Alright, so it hadn't been an entire week, but it was close enough, and the fact that the pain that had been persisting in Aludra's stomach over the past few months had actually started clearing up over the past day or two. If he was right, it was only helped by the bizarre-tasting remedy that Aden suggested, though he was sure that the smoking wasn't helping. From what he'd looked up, it didn't really damage things further, just made things slower going, but it definitely took the edge off. And honestly, with the way that he stressed out about things, smoking was probably the lesser of two evils.

Finishing off the cigarette about a block away from the Facility, he stubbed it out against a low-set brick wall before he started walking again. He couldn't help the nagging feeling that Aden was both going to find out about it and bed disappointed by it, but despite that he was trying to at least kind of keep it under wraps. He'd called about a half hour earlier, before he'd left the apartment, so that his presence would be expected this time, and arrived within a few minutes of the time he said he'd get there, waiting outside the gate and idly picking at his fingernails in the process.

Aden, being the one that probably had the least amount of reason to be able to tell anyone that smoking was bad, was sitting out in front of the Labs indulging in just that. It had been an uneventful few days since he'd last seen Aludra and he was rather curious to see how he was fairing and if the remedy had worked for him. Passed that he was just happy to have more company coming by in the form of someone that wasn't a grouchy, holier-then-though tech or his equally as grouchy boss. Was it just him or was the guy getting even more moody? Perhaps if was that time of the month?

He gave a sighing sound as he flicked aside his currently cigarette butt aside and was reaching for a second one when he spotted the one he was waiting for outside the gate. He tucked his pack away into his pocket and walked over toward him as he fished out his keys, "Welcome back, Aludra." He said in a friendly manner as he unlocked the door.

Upon spotting Aden, Aludra tried his best not to look like and over-excited puppydog likely, that plan was failing as his tail whipped back and forth like that of the very same animal. Trying to quell that movement as well as attempting to repress memories that threatened to turn his entire face bright red, though they did manage to stir up a faint flush.

"Nice to be back," Aludra replied on instinct, before rethinking the phrase. "Slash that. Nice to see you again. The setting could be improved upon," he noted, nodding decisively with a bit of a frown toward the Facility itself. Yeah, it would have been nicer to see Aden somewhere other than the Facility, like at a normal hospital, or at a store, or sitting across from him at a restaurant. Or not, because that wasn't what he was thinking about at all, of course, despite that flush from earlier deepening as a smile settled across his face.

"So the cabbage juice seems to be working, though you're right, it does taste... not so nice," he replied, cutting straight to the point, blocking off the open offer of kisses that he'd been given the week before, mainly because, being himself, he figured that the offer had been retracted since then for one reason or another. After all, someone like Aden could find someone much better than him. "The stomach aches have nulled and anything that I've coughed up is a lot thinner than it used to be."

Aden seemed unable to help but to grin brightly at the look he was getting from the other, "That's nice of you to say, I will admit that I rather missed your company as well though I agree that this isn't the best of locals." He told Aludra, the idea of meeting up with him any other place were nice. He didn't leave the Labs often though unless it was to pick up special medical supplies that he needed, things he needed and wanted to see first hand. Being given the promotion to being in charge of the medical ward some time back and working their for the most part on his own meant that it was even less often.

"I am glad to hear that the remedy worked out for you, far preferred to anything surgical that's for sure." He said, moving over closer to the other so that he could get a better look at him, to make sure that he looked alright. His eyes were checked first, then he motioned to him, "Open up, 'ahhh'." He said, wanting to see if his mouth were looking less stained now then it had been when he'd seen it last time.

So much as the idea that someone who wasn't Lirona had missed him company had goosebumps prickle up on his skin a bit, tri-coloured gaze falling away from the doctor. He was caught momentarily between wishing that he knew exactly how he'd acted last time and just testing to see if Aden would like him no matter how he was, but he did his best to take a deep breath and completely wish away the negativity and the stress and the constant wishing that he was either better, or could see the good that other people seemed to see in him. But there were still those nagging ideals of being able to see Aden outside of this place, which led to pink hair falling across Aludra's mottled face as he tipped his head to the side. "Do you ever get to leave this place?" he asked. After all, the angels and demons didn't, why not the doctors or technicians?

"Yeah, I'd much rather steer clear of surgery," Aludra said with a soft laugh. He blinked after the doctor checked his eyes, feeling odd that they were doing this out here, though he supposed that there weren't any reasons not to. It wasn't as though he needed a complete physical or anything similar to that. See, if Aden had somehow thought they were going to do that outside... no chance. Even if it was Aden. Aludra opened his mouth with the slight vocalization, just as he was told to, pressing his tongue down as est as he could and glancing around the area for the sole sake of pretending this wasn't strange.

