It was time again for Julia and her family to gather in the clearing for their family game time. She was greatly looking forward to it, for she knew the rest of them were too. She loved watching her children playing happily together and she loved the time she got to spend with Tabor.
Suli sat by his mother and wagged his tail softly behind him. He was ready to go, and now he just had to wait for Eiri and his father. "Coooome on," he called to them.

Tabor laughed at his son's eagerness. It was nice to see him so excited. "Hold on," he was waiting for Eiri, who had insisted on finding his father's cards and bringing them along himself.
Eiriol, after spending a lot of time looking, found his fathers cards and proceeded to dash out to the rest of the family. "Readyyy!" he called happily, the card box held gently in his mouth.

Suli waited for his brother so that they could dash the rest of the way together. As they all came together Suli said excitedly, "We're all going to play cards together today, right?"
Julia smiled, remembering that they had said something like that. She knew that Eiriol was eager to play cards, and she could see that Suli was excited about it too. "Yes, we shall all play together today, I think it will be fun. What do you think, Tabor?" She grinned up at him as she took her place to walk close beside him.

Eiri nodded happily, having had this conversation with his father previously. Eiri wanted to be just like his dad, and his dad loved cards, so he wanted to love cards too.
"Of course, of course." Tabor replied with a smile and a nod, "Cards are always more fun when you play with others, even more so when everyone is close, like friends or family." He nuzzled Julia a little bit after his statement, smiling back.

Julia nuzzled him back, letting out a small soft purr. They continued to walk, and Julia figured that they were all headed for the same little clearing they had gathered in last time. It wasn't far, so it wouldn't be a very far walk.
Suli was soon dashing along in front of his parents, running, pausing, running, and pausing some more so that he wouldn't get too far ahead. Finally they reached the clearing and Suli sat down, wagging his tail happily.
Julia sat down beside of Suli and waited for a circle to form. She smiled at Eiri and then said, "Are you going to deal us the cards Eiri?" Then she glanced from him and over to Tabor. "What game are we going to play today, anyway?"

Walking with Julia made Tabor wish the walk was a little bit longer. But he still felt glad when they reached the spot they had been the last time they went out.
Eiriol chased after his brother, keeping at his heels as he carefully held his dad's cards. When they reached the clearing he took a seat by his brother and set the deck on the ground, trying to contain his excitement. When his mother asked him if he'd deal the card he looked eagerly to his father.
Tabor looked at Eiri, “Not yet. I've got to think of a game first.” He smiled, glad to see his kids so eager to play cards. He then thought about Julia's question. With four of them they could play any game but war or solitaire, which was fine, he enjoyed group games more anyway and wasn't fond of war. He considered poker for a moment, then shook his head, feeling his kids may be too young to really understand that one yet. He then thought that hey could play a kid's card game, like Go Fish. Unable to decide he sighed with a pensive look before addressing his family, “Okay, your choices are Crazy Eights, Go Fish, or Old Maid.”
Eiriol had heard of Go fish. He'd watched his dad play with Blake once while they were out before he ran off to go see his cousin Harmony. He also knew his dad didn't like it so much because that was the only game Blake ever wanted to play with the cards. “Crazy Eights!” he voted, interested to see how that one was played.
