Sitting in the front lawn of his new house, Flitch was happily perched beneath a large oak tree, book in hand. It was a surprisingly nice day out, so the Blue-haired Sin' had decided to camp out beneath the large oak tree that dominated the front lawn whilst reading his book. It was a nice change from hanging around and reading indoors all day.
Plus, a lot of people passed by in front of the house. It was kinda cool watching a bunch of people walk by. Sometimes Flitch would smile and wave at them, or even ssay hello if he knew them. Not like his old home. Not a lot of people walked there. They used cars, an object Anvion loathed with a passion. It seemed to be a lot more impersonal to Flitch, as well. How could you say hello if you were driving by in a weird box? Nah. He prefered walking...

It had been a long day, for both Aletea and Aurelia. It hadn't even been very far into it, that Aletea decided that both she and the baby needed some time to relax. Thus, taking a walk. What she didn't factor in, was Lia wanting to look at every little thing and talk to every person they passed. So while it was plenty relaxing for the little girl, it wasn't so much for her guardian.
So when they passed by a boy sitting in a tree, she wasn't surprised when Lia let out a happy cry and pointed to him. She didn't know him; but then, the little corn girl had been doing that to every person so far - whether they be little old ladies or frighteningly dressed teenagers. Even a dog, at one point, and Lia had seemed very offended when there was no response.

At the sound of the cry, Flitch looked up from his book, a smile on his face as he automatically waved in response. "Hello!" he called, both in reply to Lia's yell and in introduction. He hadn't seen the two before... but he was still new to the neighborhood, so he didn't know anyone in the area yet. "How're you?"

Lia just seemed to wiggle even more at the response, very happy that this was met with success - unlike the dog incident. In response to Flitch, she gave an answering chirp, "Hiii!"
Aletea just grinned up at the boy, relieved to see that at least this kid looked more normal then some of the people Lia greeted. "We're doing alright. And you?"
Then, she paused for a moment...she didn't recognize him. People they passed while walking, she could understand why she didn't recognize them; but they lived near to here, and she at least knew her neighbors by sight...so a welcoming smile crossed her face, as she realized he must be new. Or, well, semi-new. She hadn't been out and about much lately.
"I'm Aletea, and this little bundle of energy is Lia. We live just a bit over that way," She gestured down the street with her hands.

Flitch grinned, closing the book and scrambling up so that he could go over to Miss Aletea and talk. It seemed to be the more ploite thing to do, and besides... That Lia had funny-looking hair. Or was it hair? Flitch needed to get in closer to examine it.
"Nice to meet you, Miss Aletea." he said with a grin. "I'm Flitch. Me 'n' my guardian Anvion 'n' my family just moved in a few days ago." he pointed to the house behind him as if to confirm it. "Our old house was too small, so we moved here." He gave a small firm nod, as if that settled the entire matter. After all, it made perfect sense. Anvion kept winding up with more and more kids (meaning more and more siblings, yay!), and the old house was just too cramped for them. But Flitch already liked it here a lot. The people here were so nice.

Aletea felt herself give an approving nod - finally, a polite child. It seemed like recently, the only new children she and the baby had met, had either been somewhat questionable (Kilah), or scared Lia (Lex). "Nice to meet you too, Flitch!" She gave a playful wink at the boy, "And you might want watch out for Mrs. Ellison - she's one of those old ladies that likes to pinch cheeks. Just don't tell her I said anything!"
Lia, now being closer to the little boy, gave a friendly little wave, before reaching up and twisting one of her leaves in a habitual motion. Upon hearing the name, she directed a pout at the boy and added her own input, "No fun."
She was, of course, referring to the pinching of cheeks; the little girl had decided it wasn't exactly something she cared for.

