Cry of a Hunter, is a story i've been writing for a few months now, originally I wrote it in note book, but then I re-wrote on my laptop and the whole plot changed. I want the members on this guild to enjoy some literature about monster hunter. Please comment to express your opinions about it, critique it~
Cry of a Hunter is not based really on anything, only monster hunter. The plot is a hunter who keeps her journal and writes what is happening. moving from kokoto to pokke, the areas and new monsters appear. Do you think she will survive in this new environment? Or will she perish in the claws of a monster....
Genre: Action, Fantasy, Gaming, (small bit of romance and comedy)
Also! This Story is copyrighted belonging to me ^-^ (c) kinokashi I worked very hard to let people enjoy something I've written. Comment anything you like ^_^, just color code your words

Not just anyone can be a hunter...Only the bravest, smartest, strongest and well trained can become one. It was my first day out of training, being sent to a village in a snowy region. I heard by other hunters, a great hunter used to life there, a wyverian. The northern lights above me glittered, being lost in the moutains...it was cold... -First night, December- Walking through the mountainous region, I was trying to find my way to a village called "Pokke." The northern lights above me gave me some sight on my map on where to head. Resting at a abandoned camp site, it was quite..peaceful only the wind can be heard. Taking my break, I predicted I would arrive at my destination by morning in thought, the silence was broken by a loud roar. Flying overhead was a wyvern...Crashing to the ground its razor teeth and hungering eyes glared to me. I stood there in fear, I clenched my sword, my palms sweating, the hairs on my back rose. Unable to move, the beast charged to me, Knocking me over the mountains. All I could think was, "Am I going to die now?" then, the lights in my eyes turned dark.

-Morning, at a house in Pokke- Day one Everything seemed blurry, hazy. A person was looming over me, trying to move the man said, "Please don't move young miss." Trying to move, I felt as if every bone in my body was broken. Giving a slight sigh, I told the man my name, "Inari." Seeing him turn around he replyed, "I'm a doctor..just call me D, You survived a fall there Inari, seems you meet our problem here, the Tigrex. This type of wyvern has been causing disasters like no other.. Killing out farm animals, killing villagers...When I heard you have fallen, I was in a shock cause you are my replacement." Telling me a story about himself, he told me my items and equipment are in the closet and storage box. "This house you are in now belongs to you, I beg of you to protect this village like I have," D said. Laying myself back to sleep, I thought of the trials that lay ahead of me...But odly, I felt as though I was forgetting something, a note from someone close to me...

-Afternoon, Pokke village, then snowy mountains-Day two Standing in front of the Village Chief, she wasn't that tall for a wyverian, though she may be old, her squinting eyes had hope in me. Giving me my first quest, was hunting a Giadrome. Departing to the snowy mountains, I began to search through my pack for that note, that note was very important to me. "It must've fell as that tigrex was charging at me" I thought. Gazing at the mountains in daylight, you can still see the northern lights glimmer above, the air smelled so fresh. Around the highest part of the mountain, the village chief told me not to worry for that tigrex attacking in broad daylight. Staring above enjoying the scenery, I saw something, it looked as though it was a frozen wyvern laying above, rusted looking. Distracted I heard a bark like roar, it was the Giadrome, it resembled a Velocidrome back home where I used to live in Kokoto. It's color was a hard light blue, its yellow eyes gleamed from the light, its sharp like talons tore herbivores to shreds. "This will be easy," I thought. Drawing the only weapon I had left, "Blazing Falchion" I charged to the Giadrome, hitting every aspect of what I had with my experience. Slicing it limbs here and there, it began to rage out. It ran fast, jumping on me and clawing at me with its sharp talons. My armor was just the basic mafomafo, to withstand the intense cold, I left my good armor back Kokoto. Kicking it off of me, I rolled to the side, but it didn't help. Again it jumped, but this time, it got to my arm. In a shock of pain, I dropped my sword "NO!" I shouted, "That sword is precious to me, its the only thing I have left of him." Seeing that the sword was about to fall of the ledge of the moutain, I stared back at the Giadrome, running to me with its finishing attack, bullets seemed to rain from the sky. Above was a figure, unfamiliar to me, the Giadrome seemed to be in a state of confusion, everything happened fast. The figure jumped and landed on time to catch my sword. Handing it to me, he was tall. "You don't remember me my dear" the man asked. Taking off his helmet, it was him, Zuki! About to say a word he said "Lets finish it off", drawing out his heavy bow gun, I went on top of it holding my sword. As he shouted "Fire Cannon" I jumped high above the air, diving in at the Giadrome, bullets shot at it as I charged down. Blood splattered and stained my new low-class armor. "Mission accomplished" Zuki said. "Mission accomplished," I replied...