Aden gave a smile as the spawn seemed almost to be reading his mind again, "Not to often, no. Its why I take advantage of coming outside whenever I can." He explained, "Both for the fresh air and to indulge in my bad habits." He'd even taken to happily doing parent meetings as well as lots of other things so he could go outside for a bit here and there.

"Only time I leave the grounds is when I need to get supplies that I don't trust the techs with. They aren't the most useful or trustworthy people around." He grumbled the last part before giving a shrug, they also gave him a bad name since they wore similar jackets and worked in the same building, a shame really.

He leaned in to inspect Aludra before giving a smile, "Looking much better, much better." He said, he didn't see the same staining of red in his mouth and his throat wasn't irritated by the coughing either. He gave a smile before leaning over to press a kiss to Aludra's forehead, "I am glad that you are doing better." He told him, giving a smile.

A frown creased Aludra's face at the statement of Aden rarely leaving the Facility. His tail drooped a bit and his previous fantasies slipped out of his mind, left to wilt like waterless flowers. "Ah... that's... unfortunate. My sincerest apologies," he forced a gentle laugh, shoving away his greed, that which violently lusted to have as much of the man's time as possible, before realizing what he was doing, disregarding it for a moment. "After all, of all places to be trapped..." he commented, letting Aden check out his mouth before closing it.

A result of trying his best to keep the stress and over thinking away, he reached for the one thing that would fuzz his mind just enough so that he wasn't high or anything but, y'know, things didn't matter. He was halfway toward reaching for a cigarette when the kiss was pressed to his forehead and his face lit up like a Christmas tree, having not been expecting it in the least. Shaking slightly by the time he'd actually gotten a cigarette, it was by pressing the tip of his pointer finger to the end of it and taking a deep breath that he lit it with that hard-to-tame magic of his, the blush on his face a mixture of shame and embarrassment, eyes keeping themselves off of Aden for fear of turning even brighter shades.

"Though I can't say that this-" he gestured with the cigarette before taking a drag from it. "-is helping, it's not exactly making things worse, either." he paused for a moment before those tri-coloured eyes finally made their way across the bland setting to fall on Aden, before closing for Aludra to stick his tongue out at the man. "Your fault for telling me they help with stress. That's my philosophy," he teased, though the smile on his face definitely betrayed the fact that he was kidding... sorta.

"I knew what I was getting myself into, after all I got hired on to take over the hospital wing because the Techs weren't exactly... the right fit, having no real desire to take care of the spawn they helped create such much as they just enjoy experimenting." He was happy with working on the spawn in a different manner, hoping to see them on a different level then the techs because he didn't want to be anything like them. Course he would admit to himself he was a little happy to see the techs didn't deal with the spawn as he was dealing with Aludra...

He tilted his head to the side as the boy withdrew a pack of smokes and used magic to light the end up of it and he couldn't help but to give a little grin, "Naughty little Aludra." He said with a chuckle, reaching out to catch hold of the boy's hand, lifting it up so he could steal a drag off the cigarette that he was holding, "Mm, thanks."

Aludra nodded in understanding with why Aden had taken the job, shivering a bit at a mixture of the cold and the thoughts of what it would be like if the techs ran the hospital as well as the Facility itself. That would certainly be unpleasant, to say the least. Though the way that the man had phrased his statement had Aludra raising an eyebrow and rolling his eyes, taking in another breath of the smoke. "Because you're definitely not into experimenting," he commented, hoping that he made it obvious that he was talking about their little 'relationship' as an experiment rather than accusing Aden of experimenting on the spawn themselves.

When his hand was grabbed and any portion of the cigarette was stolen from him, he wasn't able to catch the deep growl that curled forth from his chest, accompanied with a fierce glare, the likes of which Aden had never seen from him. As soon as the anger came, however, it vanished, replaced with an awkward and sheepish smile, a long drag followed by a hacking cough (from the smoke) keeping him from mentally attacking himself for the show of possession. Trying to change the subject, he went back to what Aden had said before and added a comment. "'Naughty' would better describe other things that I could be doing right now. At least I certainly think so," he said, nodding a couple times, not realizing that he may be implying actually doing something else. Which, surprisingly, he only meant just what he said.

