 Kai "Life Is Full of Darkness"===========================================
Kai took in a deep breath as he approached the door of the academy. He have heard of this place from the old man and was ordered by the old man to come here when he is ready. Kai wondered why is it that the old man wanted him to come to this place. He smiled though when his memory pulled it self together and he remembered what the old man said. "So, you really want me to become a magician, didn't you?" Kai looked at the academy and wondered whether to really go in or not. He doesn't really want to go in, but at the same time he doesn't want to not follow the old man will. "Fine then, but only this time only." He whispered to himself before pushing the door open and walked inside.
Kai was amazed when he saw the great hall. Never in his life have he seen any thing so huge and big. The academy hall was already bigger than he home in which he lived in with the old man, the one in which have surely burned down by now. Kai looked around for a while, mesmerized by the hugeness and greatness of the place that he forgot the reason in which he came. He shook himself from it though, but only after about several minutes of non blinking staring. "Is any one here?" He asked loudly, not really seeing any one around. His chuckled when his voice echoed down the hall way. "This place is really huge." He said to himself again before placing his hands behind his head and waited for an answer.

Cassandra Skye Bloodthirsty | Witch| Dark Empire | Seductress --------------------
Cassandra walks briskly into the academy, not truly wanting to be here. Get in, learn, get out, she muses. A small drawstring purse is pulled from the low neckline of her bloodred dress, and the lesson fee laid on the large desk in the front of the room. Her long, black hair falls over her shoulder as she takes in the one other student in the room. Small, seemingly albino, weak-looking. Probably a vampire, no real threat, her assessment is quick and concise as she points at him, singling him out and giving no escape. A small smirk forms on Cassie's lips, which most people would merely find amusing. Cassie's smirk, however, is nothing but sadistic as she runs through a mental list of possible tactics she could use to kill him.
"You," Her soprano voice ring through the classroom as she speaks to the boy. "What is the lesson fee to learn all level one Dark spells?" Her question is more of a demand than a request for information. Her long-nailed fingers tap impatiently on the desk, the echoing noise staccato and brisk in the heavy silence. “What do I care if you see the darkest side of my heart? Do you really believe you are able to tame what I have become?”

Kai turned to look at the woman that just walked into the academy. Her long flowing hair reminded him of someone in his past, and he can't help but smiled, a smile in which is rare for it is true and not a forceful smile like those in which he have always use in his life. He admitted to himself that her beauty is those beyond that of a normal person, and he would have been mesmerized by her beauty if he was anyone else. If he was a normal boy or any male really back in the village in which he came, then he would have been thrilled when she called him out, but instead he acted as though he is an idiot, or a naive one, he can't distinguish one from another.
"Me?" He mouthed the word and pointed at himself. He looked left and right, pretending to see if there was anyone else beside him and her there. Already knowing that there was no one else Kai shrugged, answering her question about the fee for learning. He then also acted like a normal boy and smiled at her, this time the smile is a forceful one, but no one could tell that for he have long mastered that smile of his. "I think they have the fee there." He said and pointed at the piece of paper on the desk. "I'm Kai." Kai held out his hand like how the other boy does in his village when they meet a new person, thinking that it is a stupid thing to do but seem like what a normal person would do. He isn't so familiar with what to do next though so instead wait for her to make the next move.

Cassandra stares , confused, at the boy’s outstretched hand. Kai, he said his name was. She resists the urge to roll her eyes at his innocent act, gesturing around the room in one long, sweeping motion.
“Obviously you. There isn’t anyone else here.” Her voice is testy as she calculates the fee in her head. The total to learn all level one dark spells comes to 1,950 shillings, which is 1,450 more than she has. Becoming thoroughly irritated, Cassandra slams 300 shillings onto the desk with a little more force than necessary before stowing the purse back in the bodice of her dress. “My name is Cassandra Skye.” The greeting feels strange, since she has been without human interaction for so long. She refrains from touching the boy, however, trying to avoid any kind of temptation to spill his or anyone's blood. “What do I care if you see the darkest side of my heart? Do you really believe you are able to tame what I have become?”

Kai chuckled helplessly as he watched Cassandra acting tough. He pulled back his hand, feeling somewhat confused since he clearly remember that the other person would do something with the gesture but decided to push that thought away. He came to a conclusion that Cassandra is a newbie, probably just like him. He looked at the paper and to himself calculated that it would take more than half of the amount of money that he is carrying on his body. He wondered why is it that it they charge so much for only tow spell but because of the old man wish Kai reached into his pocket and searched around for the money. While he does that Kai smiled at Cassandra before asking. "So, are you like a rich girl or something?" The way she act and speak make him assumed that she either come from a rich or royal family, or she is just that type of woman.

Cassandra laughs derisively, a look of dark humor coming over her face as she remembers her father’s gambling habits which had ultimately lead to his family’s downfall.
“Is something I’ve said funny to you?” She narrows her crimson eyes before answering his question. ”No.” She replies, keeping her response short and to the point. “What little money I have, I have obtained through hard work. My father had a gambling problem. There is no money left to my family’s name.” She continues tapping her nails on the desk, impatient to begin the lesson. With a sigh, Cassie allows the memories to come back to her, reliving the days of torture and beatings over and over, reliving the sight of her infant brother’s head being removed from his shoulders, reliving the sound of his wailing cries choking off into a sickening gurgle. And all because of his damned gambling, she muses bitterly, her right hand gripping the desk tightly. “What do I care if you see the darkest side of my heart? Do you really believe you are able to tame what I have become?”

