Cheer Bear hums to herself as she putters about the kitchen doing her usual, cooking and cleaning. She had taken up the tasks shortly after arriving in the area, knowing that not everyone that wandered in and out of the shop knew or bothered to learn how to cook. She also got great joy out of seeing people happy, and, if eating food made them happy, she was more than willing to comply. She was already use to cooking large amounts of food, hopefully enough to feed the three young men that she'd met during her time here, although, where Goku and Vegeta were concerned, one could never really tell how much food would be enough. "It must be hard, training all that time and not having time to eat properly..." She says softly to herself, checking on the pizzas she had in the oven while stirring the large pot of mac-n-cheese on the stove.

Ever since arriving at the pound with his royal counterpart, it has pretty much been the same routine. Training, eating, and sleeping, every day, on and on. Now Goku didn't mind doing these things, especially the eating part, but the Saiya-jin saw no point in training twenty-four/seven with no threats to the world. But there was no arguing with Vegeta.
Now, life at the pound wasn't too bad, especially after meeting Cheer Bear. Yes, she may cook lots of food for him and Vegeta, but mostly, she was a new face... not only having to hang out the regal Saiya-jin all the time. She actually gave him conversations, rather than long speeches about honor, pride, power, and other stuff that he wasn't really listening to.
Today, after a lot of begging and pleading, Goku managed to persuade the pissy prince to let him go to the beach. After a brief celebration and finishing getting everything he needed for the trip, he started to gather them at the front door of the pound for easy access when he was ready to leave. As he did this, he heard a humming coming from the kitchen. Curious and hoping, he peeked in. His tail swished when he saw Cheer and walked into the kitchen. "Hey Cheer!"
[I don't remember either, so I just used Goku. We can add more if you wish.]

Cheer blinks and looks up at the familiar voice, a grin on her face. "Hi Goku! You sure look excited today. Something good happen?" She asks, glad to see one of her friends in a good mood, not that she'd ever seen Goku himself in a bad mood, but still, it made her feel good to see smiling faces.

When Cheer had asked him is something had happened, the Saiya-jin seemed to beam even more. Walking to where she was, he looked to the food she was preparing for a moment before looking back to her. "Yeah! Vegeta is letting me go to the beach and I wanted to invite you!"

Cheer grins a bit brighter, noticing Goku seemed even happier when she asked him if anything had happened. She blinks quickly for a moment as he mentions the beach. "Really? That's so great that he's not forcing you to train today." She blinks again, tapping her chin in thought, then grins and nods. In all honesty, she didn't really think she could ever say no to anything Goku asked her to do. Vegeta, maybe, but that's because he was a bit too bossy, but for Goku, she'd say yes every time. "Sure I'll go with you Goku. Thank you for inviting me. Let me just go get some things together and I'll be right back."

Goku continued to sniff at the food Cheer made, doing his best to resist stuffing his face with it. He turned to her and nodded in agreement to her statement about not being forced to train. "I know! It took a lot of pleading and bargaining though," he replied softly. When she agreed to join him, he nearly jumped through the roof. "Really?! Wow, that's great! You're very welcome and sure thing!"

Cheer smiles at how happy Goku was at her agreeing to go with him, then quickly heads up to her room to change into proper beach attire, a swimsuit and shorts, with a straw hat and sunglasses, then packs a towel and some sun screen, before heading back downstairs and grabbing a small ball they could play with if they wished. She walks back into the kitchen and grins at Goku's restraint in keeping from stuffing his face. "Oh? What kind of bargaining?" She frowns slightly, hoping that the bargains he'd made with the Prince wouldn't be something that would get him or someone else hurt.

The Saiya-jin waited patiently for Cheer to go and get her things she needed for the trip of the beach. Unfortunately, he couldn't hold himself back and snuck a piece of food that she cooked just as she returned. Finishing it off, he turned and faced her, licking his fingers clean. At her question, he frowned a bit. "He said that I had to spar with him, with no complaints, for a week." He huffed.

Cheer frowns at that, then shakes her head. "That's hardly a fair bargain. But... Since he is who he is, I guess we should make the best of the day that we can, hrm? Try to pack as much fun into it as we can. If I were a more violent type person, I would probably raise many objections to him on how he treats you." She walks over and carefully starts packing a rather large picnic basket with various food items that she'd cooked. "So, once we get to the beach, was there anything you wanted to do first, or should we just play it by ear?" She says, plastering a cheery grin on her face to make it seem like she was ok with the bargain now. Even if she wasn't ok with it, she didn't want to bring Goku's mood down further with her thoughts.

At her comment, he shrugged. "It's not that I hate training or anything. I actually enjoy training and getting stronger, so it's not too much of a problem for me." He replied, tail flicking lightly. He watched her pack the picnic basket with different types of food. He would have to restrain himself from eating it on the way to the beach. Well, if he used Instant Transmission, that wouldn't be a problem. The problem would be saving some for Cheer, but, he would cross that bridge when he gets to it. At her question, he gave another shrug. "We can play it by ear... unless there's something you want to do when we get there?" He asked, not quite registering that she was upset.

Cheer thinks for a moment, then shakes her head. "Playing it by ear sounds fine to me." She says, giving him another smile and finishes packing the basket. "Do you have everything you think you might need for the beach?"

"That's great." He exclaimed, hovering around her as she finished packing the picnic basket. His tail swished more eagerly the closer she got to finishing. At her question, he nodded. "Yep! It's all near the door, waiting for us to go." He thought about the items he gathered and then chuckled awkwardly, "you know, now that I think about it... I might have grabbed too much."

Cheer blinks at that, tilting her head to the side in confusion as she pulls the basket off the table. "Oh? Well, what all did you grab? We can probably pick through it and put what we won't need back. It'll probably make things alot easier on us both, right?" She grins again, waiting for him to lead the way.

When she grabbed the basket from the counter, he went over and offered to help her carry it. It was when she asked what he brought with him that he stopped and thought. He then started to list everything he grabbed and put next to the door. When he finished, he replied, "Do you think we can pick through all that and have time to put the stuff we don't need back and then go to the beach?" He questioned, turning to head out of the kitchen.

She thinks for a moment, then nods. "Maybe, if we move fast, otherwise I could just ask my brother Funshine if he could put what we aren't taking away? He's bored, so it'll give him something to do, for awhile, at least."