Not that he would have minded a change in scenery. But of course, that made him wonder about something, and he frowned softly, trying to think it over, finally saying something that wasn't somehow an innuendo. "If you rarely leave, does that mean you're a residential doctor? Like, do you live here, or do you have your own place to stay?"

Aden couldn't help to give a grin at the growly sound that came from Aludra as he took a drag off his cigarette, "Silly boy. So you can share kisses with me but not indirect kisses?" He asked, giving him a little wink before he drew back and blew the smoke out in rings. This was interesting, getting to see more of the Greed side of Aludra as opposed to just seeing the damage done through his Humility side.

He gave a little shrug of his shoulders, "Yeah, that sounds about right. A live in Doctor, I like the sound of that so long as everyone knows that is what I am." He told Aludra, not wanting to be mistaken for anything else but a doctor, "I do have some rooms to myself that I stay in when I am not working." He explained to the spawn.

Shakes his head at the wink, making an odd sound that's somewhere between an amused laugh and a rather irritated sigh, smiling at Aden a bit, the blush from earlier completely gone from his face. "Pssh, I don't share my kisses, I simply take your's," this is said with a sly grin and followed by turning toward Aden, forced to stand on his tiptoes to steal a kiss from the doctor, dropping back to his shorter-than-average height and rocking on and off his heels happily. "I'm collecting them." Because he obviously didn't have enough collections.

Smoking idly through the explanation and coughing a few times, still not terribly used to the feeling, Aludra nodded in understanding, unable to keep from perking up at the idea of Aden having his own place to live in the Facility. Shivering again, he leaned down to put his cigarette out on the ground, standing up with it before flicking it into a nearby bush. That done, he tucked his chilled fingertips under his arms, trying to hint at the fact that he would greatly enjoy going inside. Of course, not to be completely vague: "Any chance we could head inside, at least for a few moments?" he asked with a little smile. "Or am I to be sent back home with a -mostly- clean bill of health?"

Aden grinned and then licked his lips after getting a kiss 'taken' from him, "I am glad to see that your in good spirits." He said, finding a healthy to be a little less on the shy and reserved side but still found him to be quite cute only in a different manner.

"It would be a good idea to get another vial of blood to compare to the other sample, if that is alright? On top of that I probably should return to my post before anyone finds out that I have gone missing." He told the teenager before he started toward the door that would bring them inside and started to lead the way to where he worked day in and day out unless he was in his private rooms... though even though it would seem he remained 'on call' in case someone needed patched up at any various hour of the day or night that he might not be in the hospital area.

It took a lot out of Aludra for the boy to be able to remain calm while expressing his greed side selflessly, as much of an oxymoron as such a statement may seem. Perhaps it was better to explain it as not being humble about his want for things, which was something that practically took training to properly accomplish. He noticed the moment in which the elder male licked his lips and let a faint blush cross his cheeks, as much as he wanted to will it away with as much willpower as he possessed. But he couldn't do that, because one thing always lead to another, and he enjoyed not coughing up blood.

Aludra nodded his approval of what Aden would need to do, understanding the reasoning behind it and not minding, since it meant that he would get to go inside somewhere that wasn't as cold as it seemed to be getting outside. He chuckled softly at the comment about someone finding out where he'd gone, though he definitely agreed. Though he was pretty sure nothing too terrible would happen to Aden if someone was looking for him and was unable to find him, it would still at least spare him from a thorough lecture. At the least; knowing this place, that was probably nothing compared to what may have happened to other technicians. Or, some of the technicians, of which Aden was not one.

"Come on then, lets go in out of the cold and get this done." He said as he turned and started for the door that led into the Labs. He held the door open for Aludra before he led the way to the hospital ward. They needed to get that vial of blood so he could compare it with the other one, it was his curiousity showing through when it came to sort of things. He smiled at the boy as he headed inside, "You sit down on the cot and I will get the syringe." He told him as he sat down on his chair and used a foot to roll himself across the room to where his supplies were kept.

Aludra took his seat, feeling as though the situation was both foriegn and well-practiced and feelings awkward thinking either way. On one hand, he'd already done this once, and on the other, he'd ONLY done it once. For some reason that left him feeling strange, between a novice and a veteran even if it was simply getting his blood drawn.

He smiled softly when Aden scooted in his chair to retrieve his medical supplies, though it was a little forced. As used to being in pain as he was, having a needle stuck into his flesh was always a relatively awkward and invasive process, one that he hadn't enjoyed all that much.

A soft laugh came from his mouth and he smiled sheepishly when he realized he wasn't really saying a whole lot. "Sorry I haven't been too... talkative up to this point. Not a whole lot that needs to be said," he explained, as though he needed some kind of reason to be quiet, before he stretched out his arm, preparing to have his blood stolen for science once more.

