I have an obsession. Here’s what it is: I want to learn the first name of every CoM member. This thread is for introducing yourself properly. First name. Things you like to do. Dreams. Anyway... My first name is Katherine. I'm 14, I live in Connecticut, and I'm going into 9th Grade. sweatdrop I live with my parents, who are together, and my brother. I like to draw, read, write, play FFX-2, and go on this forum. ^_^ My dream is to go to college, get a degree in something that will probably be useless but fun, and have a job that will allow me to live in a stress free enviroment where I might not make a lot of money, but I don't have to work a lot. Oh yeah, and I'd like a career in writing. whee

Well, my name is Jeff, I'm 18, and I live in Minnesota, and will soon be attending the University of Minnesota at Morris. I have two cats, Georgie and Sammy, and a younger sister and younger brother, who take slightly less precedence than the cats. I work at a movie theatre over the summer, though I've applied for a job at the Morris Library, and hope to work there during college. I also volunteer at my local library when I have free time. I spend about 75% of the rest of my time either on the computer, or reading, or both. I tend to read Sci-fi/Fantasy books, but I also enjoy just reading damn good books. I also watch anime. I love anime, and watch it when I can, though I wouldn't say that I'm truly obsessed. Humm... I suppose you want a picture now, eh? Oooh. Tricky, very tricky. This guild is private, yes, but only in that you have to be a member to post here. Anybody can peek in and...ah, screw it. My LJ icon, me from two years ago when I was be-bearded.  This photo was taken one year ago at a family reunion. I'm the guy with the long hair in the first photo and the short hair in the second. My family tackled me, strapped me down, and chopped my hair off. Looking at the photos, I can see why. I suppose if you wanted to you could browse through the whole root directory and examine all of the files I've uploaded over the last year and a half. Mostly drawings. I used to have some pictures of me on there, but took them off for space. I'll see if I can resurrect some of them. Hi, my name is Weston and I have two accounts on Gaia; Westonian and one alter-ego who I use to scout outside M&R. I'm 22 years of age, attend Iowa State University in the field of Political Science, and live upstairs from my mother. Although, technically the house used to be a duplex, and I pay rent. Don't have quite the same rights as a renter, though. sweatdrop Computers and gaming are my obsession. I love details, and both provide me with more than I could ever want. Fiction, sci-fi and fantasy and comtemporary, holds a particular appeal to me. I'm addicted to plot, and absolutely love to get lost in the story. I haven't sung much or played a musical instrument since I graduated from high school, which is something of a shame since I was pretty good at both. French Horns are just so expensive. $4000 plus. Yeesh. No excuse for the singing, though. I have a pretty severe farmer's tan, and really only work on that when I get out to swing the sword around. Foam padding, mostly, save the PVC core and iron counterweight. Trying to work through some design issues and really trying to find a way to ship one through the mail. I'm about four years overdue on a promise to Ruevian. gonk

Also, I find jpg to be the best image format to use. It doesn't ******** up the pixels and it's compatible with GAIA. wink

I'm [edited out for the safety of sugargliders]. I'm 16 years old. Born on October 13, 1987 in the Captial of South Korea. Child of a Military Man and a Korean Immigrunt. I currently live in Virginia and am about to attend 11th grade. smile
I like to read books on almost anything. Play Video Games, mostly things like Pokemon or Legend of Zelda. Chat online with people on just about anything. Listen to music and attempt to sign along once in a while. I like to do DDR and dance when I'm alone in my room or alone outdoors late at night when I know there is no one watching. I enjoy being outside with nature but mostly after sunset or very early in the morning so that I don't have to worry about Sun burn. whee
I dream of one day finding my niche in the world. Knowing what I want to do with my life. I have wanted to be a young age teacher and then a member of the military when I was younger. Right now I'm toying with the idea of owning a shop. I also hope to start taking better care of myself. So often I swore that I would do this and do that but I keep on forgetting to. sweatdrop

My name is Molly. Clover also works. I’m 17 years old, and I live in rural Pennsylvania with my parents and my dog, Heidi. I have an older sister named Abby who no longer lives with us. In the winter I love to ski. Recently, I’ve taken up horseback riding. I’m currently looking into colleges where I can study English and foreign languages/cultures. This is me: Me is Linnea. Linnea is 22, living on the back end of nowhere in upper Michigan on the salary from two s**t jobs that still don't let her make ends meet. Linnea has to work today. Linnea has to work in...about an hour and she still isn't showered or dressed, nor has she walked the "socially moronic" dog, fed the cats or made her aunt's bed (since she's house sitting until tonight). And most of Linnea's casual friends call her Linn, since a large percentage of people, when faced with the actual pronounciation of "Linnea" stand there with flabbergasted looks on their faces and mumble "Lllllllllll... Liiiiii" for a long time until she says, "Just call me Linn." whee

I'm Deoridhe. I go by Deoridhe Grimsdottir anywhere online, and Wyndi to people who want another name. I'm 28 years old and live in the DC area. I'm the receptionist, officemanager, proposals admin, contracts admin, general admin, mail room admin, and secretary to the President, CEO, and Vice Presidents. I work for a small research and development company; we do lots of government contracts. I aspire to return to school and get a Ph.D. in psychology, which has long been my love. I also aspire to start a magazine (for the woman interested in more than make-up and orgasms), draw a manga, and write several books. I'm a fanfic author and amateur artist. I live with two roommates, one male, one female, both platonic, our three cats (Tadeus is mine, and my roommate has Tai and Rhu), and innumerable fish (I breed guppies, and my roomie1 breeds bettas). I'm addicted to anime and manga and spend entirely too much money on it. I'd list my favorite series, but it would take too long. I'm currently collecting the DVDs for Witch Hunter Robin, and the manga for about half a dozen series, including XXXHolic, Tsubasa, Snowdrop, Demon Ororon, and Rurouni Kenshin. I also cosplay for anime conventions I go to (in fact, most of the pics of me online are of me as Aya - from Weiss Kreutz - specifically portly!Aya, because I am not skinny). I like aspects of Japanese culture, like honorifics (which I use incessantly) and the food, but I don't like the xenophobia and extreme restrictions built in. I'm also a huge fan of Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Star Wars (yes, I like the first two movies), as well as the entire Final Fantasy series of video games, Gauntlet, Mortal Kombat, and a variety of obscure Japanese games that my roommie1 collects. I also sometimes play a virtual Zoo game and Civilization, though I've not had much time lately. I play Dance Dance Revolution for fun and weight loss, and I've been learning to belly dance from video cassettes. I'm Asatru, which means I worship the Norse gods and attempt to recreate a religion consistant with the one our ancestors had when they worshipped them, but in a modern setting and without rejecting novel ideas. I belong to a kindred and meet with them monthly. I also have close ties to the local pagan community. I am a huge fan of anything pretty. If I were a vampire, I'd be a Toreodor.
