Name: Josev Maestern Age: Rather difficult to discern, seems 20ish, yet acts so mature… Gender: Male Path: Tailor by profession, a sorcerer by sorts due to a certain book appearing in his life. Physical Description: Josev is a man who maintains his body. His hair is a deep, dark brown, medium-length, combed neatly at all times, though the style can vary. He keeps his body well-tuned, exercising regularly to ensure his broad-shouldered frame keeps its muscle intact. He is of decent height, a non-imposing six feet tall, with a semi-pale complexion and sharp features. He dresses with a high level of finesse, often wearing casual, styled suits of his own design, or other casual dress clothing. He often wears entire themes to his outfits, his cologne even chosen upon what best matches his theme. He walks with a confident air, spine straight, strides long, and calm always be seen wearing a calm, inviting smile. A rather striking feature of his would be his glowering violet irises, which often rest behind a pair of frameless reading glasses.
Personality: Nothing so far has managed to break Josev’s calm, at least not near anyone else. He is very personable, friendly, and polite. He has trouble acting youthful, or managing children, however. Due to his rather stern upbringing, he has a firm belief that he is worth nothing more than the shopkeeper he can be, and has utterly denied himself any opportunity to date or any such thing.
History/Backstory: Tailoring, the crafting of fabric and garments, the art of thread and needle, has for generations been the Maestern family trade, even as they moved from way up north a long while back. Their practices and secrets have been passed on carefully from father to son, mother to daughter, making sure no more than two children are had per generation to ensure their trade isn’t spread too thin. Josev is no exception, and was trained since he was very young in the art of design and threadcraft. He now runs his own tailoring shop, selling pre-made suits and custom designs, even selling jewelry and designing outfits for weddings. The high degree of quality he sells combined with careful investment of his earnings and the inheritance from his parents has put him into a bracket of fecund wealth, and he has recently reached a bank account which could support him for retirement even at his young age. However, he enjoys his craft so very much that he has kept his shop open, lowering prices more now that profit is not an urgent concern.
His parents were a ripe old age, and died proud of their lives, so their passings were of no great tragedy to him, but there was another death. His sister, at the age of three, died suddenly in her sleep when he was seven. That has haunted him for some time.
On his twenty-first birthday, a series of events led him to discover the Ebony Tome, as he calls it, an ancient-looking but full of recorded knowledge and history, paired with a healthy dose of magic. He’s put it to an assortment of uses, to say the least.