"I understand." He assured him as he rolled back over and took Aludra's arm in his hand, he tied a tournaquet around it before he set to drawing up the blood, "It shouldn't take more then a moment." He said, watching it fill. He withdrew the needle when he was done, capping it before setting it aside then got a little bit of cotton that he pressed to the wound and stuck on with a bandaid, "There you go."

The doctor slid his hand down to take Aludra's in his, lifting it up to give the back of it a kiss, "You did very well." He praised him, sure he wasn't a child that needed such assurances and praise but he couldn't skip an opportunity to give a kiss even if it were just on the back of the hand.

Aludra hissed softly when the needle broke through his skin, watching it with an uncomfortable look on his face; the feeling was a strange one, that was for sure, though why he was giving it so much attention this time was anyone's guess. He bit into his tongue when the instrument was removed -though did not break the flesh- and sighed gratefully, glad that it was over.

A faint blush appeared on his cheeks when the doctor kissed the back of his hand and he looked at him with an expression of perplexed curiosity on his face. "Is it possible for any one person to negatively perform the act of giving blood? Well, I suppose throwing a fit, but... a person of my age and disposition?" he questioned, part of him being challenging while the other part genuinely wondered what other kids his age would do.

"Someone might go as far as crying when they got stuck with the needle at any age I would think." He told him, giving his hand a squeeze before he rolled over to the fridge and put the bial of blood in their to keep it fresh and viable. He looked over at Aludra once more as he rolled back over his way, it was hard to see how he kept in such good shape when he lazily rolled about in his chair. Then again his job had him running all over the Labs so any time he could act lazy he did.

He gave the other spawn a smile, "I am glad your feeling better." He told him again when he reached his side again.

Aludra nodded a couple times despite the slight disappointment at no terrifying story about a child completely flipping out. "Makes sense. I'm unable to say that I would completely blame them; being pricked like that isn't the most unjoyable sensation in the work," he replied as he watched the male roll all over the room before returning to his side, something that comforted him in a way that he didn't quite understand.

He chuckled softly. "I quite enjoying my new health, as well. Although it's not as though I've been miraculously cured, at the very least I'm able to go about routine things without worrying that I'm somehow going to be on my hands and kn-" he halted that sentence in his tracks as his face turned bright red all at once to the very tips of his long ears and he laughed awkwardly. "I, uh. I didn't mean it like that. Really."

"Naw, not pleasent at all." He agreed, "But it needs to be done now and again, so I can make sure that my patients are doing well." He told him then found his eyes going a bit wide, one eyebrow lifting up, "Wait a second..."

His eyes took on a more serious look, "What did you mean it as?" He asked of him, "If someone is hurting or taking advantage of you, Aludra you should tell someone." He would find them and deal them in a very unfriendly manner if they were taking advantage of Aludra's illness to get him into the afore mentioned position.

Aludra nodded along with the information; as long as it was keeping people healthy and in better shape it couldn't have been a bad thing. Well, not completely a bad thing. Maybe just a little bit.

"What?" he retorted with, blinking tri-coloured eyes in confusion before they widened and he started shaking his head rapidly. "You thought-? Oh, no, no, no! It was just a slip of the tongue, truly it was; I merely meant to state the fact that the coughing fits were of a severity that they brought me to my knees, not that anyone's ever... done... /that/." His blushed darkened up the bit that it may have lightened as his eyes hit the floor and he began gently fidgeting with his promise ring, anything that could possibly be even remotely related to sex making him feel awkward and uncomfortable; not to mention naive.

He seemed to relax visibly and his smile returned, "That is good to hear, well not the part about the coughing fits but the part about nobody being after you in such a manner." He told him, glancing toward the ring he was fiddling with, "Gift from your girl?" He asked, curiously. He would feel almost guilty if Aludra had someone and he was flirting and stealing kisses from him. Almost since that girlfriend wasn't taking good care of her man if he ended up so stressed out that he made himself sick.

A relieved sigh came from Aludra's lips, as though he was just as glad to hear that no one was after him, and he smiled faintly, nodding. He was definitely glad that no one was like that with him, though he didn't know who would possibly do that. Not Silas or Noah or Deux or... well, no one that immediately came to mind at all, really.

