The purple haired Brit was pacing back and forth despite the excessively cold office they were currently waiting in. Though it was causing a little whirl of breeze with each brisk stride across the room, it was still the best way she knew to keep warm and to also keep herself from throwing a chair into the wall. She knew it wasn't that long they were waiting for the doctor, but it felt like it was forever with every minute that passed. Curiously and possibly to give herself something else to do, Ebony's grey eyes drifted to the others there.

Cordelia had refused to stay attached to Ebony while she paced like a tiger stuck in a cage and was now situated close to Aphismet, yet on the opposite side from Rivener and most definitely not touching the white headed chef. Being close enough to something warm was fine though she did desperately want to cling to him as the other did, yet she feared what that might do. Not sure for what had started the fight, she did however remember it and was in the current state of mind not to want to go there again if she could help it. Thus the little black Raevan stayed to herself, hiding her face in possible shame behind those onyx locks as best she could.

Rivener was downright miserable, although he had the privilege of pressing himself flatly to his guardian. Aphismet's coat served the dual purpose of keeping the cold off the man's skin and also keeping his own body warmth from escaping, however, so Rivener was gaining a whole lot of nothing from the cuddling. Still, it was better than being far, by himself, isolated.

The ruby eyes glared over at Delia from time to time, making sure the girl didn't touch Aphi. He knew why he'd fought her, and even though his aggressive behavior was lessened now due to the cold, he would still do it again! She had stolen Zul's attention from him! And he'd be damned if he let her steal Aphismet's too! He still recalled how Cordelia's soul had nearly killed the chef before, when it'd been captured... Riv wasn't about to forgive her. She was a Snake in true form!

Aphismet was getting nervous watching Ebony pace like that. She looked about ready to throw a fit. But the white-haired man figured that if he stayed quiet, he'd be a much better help than if he asked her to calm down. Sighing softly, Aphi rubbed at Rivener's shoulder, waiting.

"...Not much longer, I bet," the man mumbled to his Sigel.

The sound of doors opening could be heard from a distance, followed by hurried approaching footsteps, and finally the turn of the door knob as the door creak open. "I'm so sorry for the wait!" The dark haired scientist exclaimed as he stepped into the room. He was panting slightly, having ran here all the way from his office, he had to go get another injection because he wasn't expecting two infected Raevans to show up at once.

Straightening his lab coat, Kyou eyed the two Raevans warily, one a fairly newborn Frei and one familiar Sigel, the first Sigel that he will treat. Momentarily the scientist wondered if the dose would be enough for a Sigel body, but he could only find out if he try it out. Walking towards the purple haired woman, he placed a comforting hand on her shoulder, squeezing slightly, his eyes filled with concern. She looked so different from the last time he saw her, on the day Lazarus was infected. She was so vibrant then, now she just looked so tired and worried. Aphismet doesn't look any better either, Kyou could only imagine the things that he had went through from the message the chef left on his voice message box.

Taking a seat behind the desk he took out two plastic packets with the syringe inside. This will end their problems. "Here is the injection to cure the infection." he said, putting the two packets side by side on the ice cold table. "It will be injected into Rivener's and Cordelia's blood stream and it will kill the virus from within. You know what is going to happen after the injection right? The both of them will be under full supervision until they wake up. I will need to draw some blood to run some tests after just to make sure." However, with two Raevans there is a problem. "There is only one examination bed in this office though, so I think either one of you will need to take that long couch over there." Kyou said, gesturing at the white 3-seated couch to the right side of the desk.

"Finally!" Ebony breathed, whirling around on her heels to face the scientist. She hadn't meant for it to sound so exasperated, but she was greatly looking forward to finally having an end to this seemingly eternal nightmare they'd all been living in for the last month. Yet just as Kyou had noted, the Brit was very tired and very worried. The normal luster of her exotic hair and eyes had faded into far dimmer shades of their usual glory while her sun-kissed skin looked more sallow in complexion. At the man's concerned touch, Ebony could only give him a very weak smile and lightly pat his hand in return.

