.....my sister calls me up and tells me I'm going to be an auntie. whee
Wow.
No matter how many times I say it outloud it sounds strange. lol I can only imagine how my sister must feel....besides the morning sickness and mood swings she'll soon have.
Let my reign of being the cool auntie begin!

Heheh-thanks. Though I wish she could have told me after finals....I can't focus on stuff now because my mind is filled with babies.....
Will it be a boy or girl?
How will our dad take the news?
What to buy her?
Names?
Please lord don't let me be in the delivery room!
When do I get to baby-sit?
And various other thoughts......

Congratz! Being an auntie rock as long as the little bastards are fun :]
I'm a triple auntie myself. One fun b*****d and two adorable girlies.
I'm allowed too call the boy a b*****d. Since he is. Being born outside of marriage and all.

So is this one. *sigh* That's why I worry about my dad's reaction when my sis tells him the news.

Good luck breaking that news to your dad.
But being an auntie would be fun! I don't have any real siblings and if my step-sister doesn't have a kid soon she may not ever.

Oh yeah that's true. Now you'll have to think about all those things. And good luck with telling your dad. I really do hope that goes OK.
hehe. Will you guys leave it a surprise or find out ahead of time from the doctor? ^^

I guess my sister told him...
My folks came and visited me today since they were helping watch some of our younger cousins at an event taking place in the art building. He seemed calm....but said that he needed a drink.
It's up to my sister and her boyfriend I guess on whether to find out the gender.
@ Zizzy-Why may your step-sis not ever have kids if she doesn't do it soon? If you don't mind me asking.

It's fine. She's just getting older. xD My step-dad is old and had kids young. She she's.... 38, I believe. So she's still got time before menopause. Probably not as much as she'd like though.

BABIES! I envy you, I need to find a man with siblings so I can be an aunt... cry if not I suppose I can settle for the title 'aunt' when I become a godmother.

Well it's good that your dad seems to be taking it well :] (Can't imagine reacting badly too it though, I supose it's seen as less of a deal here in Iceland. But then again, my nation is pretty damn lose)
And even if he didnt aprove I bet that would sort of change as soon as he would see the little b*****d after its born. Them darn little b*****d are irresistable I tell you.
Random fact. My dad almost gave me a heart-attack today. He called me all excited and said "Guess what duckie!" and I of course inquired as of what was getting him all excited, (after the ritual complaining-of-the-nickname of course) which he replied with "Your mother went to the doctors yesterday since she's been feeling off lately and wouldnt ya know it...she's pregnant.
I dropped my tea on the floor in shock before I realised it's been like 2 years since my mom went though the whole menopause thing.
But goddamnit those were the most frightening few seconds of my life. D=
