Alright so. I'm gettin' serious about loosing weight. I figure the way I can do that best is by keeping a photojournal of my day to day (or as close to that as I can) progress. So here's my first picture. BMI: 63.2 BMI Categories: * Underweight = <18.5 * Normal weight = 18.5-24.9 * Overweight = 25-29.9 * Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater
Day one. Action taken: Walking lots of walking. Potential next step: Cutting back on soda.

Welcome to the guild biggrin Cutting back on soda is a GREAT way to start out losing weight! You can probably lose like 10-15 lbs alone from doing that (over a few months). And it's not as hard as it sounds. Just have a bottle of water with you at all times, and if you're at a restaurant or something, get water instead of soda. Not just because it's better for you, but it's also free! xd
Good luck, you can do it!

You can also have teas, or add a little juice to your water. I like to add some chunks of lemon in my water bottle, makes it more refreshing and less like, well, water mrgreen

I don't like most teas. Though that Lipton citrus tea you can get in a bottle at the convenience markets is really yummy. smile
And yeah cutting back on soda will help me with my weight and with my rent. The problem I'm having is I have NO will power. I'm such a Coke addict. xD

I used to be a coke addict. x_x Do you actually buy soda and bring it home? It's easier to say 'no' once in the supermarket and just not buy it than have it in the pantry and think about it all day.
Best of luck!

Yeah I take home. The problem is that I always get it on the way to work (I have to walk to work so that helps a smudge but not a ton) and I can get 2 for 3 bucks. So i buy two, and i'm set for a couple days. (they're the 1 ltr bottles) and then they just sit in my backpack making them easy to get at cause I always have my backpack with me.
Thanks for the luck wish BTW. ^^

Little Miss Poet Action Taken: Got a tea instead of a soda on the way to work. YES!! YES!! There you go. No bubbly stuff, and you still get your sugar (and bottled tea has less of it than coke anyway).

Little Miss Poet (had to get rid of the perishables today) rofl Well, that's one way to do it. It sounds kinda boring, though -- eating the same thing the whole day. You can try tossing some vegetables on the fry pan -- capsicum and tomato, for example -- and when they're almost cooked, crack an egg over the top. It's actually really yummy.