Finding their opening, cold arms quickly wrapped around Ebony's waist just as the doctor walked to his seat and started explaining things to the four occupants there. It made the already edgy human female jump before folding the dark youth into a tight embrace. Still the girl was shivering and Ebony had to wonder whether it had more to do with being back at the Lab rather than just the cold.

The Brit sighed and pushed the black bangs out the Frei's face. The look there was sad and miserable, but at least her silent tears had stopped for the time being. "Doctor please, whatever it takes to make them better we will do." She pressed her hand lovingly to Delia's cheek letting the girl relish in whatever warmth and emotional connection she could garner from it. "Rivener can have which ever he wants. Cordelia's smaller, so it won't matter much for her."

Aphismet breathed a sigh of relief when Kyou entered, dark brown eyes opening wide in expectation. The chef listened to what was being said about the injections... They would pass out? Aphismet glanced down at the Scorpion nestled against his side. As much as he'd hate to admit it, Aphismet was looking forward to not having to worry so much for a while. Although he still had to contend with Eiry back at home... he'd be much trickier to catch. Much trickier to bring to the lab... Most likely Alex would have to come over and cure him at the house.

But that was for another time. For now, Rivener was the one needing help. "As long as it cures him, Doctor," Aphismet agreed, silently vowing to stay by his Scorpion's side until he woke.

Rivener didn't really realize how being cured would be better than being infected, except perhaps that his damned stingers wouldn't seep poison constantly like they did. He could stop stinging things to get relief from the building pressure in his wings. And he'd be allowed to be warm again, which was the main reason he now agreed to this damned procedure.

"I'll take the couch," he said, not because he was being particularly kind to Cordelia: Rivener truly thought the couch looked more comfy than a clinical examination bed.

Aphismet got up and brought his floating Sigel over to the couch, laying Riv down. The Scorpion wrapped his arms around himself to try and keep warm in the chilled office. "B-b-better be REALLY warm when I wake up," he muttered miserably, frowning.

Kyou understood their concern, they are both like parents caring for their children. When the children are sick, the parents would always care for them and wants them well again. He nodded silently at both guardians, he promised he will cure them, and he will fulfill that promise now.

The scientist was relieved when Rivener complied obediently, he was actually worried that Rivener may be a problem, recalling the things Aphismet mentioned on the phone. A bitter smile spread across his lips at the scorpion Raevan's words, "Don't worry, there will be plenty of warmth waiting for you when you wake up." he reassured Rivener. Kneeling down beside the couch, Kyou pried one of Rivener's arm from his chest, pushing the gauntlet gently up his forearm to reveal his wrist. Then he deftly dabbed a cotton into some alcohol and swabbed it on Rivener's exposed wrist. His gold eyes lifted to look at Aphismet's for one last time, as if asking for a final permission. He didn't need any though, as the white haired chef's eyes were determined. Directing his eyes back to the Sigel, he pushed the needle carefully through his skin, pumping the yellow liquid into his system.

Kyou waited until Rivener pass out before he got up and backed away, letting Aphismet come next to the Sigel. Turning to Ebony now, he stared at the youngest Frei with concern in his eyes. So young, yet had been through so much. "Come this way." Kyou urged the both of them towards the examination bed on the other side of the room.

Though she knew the doctor not to be a bad man, Cordelia couldn't help being the child she was despite her looks. And true to form the youth was somewhat scared of that needle as her grey eyes watched it pierce into the Scorpion's flesh. The Basilisk in her demanded she not be afraid, to show the older Raevan and the humans that she was above it, but...she was still only a newborn. There was still so much she had yet to learn and experience.

The Frei cringed and pressed her face into the crook of her guardian's neck, fighting back the threat of hysteria building in her. She couldn't tell whether it was her own or if it was part of her illness, but it was definitely there by the trembling of her body. Cordelia felt her lips on the verge of forming her very first word, but the sound got lodged in her throat because of fear. Ebony gently soothed the girl by running her lithe fingers through Cordelia's dark hair and whispering, "Don't worry. I'll be here the whole time you sleep. And when you wake up, you'll be all better. I promise."

