how do you convince your mom to have you go on birth control? Ive talked to her so many times and she just doesnt budge. My boyfriend and i have been talking about this for a month or so and i just cant seem to get her to allow me to. i think i should just bring my best friend to planned parenthood with me and get them there but im not sure.
help? heart thank you to everyone who helped me. i hope she comes around! (:

If you don't mind, was wondering, how old are you? This can be a very big deciding factor for parents.
Also, are you just doing it for sex or no? If you are then that's the reason she won't.
You're going to have to be an adult about this. Also, if ya'll have only been having this talk for a month, then I wouldn't do it. I've been in many relationships and the one I'm in now, has been about 2 and half years. I do believe he is the one but we waited about 4 months to have sex, because we were completely ready.

Ask her if she would rather get you birth control or help you raise a baby. Remind her that you are trying to be safe and responsible but that she is making it harder for you. Tell her that a lack of birth control doesn't keep kids from having sex, it just makes them more likely to get pregnant. Let her know that you want it for your periods too.
If that does not work, get birth control without her. You can go to a clinic like Planned Parenthood or Family Planning to get whatever kind of birth control you need as well as pregnancy tests, paps, STD tests, and whatever else you might need in the future. They won't tell your mom. Even if she calls them and asks if you were there, they'll tell her that they cannot reveal that information. I've always had very good luck with Family Planning. You can also get condoms at the store.

Well if they are for your period then try to bring up that fact. Have research on hand. This will show that you're being an adult about it. Giving you more lenience.
If you're not sure then try just getting condoms in case. This way you will be prepared if anything does happen.
I didn't doubt that you had a foundation of a relationship, I meant how long ya'll have been talking about sex seemed short to me. Sorry about the misunderstanding. Just make sure you're ready.

I agree with what Lorien said. If she won't listen to you, then you can go and get birth control on your own.

it depends on how old you are if ur too young u should know why they said no if ur old enough you should talk to them about it a bit and they might find a reason to say yes
