What are your Christmas plans? Any family traditions?
This year I'm spending my birthday (a week before christmas) with my grandparents on vacation to South Carolina! I'm so excited. My first time to Myrtle Beach. My grandparents have a time-share there and their points got them the presidential suit so it's a huge place with great views and shows nearby. That's my gift from them since I'm currently unemployed.
Christmas morning my dad makes amazing home-made french toast and other goodies. We exchange gifts if we have any and then dig into our stockings with all the yummy candies and little surprise gifts inside.

Well, my birthday is December 14th, 11 days before Christmas. I sadly have exams that week--but thankfully none on the day. But during Christmas, my relatives from my mom's side gather at our house. She came from a family of six. Some are married, but none of them had children. Two are glass blowers, one of which lives in New York. One lives in North Carolina and makes a lot of money working with computers. He has been having health problems and hasn't been able to travel, but when he does come, he takes me on a shopping spree and to my favorite restaurant. My dad went to cooking school, and makes an awesome dinner. I help my mom make the sweets, and we have our own recipes, passed down in the family. I'm getting a real yukata (cotton kimono) this year. Anyway, I'm really excited. I love opening presents, seeing the family, the tradition of stockings, and good food. And I never forget the religious meaning of Christmas, because I am what you would call a devout Christian. Oh! And the Christmas TV specials! I love those, too!

My family traditions fall on Thanksgiving. Christmas is more or less whatever we feel like doing. Most of the time I spend it at home. 1 year, I went to China town with my mother & her friends for "breakfast" which was just a chinese food all we could eat meal @ 10-11 in the morning. This year, I'm spending it with my boyfriend & his family heart It's the first time I get the meet everyone.

We don't really have any traditions per say. We exchange gifts and then I check what's inside my stocking. I like watching the Christmas TV specials too, they are fun.

Christmas Eve: Travel to Princeton. Have dinner with about 15 family members. Open presents after they leave and dishes are done. Watch Christmas movies.
Christmas: Travel back home. Have "brunch" at grandfather's. Open presents.

Usually we go up about the 19th and have a massive party on my mom's side of the family. But since Uncle Larry's in prison, nobody really feels like doing that this year, because he'll be missing.
We're still going up to spend time with my grandmother, but that'll be about it.
But I get a new car when we go up there :3nod

HououMinamino And I never forget the religious meaning of Christmas, because I am what you would call a devout Christian. Oh! And the Christmas TV specials! I love those, too! My birthday is Dec 17th. I'm a devout Christian as well and LOVE all the different version of A Christmas Carol. We have like 5 versions. Then add Garfield's Christmas and Charlie Brown. Love them all and watch them all through December. This year my grandparents are coming to visit us after we get our living room and dining room remodeled.

It's more fun for me to be spontaneous. But the main goal is to map out parties and get-togethers and buy as little groceries as possible.

Well, I've gotten the house Christmas tree, white and decorated in the colors of the Advent Candles (Purple, white and pink if you believe it), plus the living room. Because of my age, my mother and I agreed it was time for me to have my big Christmas tree. More on this to come. ^_^

Sadly, one of our families traditions is not being carried out this year. We usually have Christmas Eve at my grandparents, but they are getting to exhausted by it all, so we aren't going to have it.
Other than that we have Christmas morning at my parents' house, where we eat alot of food then unwrap presents. Then we might watch Christmas movies and just lay around.

Hopefully, I'll get to do a world of gaming during Christmas. That's always fun.
