I remember the day I died very well, since it was the first day I truly remember being alive. Everything was cold and I could even feel the air inside of me like it was blowing straight threw my body. The wholes and scares which I had for no reason, made me feel like I would fall apart at any moment, even more so I feel hollow from the lack of flesh and blood. Especially in my chest where a heart used to be was now a vast weight I had to carry around. It was horrible who would want to live this way? Then I met someone who thought they could heal my pain, a Goddess of unnatural beauty and kindness. Her name was cake and she told me she knew where my heart was. She gave me hope that one day even this corpse would have something... anything to live for. So that is how the story began, in the dark forest where the trees had been stripped bare of there leaves, where the sky was constantly gray and more so a thick line of fog made it so you could see nothing but a few meters ahead. It was a place where nothing could possibly survive, nothing could live here, that's why all which walked through this wasteland was those who no longer lived. The undead wishes, the ones that filled the hearts of others with fear to the point no one would venture here. A lonely place. One where any sane wish would soon go crazy, on its struggle that would last an eternity through the dark. Every moment was meaningless however it continued until you started to wish for a second dead which was impossible to come. After all you had no soul just a corpse, something that was left behind. Midnight Moon knew this and he wished... he preyed more than anything to have something that would make his struggle easier. Someone, something to illuminate the darkness. However first he needed to find his heart for with out it, he was just a shell. He remembered what the deity had told him, the journey to find his lost heart would be a long one, he would have to be patient and work as hard as he could to claim his prize which would sooth his suffering and bring life back into his dried and crumbling eyes. However this quest could not be done alone another had to help him. However the creatures in this forest had no reason to help, they where all suffering as much as he was, many of the sunk into the madness... the darkness and did not even understand communication or have the will to do anything more than wonder and feed. Like the savages that they all would turn into. Mindless zombies. It was there fate after all... So he had been searching many days for a companion to help him, someone who had held onto their living nature and take part in a selfless act to save him, for nothing to benefit themselves. It seemed hopeless. 'What am I to do, everyone has turned into monsters already. I am alone in this place, its hopeless all is lost. Soon I shall be like them, forever to walk this land in darkness, to loose myself in it. Death huh? this is what its like to be dead. I thought it was meant to be an escape after all, clearly who ever I was before, I was not a good person and this is my punishment, to become a puppet, a walking shell of something that used to represent a life. I should just close my eyes and give in... its the easiest way...The words echoed through his mind like a song and his vision started to blur, this was it, the start of his new life and the end of himself. Maybe it would be peaceful after all when he gave in... he would not even remember what it would be like to live, to breathe, to love. So it would take the burden off of him. He let out a huge moan, something heartbreaking that could be heard for miles, a sound of pure suffering that came from the depths of purgatory. His eyes closed and all went silent however something snapped him out of it, brought him back at the last moment, the sound of something near. He panted and shook his head he could not think that way! there was still time! there was still hope! He took a deep breathe in and then started looking for the source of the noise. Who knows it might be someone sane, someone who was willing to help him!

Taplo wandered around the dreaded forest that he walked into. God knows what made him walk into such a awful place because he sure as hell didn't know. He scratched a tree because he didn't know and growled. He hated being a zombie, he really did. Why couldn't the kids that poisoned his candy make sure that he actually died instead of turning into a bloody zombie aimlessly walking the earth. He wished those kids did their research that Halloween before they decided to be funny and poison his treats. He just hoped that those kids were taking care of the little critters that he took care of. He was going to kill them the same way they killed him if they didn't and then see how they like it.
He grumbled as he turned around to see a couple of pieces of candy corn that had fallen out of his stomach. He hated the candy, really he did. He didn't know why liked it when he was alive but now he hated the crap. Maybe it was because it liked to fall out of his stomach area, or maybe it was because it was the reason he died, he wasn't quiet sure. He turned around again, deciding to go straight on his path to wherever. He could always follow the trail of candy corn back out if he got lost seeing as there seemed to be no other wishes here which he was incredibly grateful for.
He loved the fact that every critter seemed to be lifeless. They left him alone and did their own thing which he loved. He didn't like to be bothered, never had liked it especially when he was alive. Now though, there was a tug in the back of his mind that said that he actually needed to socialize with others. He shoved these thoughts away though, stating that he was dead and was being stupid for thinking that he needed company in life. He survived without it before when he was alive, why can't he survive it now?
Suddenly Taplo heard a moan, but it wasn't just a moan. It was like Taplo could feel the sadness and sorrow in that one moan so much so that it was tugging at his heart to go and help whatever was making that noise. He argued with himself over this, all he really wanted to do was to get out of this place. That left him with nothing else after that to do though. His heart and conscious winning yet another battle, Taplo grumbled and went over to where he heard the sound.
"Curse you fog!" Taplo yelled as he treaded over to where he sound came from. He couldn't see anything that was right in front of him, something that the zombie didn't like to much. He liked to see where he was going, not to have it suddenly jump out at him.

Midnights little nose started to jiggle, he smelt something, something sweet and close by. So much so that if he actually has a stomach it would be yearning for whatever it was. He would even go as far as saying he would even lick his lips some. Tilting his head and putting his dried nose to the floor, his tail in the air like a little radar and his ears pinned back behind his head. He followed the scent sent until another came in the view of him he paused and took a moment to have a look at the new company he had just found. It was another one, maybe one with a little more... human personality than the others but there was only one way to find out something like that. By the looks of them, there was not much to tell the difference between one that had long before gone insane and one which was still as 'normal' as they could get.
"What is one plus one times 3?" Asked Midnight as he wondered a little closer to the other, curious to see if it would drool and start munching on a rock or actually give a reply to his question.

Taplo looked at the wish that had suddenly appeared, glaring. It was another one of those nasty creatures without a usable brain...Just great. Why did his life have to torture him so much, torture him so much to send him all the idiotic zombies his way, to make him pity the cursed creatures?
He cocked an eyebrow at the other zombie as he asked the mathematical question, still keeping the look of distaste for the other wish on his face. It seemed like this one was a sane wish, but one could never tell. Maybe this wish was just a psychotic wish who liked to ask other wishes mathematical questions. It was highly possible with his luck at the moment.
As the other moved forward, Taplo took a hesitant step back, determined not to be the zombies next meal.
It took him a couple of seconds before he could answer the other Zombies question, due to not having to do math in such a long while. Math was never one of Taplo's strong points, he was actually quite terrible at it. This thankfully was a simple problem so Taplo was able to answer it, after some thought.
"Six," the young zombie growled out, watching the other Zombies every movement. No way in hell was he going to be Zombie chow for another zombie.
