Hellllllo everyone! My name is Kaela and I'm pretty new to Buddhism. I've been studying at Naropa University which is a Buddhist-inspired, contemplative school in Colorado. I'm having a difficult time with impermanence, and accepting that everything is impermanent without getting emotional. My time at Naropa is ending, and I feel very upset about it... I wonder if anyone can help me deal with this transition into the unknown from an enlightened perspective. heart

I have the same problem when I think about impermanence. Sometimes, I'll start thinking of how eventually my parents will be gone. There's time I'm nearly in tears just thinking about it! But, I think an important lesson to learn from impermanence is to appreciate the things/events/people you have now, and not take any of it for granted.
