With the 4th generation now out and Generation 4.5 coming soon to the US (aka Heart Gold and SoulSilver) What will the next games be. Now that they've created GOD Pokemon (Arceus) what's next they can't really make anything to top a GOD!
We have 400+ Pokemon to use and battle with 29 Legendary Pokemon and several more Pokemon of Myth (Pokemon like Ninetales, Spiritomb things with strange mystic backgrounds). I think its time to end with new Pokemon we have more than enough to play around with.
Logically I think the next step should be making a Pokemon based MMORPG, that includes the entire Pokemon world including some of the anime locations.
You choose your starter home from one of the regions, and begin your journey. Throughout your travels you meet other players battle trade and have fun, you can become a breeder, Ranger etc. And instead of the Pokemon league being the E4 its a yearly tournament event held for each region where the top 10 players can compete against the NPC E4 for that region.
This is just my idea of what I think how a Pokemon MMO should operate, since I don't think they can top the Pokemon of the 4th generation.

Indeed. The only hiccup I might see would be with the E4. I say still have them as NPC's, but everyone can battle them, then if you can beat all of them, then you can enter a PVP tournament against people who have also beaten the E4.
or maybe have the E4 be the four best trainers from the four areas...like Cyntha and....the others that I cant recall.... sweatdrop
