No-Name: *settles self in a corner quietly*
Taylor: - Eyes No-name curiously from her spot in the grass.-
No-Name: *glances at Taylor, then fidgets closer into the corner, mumbling*
Taylor: - Blinks at his uncertainty and moves to stand up, slowly padding closer to him before crouching down a few paces from him- Hello?
No-Name: *eyes her warily, head shrunk into his body much like a turtle would into its shell*
Taylor: - Smiles at him questioningly, offering her hand out to him as a sign of 'peace'- I wont hurt you.
No-Name: *eyes slowly move from her open smile to her extended hand several times, still apprehensive as if it were a ruse* N'xo uho yeo?
Taylor: - Blinks at him then slides down to sit, knees drawn up to her chest, but showing she was relaxed in hopes he would as well.- Friend? - Keeps her hand extended, tapping her fingers against her lips with a grin-
No-Name: *blinks at the word, repeating clumsily* "Feeereeeend".
Taylor: - Giggles a bit and nods, wiggling her fingers at him a bit- Good. Friend. -Shifts to sit atop her calves instead, pointing to herself now- Taylor.
No-Name: *wonders at the purpose of the wiggling fingers - was it some sign of greeting in this culture? - and again parrots with no grace* Taaaaae-luuuure. *Was that a name? Or was it that Feeeereeend?* Feeeeer-eeeeend?
Taylor: - Smiles encouragingly at this, nodding at his progress, still pointing at herself--then moves to point at him, hoping he'd understand what she was asking.- Do you have a name? - She asked slowly, careful to say every word clearly-
No-Name: Taae-luure? *blinks as she points at him, asking for something. Logicially, it'd be his name, right? Well, this was awkward . . . Shifts a bit uncomfortably* A um derety . . . de-dumo.
Taylor: De-dumo? - She parroted, just like him--from her own language she just assumed that the last thing he said was his name. Or maybe she was just dull. Moves to point at herself again- Taylor... - Then points at him- ..De-dumo?
No-Name: De-dumo. De-edo. Derety. *grows solemn, ears drooped* Ucedo.
Taylor: - Folds her own ears back, half afraid she had offended him.- That's a lot of names... - Smiles at him comfortingly, looking around for a moment before plucking up a leaf- Leaf?
No-Name: Leef? *blinks owlishly, tilting his head a bit* Couv.
Taylor: - Blinks and looks down to the brown, crispy leaf- Couv..? - Points at the leaf, tapping it lightly- Brown.
No-Name: *frowns a tad at the different word. It did not sound like "leef". Which one was correct?* Couv. Ak aj u couv.
Taylor: -Giggles at his confused expression, figuring that was too hard now.- Yes. Leaf. Couv.
No-Name: Couv. *nods in satisfaction, pauses, and then puts a paw to his chest* De-Dumo. *then points to her* Taelur. U f'coujiho ko mook yeo.
Taylor: -Claps her hands together once, intertwining them and setting them atop her thighs.- Good! - The angora hummed, pursing her lips curiously.- De-Dumo..- She tried again, feeling as if she was butchering it..and wondering what else she could teach him-
No-Name: *tries to recall other words of this new language he had heard others say* Oh . . . cakk'co couvoj. Lee . . . lih . . .tul leafuhsuh.
Taylor: -Blinks at him and toys with the hem of her dress--unsure what he was trying to say.- Uhm.. - Looks around and plucks up a stick next, obviously failing at teaching anything.- Stick?
No-Name: *sighs, for apparently his stab at her language went without favor* Stihckuh. J’kasb. Leaf-zuh. Couvoj. *picks up a leaf and shows it to her* Leaf-uh. Couv.
Taylor: - Giggles and sets the stick down, nodding when he picked up the leaf- Good! Couv. - She repeated, looking around some more, before brushing her hand over the grass- Grass. -Points to the leaf- Couv.. - Then to the stick- J...J'kasb.
No-Name: *nods; in the least she got what he was saying, even if the reverse was not true; claps his hands once with a nod to show approval* Weet. Grass . . . Grass. Is . . . whujj. *blinks, looking down at his stomach as it begins to rumble*
Taylor: - Giggles at his approval but blinks when she hears his stomach, ears perking curiously- Hungry? -She smiled knowingly at him, pushing herself to stand- Let's get food.
No-Name: Hun . . . gree. *Another growl from his stomach* Fewd? *She had an understanding look, which made him hopeful as he too stood, giving her something similar to a puppy-eyed look*
Taylor: - Reaches over to gently pat his hair, an automatic reaction, before motioning for him to stand up. She pondered what they could get, before looking around curiously, then pointed to a bird- Food? - She made a motion to her mouth softly-
No-Name: *shrinks away from the touch instinctively; it was too early into understanding for him to let someone touch him so – or that was the way all of his tribe had been raised in the least. He follows her gestures to the bird and, with just a nod to show he understood, went about to stalking it. Slowly . . . slowly . . . Spirits, but his girth would give him away! He had to move with slow steps – and then a paw crunches a leaf while he is close to the bird*
Taylor: - Blinks at him but doesn't take the gesture offensively, moving down as he did to begin to stalk the bird, moving off to the side of him so when he stepped on the leaf, she could leap up and grab onto the bird but one of its wings and drag it down as best as her lithe form could manage-
No-Name: *She went with him? Odd. He was more used to solo hunting, so feeling her warmth nearby was almost disconcerting. The bird thrashes under “Taelur’s” weight and nearly escapes, but as soon as the large Bobtail lunges after them both instinct kicks in; he aims for the neck and sinks his teeth in despite being batted around by powerful wings, claws grasping its feathers in a deathgrip until it stops moving. Once it is clear the prey is dead, No-Name rolls off and licks his lips clean of blood that was now flowing from the bird’s neck – a severed important blood vessel.* Ak aj tedo. *bows his head in respect to the bird’s newly released soul*
Taylor: - As soon as No-name went for the bird as well, they flopped onto the ground and Taylor had to take a step away from it, shaking her head to paw at it, blood covering one side of her face. Blinking, she seated herself to begin to clean her paws, watching him as he bowed to the dead bird, giving him a curious look.- You...mourn the bird? - Realizes he can’t understand, and thinks it over, unsure of how to put it-
No-Name: Moh-urn? *He might not understand what the word was, but the connotation, the way it was said, neither seemed correct. So he shook his head and fell back on very rudimentary English he has picked up while listening in to the many inhabitants of Ikebokuro* It . . . better. Life. *No, no, that didn’t sound right either . . . This was hard to translate! Motions to the bird* Hun . . . gree?
Taylor: - Smiles at him, somewhat understanding before making her way over to him, sitting a good distance away still so she didn't make him uncomfortable.- Hungry. - Nods, reaching forward to begin to pluck the feathers off of the bird, really not bothered by the idea of death-
No-Name: *Waits until she has defeathered the bird before delicately placing a large paw upon its breath to stead it; then teeth come in and sink into its flesh, cleanly tearing out the warm meat from one side. Aaah, it had been a while since he had caught such fresh prey . . . He eats peacefully, far more relaxed now than he had been at the beginning of the meeting* K’xudb yei, Taelur. *nods to her next respectfully*
Taylor: - Chuckles at how he speaks, though finds it cute nevertheless. She uses her nails to carve off a handful, really not all that hungry, but she figured she needed to get something in her stomach for later. Looking up to him when she heard her name, she smiled at him reassuringly, giving a nod to him in response..that she felt like she understood.-