Noticing Cassandra impatient, Kai couldn't help but laugh silently in his mind. 'So, gambling father is it.' Kai thought back about a kid back in the village in which he came cross on his journey. That kid family also have a gambling father who sold him and his younger sister for gambling money. Kai felt disgust and somewhat sorry for Cassandra. He does not know what it is like to live a life like that felt somewhat happy or relief that he would never have to live a life like that ever. He could only imagine what she have went through with a father like that, knowing too well what kind of thing those type of people are willing to do for money. Though he quickly pushed that thought and emotion away, wondering how is it that he even came to feel sorry for her. He mentally shrugged before trying to change the subject, just like what the normal kid would do and also said sorry, something in which he does not get at all. "I'm sorry about that. But yeah, so, you're also going to become a student or are you just learning the spell?" He also decided that it is time for him to dig out some information about this Cassandra and maybe learn something in which he can used later on.

Kai walked into the academy, and decided this time, it would be rude to kick down the door. He simply walked in, with his cloak on, the hood down. He was surpressing his strength, and looked like any other E Rank weakling vampire. He hobbled towards the counter slowly, and looked at the spells. He had a bag of money in his hand, obviously filled with money. He had about 50,000 shillings in there. What should he pick? He looked at the others, giving them shy glances and quickly looking away. He would seem like an easy target, and his strength was hidden perfectly. He had been training as an assassin for a while, so he had enough training. He figured, if he was going to train, why not act like a weak little magician?

Cassandra shrugs at Kai’s question, grateful for the change of topics. She sweeps her black hair back from her face as she ponders his question.
“I’m not really sure.” She admits with a noncommittal shrug. “I aim to be a powerful witch. So powerful that people who are weak will shake in their boots while their blood runs cold. I might as well become a student to prepare for that kind of power.” Her voice is cold, aloof, and matter-of-fact as she states her goal for the future, crimson eyes focused on the newcomer. Probably yet another vampire. He’s wearing a cloak, though, meaning he’s hiding something. Threat level: 4/10. Keep an eye on him, she notes mentally, keeping him within her peripheral vision. “What do I care if you see the darkest side of my heart? Do you really believe you are able to tame what I have become?”

Kai ignored the present of the assassin as he walked into the academy. He tried his best to ignore the rudely entrance that the man make and almost failed if it hasn't been for his incompetent in a fight. He knows that he could not win a fight against this opponent and that he might also be killed if he do fight so instead he ignored the man, though he does make a note to himself to watch out for him. Turning his attention back to Cassandra, Kai smiled at her goal. 'Ambitious.' was the word he thought of and could only think of how she was somewhat like him when he was younger. "Mine is to conquer the world." He jokingly said and smiled innocently, or tried to. "Nah, I'm kidding. I don't have a goal, not yet and probably not going to." Kai then wondered whether what he is saying is true or not. He have gotten so used to lying that sometime he lied so well that even he believed that it is the truth. He wondered whether that is something normal or what.

Kai looked at the board. He would wait for the instructor to talk. Instead, he slowly and shyly walked over to the other two there. He wanted to get to know these people, as knowing others in the empire would be beneficial. Maybe he could get some fighting in as well. He looked at them shyly, acting as weak as possible. He was still holding his cash. "H-hey guys. How are you today?" He talked in a timid voice, miles away from his usual one. He liked acting like this. It was a nice change from intimidating people.

Cassandra rolls her eyes, not even bothering to hide the action from the newcomer.
“My goal is to make others suffer, while eradicating those who are Good.” She states coldly, turning to the approaching newcomer. “I am just dandy. Being trapped within a building while waiting for someone who is probably completely incompetent to teach me mediocre spellwork when I could be doing something more productive is precisely how I wished to spend my day when I awoke this morning.” She snaps, her melodious voice dripping with blatant sarcasm. Her fingers resume their tapping on the desk as she seats herself on a desk, crossing her legs and looking around, bored. She dislikes this shy newcomer and resolves to learn what it is he has to hide.

Kai chuckled helplessly, again, at both the newcomer shyness and Cassandra strength. He wondered whether the newcomer is actually shy or not for he is getting a sensation on the back of his neck. The guy shyness truly is good, but to Kai who have been around many shy people and those that acted like they are shy or someone else who is not actually them, he get this kind of sensation when someone is acting. At first he thought about asking whether the dude is actually shy or not but then decided against it. 'If he want to play, I play with him.' Kai thought to himself and chuckled again. "So dude, what's your name mister shy guy?"

Kai looked surprised as the girl began talkign in a very hostile manner. That was going to be a problem, if she got too snippy, he'd kill on the spot. It was teh Dark Empire after all, nobody gave a hoot about the little peasents. On or two randomly disappearing bothered nobody. "Well acting like that is no way to make friends. Maybe if you had a positive outlook on things, life would be easier to handle." Kai was still speaking in his weak voice, but added a scolding tone to it. Maybe if he got this girl fired up, he could have a good fight. And if she kicked the bucket, it wasn't his fault! Kai looekd at the girl. He coudl tell she had good looks, so did that make her a Succubi? If so, she would be dangerous. Kai couldn't label this girl jsut yet.