How could she doubt the closest thing she had to a parent? She'd yet have any reason to. So with some reluctance, Delia slowly turned back around and floated to the doctor, an arm held out bravely to him. She would not be afraid.

Rivener hadn't been afraid of the needle. He'd stung people enough to see that the wound was not the damaging thing, it was the stuff that got put into your body that was scary. With frowning eyes Rivener glared at the yellow stuff, daring it to hurt him, and for a split second the Sigel considered yanking his arm out of Kyou's grasp.

Thankfully the Scorpion didn't act on that urge, and a moment after the cold stuff was in his veins. With a pained grimace, hating the feeling of cold spreading through him, Rivener passed out.

Aphismet sighed and sat beside his ward, nodding towards Dr Kyou in appreciation. Hopefully this would be the end of it... Hopefully Rivener would no longer be such a danger to the people around him.

The chef turned to watch Kyou head towards Ebony, the brave little Basilisk girl coming forward and offering her arm like that, so courageous. The white-haired man smiled and tilted his head at her, finding the behavior endearing. Only a few more moments and this nightmare would be over for the newborn, too.

A small smile spread across the scientist's face as Cordelia offered her arm to him. Young, but brave, a good trait. Nodding quietly, he took the Frei's arm and led her gently towards the examination bed, urging her to lay down on the cold but soft surface.

Once Cordelia is laying comfortably, he dabbed some alcohol-soaked cotton on the crook of her elbow, since the brown bandages around her wrist looked difficult to take off. "This would only hurt for a short time." Kyou said, smiling apologetically at the young Frei. The scientist was well aware that the Frei's soul was a snake, and he knew how they sometimes would react to coldness. One hand holding onto Delia's wrist, the scientist held the needle with his other, just to make sure the Frei wouldn't have any sudden movements. With that, he pierced the skin with precision, slowly pumping the yellow substance into Cordelia's system.

Kyou released Cordelia's wrist as the syringe emptied and stepped back, allowing more space for Ebony to come forward. Two Raevans in a day, that wasn't too bad. We're halfway there. This whole nightmare is going to end soon.

Cordelia did as the doctor wanted and laid down on the examination bed, her eyes never really leaving the view of the needle that would soon put her under like the Sigel before her. It wasn't until he'd actually approached her with the thing did she stiffen, a look of fear and determination mixed upon her scaled features. She'd held her breath and cringed as if that would lessen whatever pain was coming, but soon found what she'd been worrying about was nothing at all. The Snake barely noticed the sharp metal being pushed into her skin. Her face lit up in a big grin of victory then, but so soon it vanished.

If she'd thought the heat of the virus when it was in full effect was the worst she could experience in pain, well the Raevan had been horribly wrong. The cold of the liquid in her veins now burned with a different fire than the flames of fever. It literally clawed at every cell of her body as she desperately bit her lower lip to keep from screaming. Silent tears rolled down her cheeks again as her body acted of its own accord, convulsing as it utterly rejected the bitterness of the absolute cold now coursing in it. She wanted to desperately escape the pain like she had before, but Cordelia found her smoke form un-summonable then. For a brief moment, the girl wished for death, to not have to suffer like she had for the short time she'd been in this world now. It was soon forgotten though as her body finally relaxed and she fell under the veil of darkness.

For a moment, Ebony hung there a hand reached out not really doing anything, but wanting to. She feared they were doing more harm rather than good when the girl began to jerk in unnatural movements. Her hand came to rest on her heart as a sigh of relief left her lips when Cordelia finally stilled, the glow of her rune dulled, but still going strong. Giving Aphismet a weak smile, Ebony soon joined her Raevan's side as well. Somehow, she felt closer to the white haired chef now. Knowing the same thoughts and fears must be going through his head as well somehow made this all bearable. "Thank you Kyou..."
