No-Name: *perks at the name “No-Name”, wondering why he was always called it*
Demi: *notices the bobtail from the other day and perks her ears up, cups her hands around her mouth* HEY! *waves to him, and quickly bounds over*
No-Name: *ears pull back at the loud sound, recognizing the feisty girl from before - and also remembering the ensuing episode of miscommunication afterwards; sheepishly lowers his gaze*
Demi: *slows as she approaches him and puts her hands on her hips, tilting her head at his avoidance* Hey, what's wrong? *bends over at the waist, attempting to meet his eyes* Hello? Mr. bobtail?
No-Name: *That was a different name - but was it better? Lifts his head but turns his gaze to the side, as if engrossed in the pile of accumulating snow* Mih-stur-Bob-tail?
Demi: *straightens and flicks her tail* ...What was that? Did... you just say something I could understand? *crouches down where she is and stares at him hard* Hmm... It was strange, but I heard you! Say Demi! That's my name!
No-Name: *Her excitement was enough to grab his attention again. More unintelligible exclamations - all from saying those two words? What would happen if he tried again?* Mih-stur-Bob-tail? *blinks*
Demi: Huh... *both ears flop to the side as he merely repeats the same thing again* Well... So perhaps you weren't understanding me after all.. Okay look! *waves hands in front of her and then presses both to her chest* DEMI! Say, DEMI. I am DEMI. *perks her ears forward*
No-Name: *At a shout? This one liked to do so a lot* DEH-MEE. DEHMEE. I AM DEHMEE. *Maybe this culture was hard of hearing . . .*
Demi: *nods as he gets the word right, then starts giggling* No no... You're not Demi... I'm Demi! Hmm... *points to the tom* You. Mr. Bobtail... or whatever your real name is... *then points to herself* I'm Demi.
No-Name: *Just like "Taelur" then; the gestures were what she had done too* Dehmee. *nods, points to self* Mihstur Bobtail. Derety. De-Dumo. De-Edo.
Demi: *smiles delightedly and claps her hands* Yes! Well... I don't really know what that last bit was, but you seem to have the idea! *flashes the bobtail a thumbs up* Good Job!
No-Name: *A Smile, a quick sound, bright tone - all good signs. Though he was curious about that last gesture. Mimics the thumbs up with several owlish blinks, having no idea what it meant* Good . . . job?
Demi: *giggles and nods* Yes! Good job! It's... um... when you do something right. *thinks for a moment and then reaches over uncertainly to pat his head gently* Good.
No-Name: *ears twitch downward, for some reason comforted by the action of being pet* Good job is good. *thumbs up again* Dehmee is good?
Demi: *considers that with a smirk and nods* Yes, usually anyway. Hmm. You haven't been around here for long, have you? Where do you sleep? *tilts head at him*
No-Name: *again copies her movement, tilting his head in response* Sleep? *tilts it the other way* This 'sleep"?
Demi: Oops! *straightens, realizing she was being careless for a moment, but giggles at him anyway and shakes her head* No, that's not sleep! *thinks for a moment and backs away from him, curling up into a ball and putting her head on her forepaws, closing her eyes as she did so* Sleep. This is sleep.
No-Name: *She enjoyed giggling a lot, he observed. Now, a new movement to the same word.* Sleep? *nods to show he understands, sitting down and placing his head on his forepaws as well, eyes closed* Mihstur Bobtail. Sleep. Good job?
Demi: *opens her eyes and looks over at the tomcat with a smile, wondering if he really understood* Yes, good job! *sits up and looks off toward the city, come to think of it, she met him on the outskirts the last time too* Hey, do you ever go into town, Mister Bobtail? *points at the forest of tall buildings* Do you go there? Ikebukuro.
No-Name: Go . . . there? *points as well, following his own paw with his eyes to the strange non-jungle area where the strange scents and sounds came from. Appears a little apprehensive at first, though it was true he had attempted once or twice to enter the city, so he bobs his head in the affirmative* Learn . . . learning . . . listening to.
Demi: Oh good! Want to go with me? *stands and holds out her hand to him* I'll help you learn!
No-Name: Learn? *blinks again, wondering at the offer's reasoning. Why would she want to help? Old suspicions rise at being led into some trap, and his eyes narrow*
Demi: *blinks wide eyes at the suddenly apprehensive cat and looks at her offered paw* Erm... I think you somehow got the wrong message... *puts a hand on her hip and thinks. It would be easier to teach him about this town if he were actually in it, but getting him there seemed to be a bit harder. Where would she take him anyway?* Well, I guess you don't have to hold my hand if you don't want to, but I'm going in there. *glances back at the still-glaring tom and smiles* I'm a little hungry... and my home is in there.
No-Name: *doesn't understand any of that except for the words "hungry" and "home", which in conjunction didn't sound too terrible . . . A soft rumble from his throat as he replies* Home good. Hungry . . . *What was the opposite of good again in this tongue?* Hungry nice?
Demi: Hmm? *blinks at him, pleased at least that he was talking again* Yes. Although... Hungry is not good. Bad. Hungry leads to a not nice Demi. *smiles jokingly at the tom*
No-Name: Not. Good. Bad . . . *If bad wasn't good, why did she smile? So strange.* Hungry not . . . nice. *His tongue still had to work around the syllables, making them thick and awkward* Food home?
Demi: *nods* Hungry is not nice. There is food at my home. *thinks about how to ask his preference of food, but isn't sure he'd understand either way* Uhm... Let's see... Do you.. Like to eat fish, Mr. Bobtail?
No-Name: *perks at the word* Fish? Fish, no. *bobs his head; apparantly he had gotten "yes" and "no" mixed up* Fish good.
Demi: *giggles again* So, I take that as a yes then. *nods to herself* right then, it's settled. You're going to come home with me, alright? We'll have fish, then we'll get you comfortable, then we can explore a little. *pauses in her listing, bronze eyes sliding over to the foreign cat's face* Oh, right, you won't understand what I'm saying... okay.. Mr. Bobtail, come to Demi's home, eat fish, learn. Okay?
No-Name: Fish good, no. *nods again* Mihstur Bobtail. Eat. K'xudb yei, Dehmee. *stands, ready to follow*
Demi: *smiles excitedly, wiggling her short tail* Alright! Let's go! *begins to lead the way, glancing over at him with a knowing chuckle* oh, and it's 'fish good, yes.' Mr. Bobtail. Yes is good, no is bad.
No-Name: Yes is good, no is bad. *nods again* Yes is good, no is bad. Yes is good, no is bad . . . *repeats several more times as they head off*
