Winter had begun to set upon the main cities of Gaia, and shopping had begun in full force. Things that usually weren't on sale were, and that meant getting presents for friends came cheaper than usual.
It'd been some time since she and her old friends had met up. So now it was time to go, bearing gifts instead of sweets, to see the people at the facility. Ebony'd missed them all, and she was sure at least one had missed her.
Work, much to much work to be done since that new demon had come in unexpectedly. As such no human was seen in the hallways which made creeping about the halls so much easier for him, made stealing delicious treats out of the break rooms a cinch, but at the same time it was soooo dull! Nobody to talk with made him want to just nap, though snacking and napping would lead to him being fat like Kerylia had been before he'd blown up. Enki sat back on his haunches, lifting his hands to pat them against his belly, "I am not looking that much different." Perhaps slightly rounder but that just meant there was more of him to love, nothing more then that.
He refused to lazy about Llywelyn he told himself, getting up again and started to trot along once more. He didn't want to get chubby damn it, he had his pride after all and well... was Pride, so there was no way he would allow for it! He shook his head to clear his thoughts and quickened his pace further.
A very familiar clicking of claws was heard along the passage as Ebby entered the familiar halls of the facility. Ah, her favorite pride demon. "Where oh where might my Enki be? I've been longing to see his pretty face~." She cooed lightly, pretending to not hear the demon so he could pretend to be summoned or whatever it was he liked to do. The girl didn't really mind, it was actually rather adorable feeding his ego.

Enki ducked down, as though that would suddenly make him invisible at the sound of that familiar voice before he started to slowly creep forward toward where it and the girl's scent was located. Even as he was sneaking forward his nails and hooves clicked as he went, making him very obvious. When he got closer he started to lope forward toward her, lunging around her and sat down in front of her.
He paused, blinked, then starred, "Ahh... Look at you." He rumbled, sniffing at Ebby. She was looking different, wasn't she? Interesting.

"Oh, hello there." she said cheerily, "I was just looking for you." the teen smiled, reaching out to pet the demon's hair a bit. "How've you been Enki?" The girl may look different but she was still the same old Ebby underneath. Just a bit older and wiser now.
"Have the techs been causing you trouble?"

Enki gave a rumbling sort of purring sound as he was pet on before he sat back on his haunches, "Trouble? Yes, when are they not." He said, before chuckling, "Useless fodder that they are, I wonder some days if they weren't so useful for their grunt work if they would even be tolerated.
He couldn't help but to laugh in amusement, "Oh but I can just imagine the looks on their faces when they heard a handful of kids did what they couldn't." After he told her that he started to laugh that much more. It was funny, to funny... they must have been pissed after spending so much time studying all those tomes and clues only to be upstaged by the children many of them looked down on.

"I highly doubt it, useless doesn't seem to be very welcome here." Ebony commented, reaching out an arm to pull Enki into a hug. She'd missed the demon a bunch - he was like family. It was weird to her, amost, she'd been semi-close with some of the angels, rejected her demon mother, but was particularly close with the more harmless demons.
"What did the kids do?" she inquired curiously, gesturing with her head that they should walk and talk. "Let's go back to your room. I haven't gotten to brush you in forever."

"Perhaps you have heard that the Labs are down a few people?" He asked, unsure about how much exactly might be known to those that didn't live here. Hard to tell really, "Well those silly humans have been studying up on their information in an attempt to figure out where to get a replacement Gluttony demon." He paused in his explanation to try to get his giggles which were threatening to get the best of him under control.
When he was finally able to he continued, "Well some kids went out one day and without even... without trying they found one from a nearly extinct tribe and brought... brought it back!" He said before he started to laugh again, nearly having to hold his sides.

Ebby snickered a little. It was sort of mean to do, which was semi-against her nature, but she wasn't fond of the techs at all and now they were shown up by a bunch of little ones. "That's cute." she agreed.
"Who else is gone?" she asked after a bit. "You said down a few. Besides gluttony, who else is gone?"

Enki chuckled for a moment more until the question was posed to him and he gave a sound like he was choking on his tongue, "Ahh... who else?" He looked off to the side and scratched at his chin with his clawed hand, "Hrm... well Kerylia of course, Shar as well they got into some huge monster battle like in those old Japanese movies and well... didn't survive it." He wasn't normally one that cared about other people's feelings but this one was of the few that he liked that weren't of his blood.
His tail lashed behind him before he finally said, "And the Patience Angel is missing, he made it through better then the demons though since there is no sign of him having been hurt just... poof!" He made a motion with his hand as thought to demonstrate.

Ebby's eyebrows rose. "Oh, oh dear. Poor Hyacinth. I hope he's all right." she commented softly, leaning over to hug Enki again, "thank you for telling me."
After a few moments of her not saying much, her brow furrowed, "Have they found replacements for the other two yet?"

Enki found himself pleasantly surprised, no tears but he did get hugs. Excellent! He wrapped an arm around the girl to snuggle her and gave a grin. This was nice.
"Well one of them, yes... in a manner of speaking. They didn't so much find him as the poor b*****d seemed to have no luck at all and crashed down into the grounds and hit his head. Doesn't even know what he is." He explained, chuckling. It shouldn't be fun but... it was in his mind. If had crashed down on the other side of the wall he might have been alright but a couple feet had been between luck and horrible, horrible luck...
"As for Shar it would seem there isn't any replacement as of yet but Vampy won't let himself be denied." That guy wasn't the sort that didn't go without when he wanted something... last he knew the guy was off being grouchy and sulking in his office. Not that he would say that out loud since he loved himself to much to risk getting struck down.

Enki's rumbling purr started to fill the hallway with its sound and he nodded, "Sounds wonderful, its been to long since I have been brushed I must look a mess." He said in a grumbling manner. Useless techs would gladly take his blood for their experiments but they wouldn't lift a brush, it really was a huge bother... there were days he was tempted to deny them blood but his desire to see more of 'his children' got the best of him.

When they reached his room, the girl set down her back and grabbed his brush from the bedside. "All right, stretch out pretty boy." she teased, waiting for him to lie down so she could brush his fur. "I brought you a few more things for personal maintenance." Ebby assured him with a smile.
