Dog Name: ma-buru Name Meaning/Why you picked this name: Marble in japanese Lifestyle: pet Gender: Female BRIEF History: Partially blind in one eye, she was the last of her litter to go. She didnt meet any show standards or seem as avid to hunt as her sibblings, but atlast did go to a home. She was to be the birthday present for a small 3 year old. Not the best gift for one so young, when she got there she was subjected to much ear and tail pulling. ontop of that, whenever she tried to get away, the thing just followed her to continue the torture. And when she tried to defend herself she would be kicked outside! Was this the life for her? No. Dispite what she had to endure in this misserable place, she knew she would find someway to get out. She wanted something more, though she did not know what that was yet Personality: Slightly timid, but willing to stand up for herself. Has a fiery heart just waiting to be released.

Dog Name: Topaz Name Meaning/Why you picked this name: Named after a stone Lifestyle: Stray Gender: Male History: Originally was bred and trained to run lure coursing. Hating his owner for how he was treated, he never ran. No matter how hard he was trained, he would sit down on the starting line and refuse to chase dispite his strong desire to do what came naturally. Each time he would be dragged home, beatten for his refusal before being shoved into a cage much to small for him. After repeating this for over a year the owner became tired of the dog. Yes, he could have been taken to the shelter, but the owner instead took him out to the woods, and tied him out to either waste away or be taken away by some preditor. After much fighting and squirming, it took him days to worm his way out of his collar, mostly the lack of food helped and he was free. If you could call it that, but it was more free then he had ever been. Not knowing how to hunt, he found his way back into town to roam the streets for scraps of food.

Echo Backstory: Hood had hated Echo for as long as he could remember, and he was pretty sure she hated him too. So how was it that they were now standing side by side, sharing a meal? Ever since that damned female had caught a Frisbee meant for him he hadn’t been able to forgive her. He had been tolerant up until that point, but that was merely because her human was one of the few that would even speak to his own, the only human she ever invited over. Of course the reason they were so close was due to the close proximity within which they lived, or at least that’s what Hood had assumed. Unfortunately it was because of this that on a daily basis he would have to put up with her bragging about how she was well bred, smirking as she mentioned that he was originally a low born stray picked up at the pound, whereas she came from a first class breeder. Every morning during his daily walk he had the pleasure of seeing her awful face, but now that they were stuck in the same situation it was hard for him to think of her that way, after all, she didn’t have to share her dinner. Homeless, that’s what you’d call what they had become, but some how that horrible incident had made it easier for them to sympathize with each other, though it didn’t stop the competition between them. And it was all thanks to that fire that killed their humans…