At the question about his ring, Aludra laughed in that surprised, stupid-sounding way that one always regrets, covering his mouth to keep any more of it from emerging before shaking his head. "Not quite. For one, there would be the issue of not being of the heterosexual persuasion, though how that slipped your radar I'm not sure," he said with a smile, stealing one of Aden's hand by just the pointer finger and kissing it at the knuckle gently. "It's a, uh... purity ring," he said, almost whispering what the object actually was, though he once more didn't really know why it was a bad thing for Aden to know he was abstinent. At the same time, that fact was kind of obvious- even to him.

"Mmm, is that so?" He asked, lacing his fingers with those of the boy after the kiss he got on his knuckles from Aludra then lifted his hand up so he could look the ring over then gave a grin, "So, gonna give this to the person that you sleep with first since you won't need it anymore?" He asked in a teasing manner. Aludra was to cute so he couldn't quite resist teasing him a little bit, to see if he could get a blush out of him.

And of course that worked, and Aludra's face lit up like a ripened tomato as he just stared at the ring adn the hand whose fingers were laced between Aden's as though it had somehow betrayed him. The meek-only-in-Aden's-presence-apparently teenager looked out of place, so bright red and half-hiding under the collar of his black leather jacket; it was pretty funny, all-in-all.

"Well, that, um, that's not- Not /quite/ what that's supposed to signify. I mean, it's, y'know, with the church-y... ness and all of the spiritual mumbo... uh, jumbo..." he stopped his embarrassing butchering of the English language on that note as he shifted awkwardly, still shifting a bit and instead playing with the tassells of the prayer beads on his other wrist, one hand captured by the flirtatious doctor he'd come to adore.

"Darn, and here I was hoping it might end up mine." He purred, giving the boy a wink before he kissed the back of his hand again, chuckling and then gave the hand a little squeeze.

Aludra stared... and stared... and stared. As a matter of fact, he wondered if he would be able to do anything else but stare at the man after a while before he gave a short, rather astonished-sounding laugh, shaking his head.

"Well, really, I wouldn't mind... I mean..." He paused, took a deep breath, and pressed on. "If that's how you would like it to work, then I would be unopposed. After all, not much use for a ring like this if tyhe situation changed in such a way... if.

This time it was Aden's turned to chuckle, "You are to cute, Aludra. To tempting as well. I can see myself getting in trouble over you." He said, sliding one arm around him so he could pull the boy closer to him. Just a moment ago he was mentally threatening the life of someone doing such things to Aludra and now he was offering to do the same. The irony wasn't lost on the Doctor.

Still just as bright red as he was a moment ago, Aludra squeaked in the way that he only did when he was truly take off guard, that being when Aden tugged him closer, and he smiled faintly, a trembled running through him at just the implications of what the older male had said previously and continued to imply.

"Cute isn't quite the word that I would use to describe myself, but to each his own," he said, part of him trying to steer away from where this may be headed, the other part of him wanting to charge headlong into it, greed wanting to snatch up this new experience for its own. "...what kind of trouble?"

"I doubt the Boss would very much like the idea of me dallying with one of you spawn, no matter how adorable you may be." He was certain there would be punishment involved, "Lets hope he isn't on to us, huh?" He gave a little wink. He couldn't say he was worried for his life, he was to useful to be offed. Or so he hoped...

"Right, right," Aludra said, nodding sagely as he recalled the over-the-top punishments that he'd heard rumors of and he smiled faintly, though that soon faded he turned slightly, wrapping his arms around the upper portion of Aden's torso, for once, without shame, making more contact with the male than he'd made since the day they meant. It was an action that made him feel strange, as though he wasn't quite supposed to be getting so close, but he was able to push that to the back of his mind. "Yeah... let's pray that he's not," he said, chuckling weakly in an attempt to take the seriousness ouf of his own thoughts. Stupid negativity, sneaking up on him...

The doctor gazed down at Aludra for a moment before he lowered his head, brushing his lips over his forehead, "Come on now, cheer up. I doubt I have to much to fear. I am pretty smart you know, graduated at the top of my class which means I am very useful to the guy. He seems to enjoy having around useful people to order around." He assured the spawn.

Even Aludra couldn't help but laugh at that a bit, the small action raising his spirits significantly, but he still didn't let go of his doctor, comforted by a closeness that he hadn't even known with his own guardian. Then again, he hated Noah, so that was okay. 'Though,' his brain had to remind him, 'Lirona tried to share this closeness. You didn't let her.'

Pushing those thoughts away, he simply snuggled against the elder male comfortably. "I suppose you're right. That's definitely a comforting thought, although I don't approve of the use or abuse of Aden..." he said, smiling pleasantly as his tail flipped happily behind him.
