Need a place to test your strength against another? Come to the training field! Here you may practice attacks and battle methods without harming the guild, for there is a protective barrier around the enclosure.

Cael

Squaring off against a straw training dummy, Cael frowned a little and dropped down on all fours, focusing his electrical energy together with Charge. Once he'd gathered up a fair amount of power, his frown deepened as he moved the energy through his body to his tail, where it built up with sparks crackling around as though protesting being pressed all together in such a small space. And now, when he started up an Iron Tail, the sparks subsided as though the move was sealing the electricity in his tail, causing the usual silver glow of the attack to turn golden, and with concern that he wouldn't be able to hold it for long the Pichu dashed forward as fast as he could go towards the dummy, leaping into the air when he got close and flipping to build up some extra momentum. He brought down the electrified Iron Tail hard on the dummy, tearing right through it and singing the edges where it was ripped, then once he landed he surveyed his handiwork and grinned, folding his arms across his chest.
Ha, next time that stupid Moon Guild Houndoom tried making a snack outta him, she'd be getting a mouthful of surprise. Though, he could probably make the move a little better, even if it did mean wasting a few more dummies... Eh, what did he care anyway, it wasn't his job to worry about how much equipment the Guild had, he could do what he wanted out here.

Amani

Two tiny ears poked up from behind one of the destroyed dummies.
Two little paws then appeared on top of the dummy, seemingly struggling with something.
Amani then pulled himself up, crawling on top of the dummy.
He looked at the older Pichu and smiled.
"Hewwo der!" He squeaked cheerfully.

Busy slashing and burning still more dummies, it took a moment for Cael to realize there was another pokemon in the field, and he turned in mild surprise to see another little Pichu sitting on top of one of the dummies he'd destroyed. Huh, that wasn't the kid with the goggles from that fight with the Moon Guild; must be some new guy. "Um... hi." he said uncertainly, waving a little. He wasn't really sure what else to say, he'd never been good with small kids...

The baby Pichu giggled and waved back to Cael.
"Ahm Amani!" He said, tilting forward and sliding off the dummy.
"You're stwooooooong!" He then exclaimed, pointing a tiny paw at the older Pichu.
Amani smiled and turned around, facing the grounded dummy.
"Ah wanna be stwong, too!" He declared.
The little Pichu then began to punch the dummy lightly with his little paws, not really knowing what he was doing.

Amani... yeah, couldn't say he'd met or heard of anyone by that name here before. But hey, he had to admit after the tiny Pichu's announcements that he kind of liked this kid, however shallow it may be to like someone just for complimenting you.
Cael tilted his head slightly to one side as he watched Amani start batting at a fallen piece of dummy, pausing thoughtfully for a minute before stepping forward to get the little Pichu's attention. "Well, if that's what you want, practicing attacks might be a good way to start." he remarked, inwardly baffled by his statement. Why in the world was he helping this kid? Was he really that easily pleased? Oh well...

The younger Pichu stopped punching the dead dummy and turned to face Cael, his head cocked to the side.
"Attwacks? But ah dunno any attwacks..." He said sullenly.
His little ears then perked up as he got an idea.
"Mehbeh you couwd teach meh some attwacks!" He squealed excitedly.

Cael blinked and stared silently at little Amani for a moment, having some difficulty wrapping his mind around the idea that the tiny Pichu didn't know any attacks. Man, when he was that age he was already zapping food vendors to make his getaway and Iron Tailing police officers... But then again, thinking about it, he hadn't exactly had a normal childhood, so it probably wasn't as weird as he thought it was.
"Well alright then..." he said, pondering what it would be best to show the tyke first, "Can you try making electricity? Sparks?" He demonstrated briefly, sparks crackling around his cheeks.

Amani blinked.
"Uuuuh... Ewectwicity..." He said to himself.
OH!
RIGHT!
Those yellow zappy things that his kind could make!
"Otay...." He said.
He then clenched his eyes and fists, concentrating and trying as hard as he could to make a spark.
Sadly, nothing happened.
The little Pichu sniffled.
"Ah... can't do it..." He whimpered, close to tears.

Wow, a Pichu without sparks... hadn't seen that one coming. Cael frowned and stared utterly baffled at Amani for a minute, then fidgeted and glanced around awkwardly. "Uh, well okay... we can probably work around that... um... Oh!" His face lit up as an idea came to him, and the Pichu quickly charged up a much smaller amount of electricity than a normal ThunderShock into his tail, then turned and held it out to Amani. This was a typical way his species and it's evolutions exchanged power, so maybe it would work for this kid... "Alright here, touch your tail to mine. Might be able to jumpstart you with some of my electricity..."

Little Amani tilted his head.
"Tail touchin'? MKAY!" He squeaked.
His little tail wagged a little before her turned around, lightly touching it to Cael's tail.
ZZZZZAP!
There was a flash, and Amani's fur was standing on end.
"Wooooah..." He said with a giggle.
There was electricity flickering from his cheeks.

Satisfied with the electricity crackling around Amani, Cael stepped back and charged up a little power of his own before turning to face yet another one of the training dummies. "Okay, now try to build it up some more, then when you think you've got as much as you can handle..." he trailed off, then fired a small bolt of electricity to strike the nearby dummy clean in the center, "Then force it out forward."
This whole teaching experience was kind of weird, but he was a little surprised to find that he didn't mind it nearly as much as he thought he should... huh, well strange things happen every day he supposed...

The tiny Pichu closed his eyes and began to focus on what Cael had instructed him to do.
Suddenly, a large burst of electricity shot from his body, setting a dummy aflame.
Unfortunately, Amani, like most Pichu, had shocked himself in the aftermath, and lay on the floor, crying.

A grin crossed Cael's face as the lightning burst out of Amani and caught the dummy on fire, and he watched the burning with mingled astonishment and pride. "You actually hit it!" he exclaimed, still surprised that the tiny kid had pulled it off, but then when he turned to Amani he flinched at seeing him lying on the ground in tears. What the...? Oh... right... the electricity... he remembered that... "Uh, oh, the backlash right? Yeah, that happens... um... but it'll stop after a while, you just gotta practice... uh..." he said quickly, unable to think of anything truly comforting to say. Dammit, why was he even doing this, he didn't even really like little kids! They were always crying and he didn't know what to do! Like right now for instance...

"Can I do 'dat wiffout huwrting ma'self...?" The Pichu then asked.
