User ImageTsubame had to stop since she was still weak and her paw still hurt after a lot of walking. Even after a few days with Kamau recuperating from the injury caused by that yellow and green leopard. As she rested beneath a lone tree out in the grasslands somewhere, Tsu examined her injured paw. It was healing nicely but it was still sore and she was afraid that it wouldn't take to much to reopen such a wound.

Looking up Tsu examined her surroundings. "Where am I?" she said softly to herself as she saw the seemingly endless grasslands, mountains in the distance, flashes of possible water in the distance, all interspersed with trees and other greenery. It had been a while since she left her pride lands with her pad, Achal, and all she wanted to do now was to go home.

First she wandered away, it was only going to be a few moments, but then she got lost. Tsu decided to take a nap in a tree then got scared away buy a creepy lion and it seemed that her little misadventure took a turn for the worst. And now she was hopelessly lost and still recuperating from her injury.

User ImageVastal slept peacefully in a tree. He was greatly enjoying his second journey in the rogues lands. He though of his friends from his second journey often and he missed them. He thought of really anything to keep his mind from wandering back to home. He needed a break from the confusing emotions Hara was causing him.

Vastal shifted in his sleep, stirring slightly when he heard a voice. It sounded very familiar and very close. He opened his eyes looking around and wondering if there was some esle in the tree with him, but he was no one. Vastal frowned and looked out on the lands, still seeing no one.

'Was he imagining things or maybe the spirits were playing with him.'

He lay his head back down and then he saw her, lying on the ground beneath the tree. A very pretty lioness. He looked more closely at her and realized her recognized her coloring. 'Was the Tsubame?'

Vastal stretched forward to get a better look. "Tsubame", he called, "Tsubame is the you?"

He watched hoping she would look up and it would be the same Tsu from his still with Siti and her family.

Some one was calling her name. "Hello?" Tsubame didn't bother to get to her paws but she did look all around her. She saw no one there and it didnt occur to her to look up since she didnt think there was anyone there when she originally sat down. The voice sounded familiar but not quite, like she had not heard it for a while or something had changed it like age. "Hello is anyone there?"

Vastal smiled hearing Tsubame voice and confirming her identity, but frowned seeing that she did not look up. He could not fault her though because he did not think to look down at first. Vastal grinned and stood looking down on Tsu.

"Im up in the tree Tsubame. It me Gao or rather Vastal'Faraman now that I am an adult."

Gao jumped down landing a few feet away from Tsu. He turned to face her grinning and standing tall and proud to show off his new grown up self. Granted he been nearly grown when they'd met, but now his full mane had grown in and he was very proud of being an adult.

"Its been a while since we last met. I did not think I would ever run into you again, but here you are. How have you been Tsubame?"

When the voice said to look up Tsu did just that, and there was a grown up Gao. He looked slightly different then how he was when she first met him when they both were with Siti's family. "Vasal Fireman?" she said as she tried to pronounce his new name.

She didnt react when he jumped from the branch to land fairly close to her, or when he struck a poise. Tsu smiled but did not stand up, "You finaly grew into your mane." She said in a observant tone, "You look quite handsome now." Her tale twitched back and forth stirring up a little bit of dust that was quickly whisked away by the small breeze that was blowing fitfully.

"It has be awhile Vental," She got his new name wrong again, "I've been good well except for some unfortunate incidences." She was thinking of the lion who got her hopelessly lost and the leopard who injured her and now being completely and hopelessly lost.

Vastal frowned when she prounced his name wrong, although it was not an easy name to prounce. However he was placated when she called him handsome which caused the white fur over his cheeks to become rosy.

The blush did not last long as Tsu once again got his name wrong. He couldn't help but wonder if he name was really that hard, then he pushed away the thought. Cubs could get it right, but it seems Tsu could not.

"Yes it has been a while," Vastal nodded, "one thing though. My name is Vastal'Faraman, but you can call me Vast or Vara."

Vastal figured shortening his name would greatly help Tsu and help to soothe his frazzled nerves about it.

"I'm glad to hear you've been good, but what incidents have you had that were rather unfortunate?"

Vast sat down beside Tsu making himself comfortable. He was probably a little to close for comfort, but he had missed his new friends dearly.

"Oh I am sorry Vast, I guess I am so use to calling you Gao that any other name just seems odd to me." Tsu apologized as Vastal sat down next to her. She was curious why he was so close to her but didn't bother to ask him to move. "Well its not really worth mentioning." She looked down at her healing paw, "I've just had some bad things occur over the last few weeks." all starting from when she lost Achal. She added silently as she studied the healing scar on her right paw. At least it wasn't red anymore.

Vast nodded, "It's okay don't worry about it. It still hard for me to remember that my name has changed. I've been Gao for so long. That almost slip with my own name. And besides you got it right that time."

As Tsu spoke Vast looked to her paw just as she did, then jumped up and came around in front of her looking down at it. He barely heard what she said and was frowning, "Tsu, that should really be wrapped."

