I sent our fellow B.O.O member Desna ( the admin who was on our side) a P.M. I didn't bother sending one to Lanzer. Didn't think he'd care after he posted two follow me threads of his on S.I.N's side.
This is what I wrote:
Hello there.
First of all if you are reading this thank you for your time and consideration. It was a pleasure playing with you and on your side. Thanks. I did have fun playing but to be honest. I think the consolation prize is not a consolation. I am sure you know about the Petition that is out there now about either changing the consultation prize into something a little less insulting or unsoulbinding it if that can't be done.
Honestly I'm not changing my avi because I like the skin. Its pretty and props to the artist who designed it.
Also I am Irish decent. I live in the USA though. I get jabs about being a potatohead,potato lover, ect. I did not enjoy coming on Gaia and getting that stigma of a joke rubbed in my face here too. Its bad enough that I get it in the real world to come here and see my beautiful avi turned into a rotting potato. I mean really? Did you guys think about how that would make people like me feel? I mean I am sure you didn't intend on making it a racial slur but when I logged on I saw it and cried. I never felt so horribly insulted in my life and what was worse it was from a site that I go to wind down and relax.
Look if the skin was just removed I would have been ok and fine with it. We lost. I got that. But this? This was cruel. Also there are people who spent gold and cash on this event and then they get this? That is also cruel.
I mean S.I.N won. Ok. Better luck next time. Then I read and it said I got a consultation prize. I smiled at that and went to see what it was. Then it was almost as if S.I.N took the loss and rubbed it in my face and said Neener Neener neeener you lost you looser. That and all the time you spent on the game is wasted and you are stuck with a potato skin that you feel highly insulting that you can't get rid of.
Not a very nice thing to do.
Anyway I don't expect you, our fellow B.O.O member Admin, to do anything but I just wanted to be heard out.

I dont mind the potato skins that much.
It's a tad confusing because I cant think of what potatos had to do with anything.....but still.

Anyways, you aren't the only one that likes it.
I also like it, though perhaps less than I like the previous skin.
I remember that there were quite a few that liked it in the BOO subforum before that closed down.
But, that's the thing.
Those that liked it would have moved on easily enough, and did.
Of those that didn't like it, there were a number that refused to accept it, and didn't save over the old skin.
This guild being what it is, it shouldn't come as any real surprise that the bulk of people wouldn't like the consolation.
I hope that that came out right, and that my guess at the missing post wasn't too far off.
If either of those should be the case, discount all things that I say.

As far as the post order glitch, I remember something similar happening during the first few opening days of Demonbusters.
Have no idea what would be the cause of it this time, though.
Do hope that it gets fixed soon.

Have a great day and happy Thanksgiving. wow. i hadn't heard of the potato deal, but that really sucks. but i live under a rock, so this doesn't surprise me. but i hadn't even thought of it being insulting in that light. i get lot of nazi jokes b/c my family mainly comes from germany. so i understand exactly what you mean. i hope they at least respond to your message
