My hands are about average size I guess.. but my fingers are so short! XD I can play chords but that's because I've been playing a long time and play them all the time. Some times all it takes is practice and eventually your fingers will be able to stretch.

Yep; it's probably just the stretching. My friend has very small hands, but hes an excellent classical guitarist.
I've got small hands, and I'm doing just fine.

You could try getting a short scale guitar.

My hands are quite large (though still in proportion to my body - i'm not a small person by any stretch of the imagination). In fact, my fretting hand sometimes cramps up because the neck on my tele is almost too thin for it. I tend to favour fatter Gibson style necks. But with these gigantor hands i have no problems playing a 25.5" scale and still being able to bend the hell out of the strings (though not QUITE to the level of SRV bends.)

I have pretty small hands. But I do my best.
The best would be to have slender fingers.

i got my new accoustic a while ago and that seems easier and so does my dads old fender so i think brownsville might just have a thicker neck or something

DigitalTrowa You could try getting a short scale guitar. There's some really nice ones out there.

Yes definately. Mustangs and Jagmasters both have 24" scales, so if you find Gibson scale length to be a little to large still, go with these. Be warned you WILL have to switch to 10's or 11's (i'd go with 11's because its extra-short scale), or suffer the floppy string syndrome. Cant stand the 'Stang body style though >_>

My hands are huge.... I hate it. I have huge hands, fat and stubby fingers. THe worst combo ever! I can never get my fingers in the position fast enough because they are just so HUGE!!! and stubby. But I make due with what I have. 3nodding You learn to work around it after awhile.