He leaned down to take a closer look and sniffed to make sure it was healing fine on the inside and would not soon be oozing. He gave the wound a gentle licked and then turned to head off.

"Stay here, I'm going to find something to wrap it with and then I will be right back."

He ran off intent on finding something to help his friend.

Tsubame didn't move when Vast came to stand in front of her, nor did she move when he crouched down to sniff at the wound. Tsu found all this odd but she knew that the wounded was clean, that paste that Kamau applied that first day did a wonderful job in cleaning it out and preventing it from getting infected again, it was just sore still. "It's closed so I didn't think it needed to be wrapped." she said as she tried to figure out Vast's movements and thoughts. It's times like this that make me wish I had spent more time with others. She thought as she gave up trying to figure the male out as well as her reaction to him.

She twitched lightly when Vast licked her injury. No one had ever licked her before, well besides Achal, and it felt oddly intimate for Vast to lick her injury. It took her a moment to get over her surprise and by that time he had already ran off to find something to act as a wrap. Tsu just saved her breath, there was no point in calling him back, and instead tried to figure out why she felt so odd when he licked her.

Vast gather up a few large leaves and found a small vine. He knew that wrapping the wound would help to keep from reopening and lessen the strain on it from walking. He quickly turned and headed back to Tsu smiling although he had the leaves clutched gently in his mouth.

When he reached Tsu he sat before her. He put the leaves and vines down before her, "Now just hold out your paw and I'll wrap it for you. It won't hold for long, but it will make walking over a distance a bit less tiring."

Vastal looked at Tsu with a soft smile, very happy to be helping his friend. "You really did a great job keeping it clean. It looks and smells like its healing nicely."

Tsu smiled when Vast came back with a mouth full of vines and leaves, he looked odd. She did as he directed and held out her injured right paw, she trusted him so had no problems, or very little, with giving her paw to him. "I was given a paste type stuff to place on it after I had cleaned it out." She said as she waited to see what Vast would do. Out of all the scrapes she had gotten into none had needed wrapping of any kind but most of them were shallow and quickly healed while this one had been healing for a few days after getting infected. She purposely glossed over the fact that it was another male who found her and applied the paste, as well as took care of her for a few days.

Tsu squirmed a bit under Vastal's smile, it was making her stomach do funny things. I thought only Achal could do that to me, she thought as she waited for Vast to start doing what ever he was going to do to her paw.

Vast went about placing the leaves around Tsu's injured paw. "The paste must have been really well made," he stated as he attempted to wrap the vine and knot it off. He did this tightly, but not so tightly that it would hurt or render her unable to walk.

"There it's done," soft eyes looked into Tsu's, "not to tight is it?"

He waited for her answer so her would know whether the wrap needed adjusting or not.

Tsubame watched in fascination as Vast wrapped her paw up. "Yeah, I'm sure it was since the smell alone was quite strong." She smiled up at him from her prone position of laying down. When he was done she gently pulled her paw back, "Its fine Vast. Thank you." Before he had a chance to draw his own paw back she quickly nuzzled it. "You have grown into quite the young lion Vast."

Vast laughed lightly at her comment on the smell of the paste and watched as she pulled her paw away. He was surprised when she nuzzled his paw. He could feel his heart speed and mouth did not quite want to work. "Uh, uh ... the great Tsu. It should be as good as new soon."

He could feel his cheeks warm and he knew his fur probably appeared a bit pink. "Thanks Tsu. Its very nice of you to notice."

He leaned down and gave his friend a nuzzled. He licked her cheek and lay down in front of her. "Growing up is most certainly very interesting. Currently I do not know how else to describe it."

Tsu watched in fascination as Vast's white, for the most part, face turn slightly pink. It wasn't much, more like a shadow of pink, but it was still quite interesting for Tsubame who could not recall any other time where a lion blushed in her presence.

When he nuzzled her again then licked her cheek the funny feeling in her stomach intensify, she had only felt this way with Achal and even then she did not fully understand what was going on. Trying to get her mind back on the conversation she said, "Well growing up can be very interesting and I guess it never stops. Being interesting that is." She was quite frazzled, why did she feel this way?

Trying to control her fluttery stomach she laid her head down on her paws. To keep eye contact with Vast she tipped her head to the right, resting mostly on her right leg. What she didn't know was that it wasn't just her leg that was on Vast, but her head as well.

Vast laughed slightly at Tsu words. He smiled as she lay her head down leaning to the right. Her head and leg were just barely touching her, but he didn't mind.

He leaned forward and licked her mane and nuzzled her. "Do you know what is really interesting?"

He looked Tsu right in the eyes, "you."

His heart was racing nearly as fast as his thought and his young adult hormones seemed to have taken the reins.

Tsubame was struck speechless when Vast said she was interesting and when he nuzzled her and licked her mane tuft. Her body was tingling and her stomach was doing back flips. Not really knowing what to do she let her body take over, it seemed to know what it was doing anyway. Her last coherent thought was, Should I really be doing this. before all thought seemed to melt away into the air.