Flitch giggled. "I'll have to keep that in mind. I'll be sure to let my brother Kuzu distract her. He deserves it more." Again he gave a small pleased giggle before finally turning his attentio to Lia's... leaves? Hair? Hat? It was odd. Interesting, but odd.
"Um, sorry if I seem rude... but why does she have leaves on her head?" It seemed kinda weird. If it was some hat, then it was okay, Flitch guessed. But still. Weren't leaves for plants? Or was she going to a costume party or something?

((Heh, what a predicament - two Sin'aeis meeting without knowing they each are that >.>...))
Aletea paused at the question. Most of the neighbors seemed content to either ignore it, or accept her explanation...though she had known some people to be skeptical of Lia's origins. But really, why else would she have such strange hair? It wasn't even like she was a normal baby, for that matter.
"Oh - well...she's something called a Sin'aeis. They tend to look a little different."
And she just hoped that the boy didn't ask to go too in depth - people around here were, for the most part, alright with a baby having leaves. Most of them just figured that a Sin'aeis was some obscure race that was mostly unknown. And they were, of course, mostly right; they just tended to disbelieve when it got into the elements part of it.

((Bwahahaha. It amuses me.))
"Really?" Flitch face seemed to light up with excitement. "I am, too! Only I got webbed fingers. See?"
He held up his hand, proudly showing off the thin webbing of skin laced between his fingers. HE personally thought they were cool, since no one else seemed to have them. But leaf hair was pretty darn awesome, too. Least you didn't have to shampoo or brush it. But the news that he lived near another Sin'aeis excited Flitch immensely. Why? Dunno. But still! And Lia seemed to be nice... maybe Anvion could let her come over to play someday!

Aletea chuckled in amusement at this, "Another Sin'aeis, huh? Very nice. It's good to hear that Lia's not the only one on the block, anymore." Then, in another moment, she eyed the webbing with a curious gaze. "So what's your element? Lia here is corn."
Lia gave another happy noise, and reached out to touch the webbing - now that was something she hadn't seen before. And while Lex had scared her by getting angry when she tried to touch those crystals on his head, she still hadn't learned to respect someone's 'bubble'. Except that she didn't do that to Lex, anymore - he was too scary!

"I'm fish," Flitch responded cheerily. He stuck his arm out more so that Aurellia could see better, waggling his fingers in a playful manner. "Hee!" He found it funny that she liked his finger-webbing. But babies always liked the oddest things. Oh well~

Delighted, Aurelia grabbed Flitche's fingers and the webbing. With a baby's single-minded nature, she had no problem with just keeping hold of the fingers and webbing, giggling. She loved meeting new people, especially when they had new things about them.
The girl had begun to notice the extreme difference between Sin'aeis and regular humans, and already her preferences for friendship were becoming clear. If there was something different about them, she tended to like them more. But then, Lia was just a baby, so you couldn't be certain it would remain like that.
And upon hearing Flitch state what he was, she gave a cheerful little laugh, and a cry of, "Fishie!"

((Gah, sory for the lateness and shortness))
Flitch giggled and nodded at Lia's happy cry. "Yup," he agreed cheerily. "Fishie."
That said, he returned his aqua gaze back upon Aletea. "So where exactly do you live?" he asked curiously. "Anvi hasn't gotten around to meeting everyone yet And I was just wondering if maybe I can... um... come over to play sometime...? If that's all right with you, of course..."

((That's alright ^.^ I know how easy it is to get busy.))
Aletea felt a wide grin spread across her face at this, and she nodded happily to Flitch. "Four houses to left of here. And of course you're welcome to come over!"
Lia, always ready to put her ten cents into a conversation, squealed delightedly at this. "Plaaay!"
"There you go - an invitation from the little imp herself," She winked then, adding a playful tone to her next comment, "You can keep her out of my hair every now and then."

Flitch laughed and nodded. "Awesome. I'll be sure to come by sometime. I'll bring along Anvi, too, so she can meet you."
That seemed to be a suitable arrangement indeed. Then Anvion could bring over cookies or whatever and the two could talk while he and Aurelia went on adventures or something...
