beautiful women in which to woo and seduce. He was a brutish man, and how he would ever come to appreciate any beauty at all is unfathomable. He was 340 pounds, 7 feet 4 inches, long blond hair bound in a ponytail and clad was he in shining steel gothic armor of the goths of germany. How he wandered all this way hundreds of miles away was beyond her. But all she knew at this moment was that he was right thiere in front of her, smelling her. The man said to himself, What is a flower doing here in such cold? Surely this flower should have died a month ago... Hasu's petal stransformed into her spikey arms and her clawed hands latched onto the giant man's face. Blue and purple swirling light flickered and gloweed around the man. He struggled so hard, so desperate was he to escape, but he was so weak compared to Hasu. He pulled out his sword and looped off one of Hasu's arms, but the other arm crushed his head just enough that he reflexably dropped his weapon. Hasu had him. The light continued to swirl around the man. Only 15 seconds later and he dropped to the ground. He was a wrinkled, shriveled prune, drained of his lifeforce. Such pretty armor, maybe someone will have more use for it than he did.
Hasu transformed into her humanoid form. Her arm was back already, her feeding healed her completely. She was revitalized, yet she never felt satisfied. She wanted more. More and more and more. Her near 4,000 years of life wasnothing more than a feeding frenzy slowly spiraling out of control. She walked on her green and white legs, somewhat human looking, yet still not human at all. Naked but covered in her plant like body, she walked westward to Valenbray for more food. She was always hungry.

Grania Tréigthe Grania watched in amusment and followed a few paces behind as the rogues boated to each other partly out of bravado and party trying to build their confidence about attacking the man in plate. They things they were going to do souded dreadful but Grania doubted very much that they would try any such thing, to her it seemed to add to his wounded pride and flesh wounds that the man gave him. The rouge would now also have to bury the three friends he had sent out after the one who had hurt him. Grania did not reakize that her wound in her shoulder had opened up again, a small trickle of crimson started to seep through her armour and down her arm. She did not feel pain like most people, she felt pain true enough but her nerves seemed much less sensative than others. Either that or growing up in a world where she had to fight for daily survival and food and getting kicked in the teeth all the tim had simply made her into stone. THe rouges did not dissapoint Grania for in no time at all they had the armoured man in sight. Two of them started running off the side streets to the right and the left while the largest of the men who was one of the largest men Grania had ever seen. He was tall and had a thin layer of fat over his huge and bulging muscles. He had the smell of charcoal and sulfur. Grania guessed that he must also be one of the cities black smiths. The man reaked of mutton and ale. Grania watched in amusment as the three men closed in on their prey. Grania hoped the show would be good, but it probably would not last long, from the whispers she heard in the tavern as she left he had once been in the military and now he was travling as a hired blade...as such she was sure that he could tell her where a hunter might find a job or two. But as ever the first order of buisness remained to get a new mount, she would nead a large mount capable of bearing an armoured rider and her gear. Depending on the mission it may even have to bear a seond rider. Hopefully this would be an easy task she had 600 gold pieces left from the bounty she recieved for killing that Wozzie. Good thing to ot had been costly she lost all her gear, her horse and nearly her life. The two men from the city gaurd who led her to the forest and the demons lair had turned tail and fled when they heard the creatures hissing roar. They had hit on her and jived her about looking like a little boy, about her scars, and ho they would "protect her" from they pitance of a demon. She had remained silent the whole time resisting the uge to both ask them why they had not killed the creature if it was so pathetic and the urge to cut their useless heads from their shoulders. The cowards were embarrased but to her bitter angry they were not kicked out of the gaurdof een demoted after collecting her fee she left the demons body in the town gaurds practice ground, so all could see the terrifying demons real form and take careful notes of the discrepancy between the real creature and the gaurds story. The veins in Granias face bulged with nanger her heart beat harder and her wound bleed faster but, with all her layers she bundled on against the winters bite she could not feel it.

Yas sat in his cold throne he crafted himself, focusing on the sounds from outside. He walked into one of the guard towers overlooking the mountains around his castle and leaned on a rampart viewing the area he claimed as his, and he grunted softly at what he saw. hundreds of creatures. in 'HIS' land, how did they get here, and what are they? He called one of his animated snowmen to collect one, and waited until it returned.
The snow being came back with a small creature, with dark, thick skin and red eyes it looked menacing as it clawed the air. Yas held the creature away from himself and began concentrating his powers on it, its body movement slowed along with its heartbeat, as a thin layer of frost was made on the surface of the creature, it was alive, just in hibernation.
Yas reluctantly knew what he had to do, the creatures were slow getting to the secluded parts of the world, and so he needed information on them from more occupied parts. He walked through the frozen halls listening to his own footsteps on the cold icy floors, and arrived at his dock, he boarded the massive ship made of mystic ice and turned to look at his pride and joy, his kingdom, his castle which he created by himself, it took hundreds of years, but now it was his, and it would take a lot more than a few creatures to harm it. besides, he had an army of snow men, and ice beings, they could hold down the castle that only he and they lived in, even though they were his creations and were not actually alive.
Yas motioned his hand and the animated crew on the boat set off to the nearest harbor large enough to make yas happy, Valonbray.