-Evening, Hunter's guild-Day one "You've seen to have lost your touch," Zuki said to me. It wasn't my fault I had a hard time fighting the Giadrome, I thought it was going to be easy. "So, how have you been Zuki? It's been awhile since we seen each other." "I've been alright, been missing you, why did you stay back home in Kokoto?" He asked me. The reason I stayed back there was because...Was because I couldn't lose to him, Zuki, is more than just my Nakama. I've been known as the "Lone Hunter, Queen Rathian" but ever since Zuki became a hunter, he surpassed me in just months! Though it really ticked me off I planned to keep my cool. Seeing him grin as he ate his meal, I sipped my cold alcohol drink just looking at him. Seeing him meeting my eyes he asked, "Why didn't you come sooner, but came here now?" Standing up on the table triumphly, I told him I caught up to him. He sighed and chuckled and told me to keep dreaming. Going behind me, he grabbed me "Why of all places here?" I thought. Smiling, he let go and got ahold of my Hunter's card, looking at it he gave me his. I dropped to the ground in horrific sadness, he killed more than 1505 monsters! Tears filled my eyes, I know for sure hunters aren't supposed to cry so I ran out of the Guild Lodge. At home I began to think... If I can't be better than him then at least I know I tried..right?

-Early morning, Snowy Mountain- Day two Walking again in the mountains, I wanted to take a breather. I remembered what I saw yesterday on the peak of the mountain, that frozen wyvern. I wanted to take a closer look of what it was exactly. Climbing through a small hole, and up a few ledges it was a carcass-like beast. "What kind of monster could shed it's steel-like hide?" I thought. It was torn and rusted, but big (not as big as a rathalos though, I can ensure) but as I peered into the dark hollow shedding, I reached in a felt a glimpse of warmth, it was a egg! Grabbing it with my two hands, the egg felt warm inside but odly it felt steel cold. Thinking of what I could do with it, I put it in my pack. Climbing down being very tedious with my newly found item in my bag a snow storm began to form. The wind was tremendious, snow fell down harshly. Looking at what it was, it was a Elder Dragon. Steel, it's blue saphire eyes shone with great dignity a aura of wind surrounded it. "This is my chance" I said, "To prove to Zuki I improved." But yelling behind me was him. The dragon saw me and Zuki pushed me aside. Clenching my backpack to see if the egg was safe, he told me to back off that I was not prepared for a monster like this. "This is the Kushala Daora, the Elder Dragon of Wind." He said in content voice. An elder dragon, unlike a wyvern they live for a very long time, and hunters who slay them acheive great riches. Thinking about it I really needed the money...and a new armor with a weapon. Seeing Zuki drawing his long sword, he was prepared to do a bout with the Kushal. Everything was such a pace, why didn't I do anything to help? As the kushala began to rage out one of it's wind blast hit Zuki really hard. Knocking him unconcious I soon saw four medical felynes entering this battle. The kushala then struck them with a light force knowing that they were small creatures. I began to panic, "what do I do?" Running away I stopped in my tracks. I'm not a coward and I will show Zuki that me, The Lone Hunter can do anything. Grabbing Zuki's sword beside his unconsious body I raised it up with great might. A jolt of energy went though my whole body, my veins and nerves felt a reaction. Blowing its rushing wind towards me I jumped out of the way, running I slid underneath its belly and jabbed that long sword though it's body. Seeing it was pain stircken it flew up and away, retreating from its defeat. Looking down I saw a dim silver glimer, brushing the snow off of what it was it was something magnifecnt, a Daora Claw cut off in battle. Putting it in my pocket I heard a small cry coming from my backpack, opening it was a baby Kushal. Maybe that's why the full grown Kushala came back here I thought. Taking off my coat I wraped the baby Kushal, though it was very cold I felt a small connection between me and the baby dragon. Freezing to death, I remembered the knocked out Zuki and Felynes. Laughing from this accompishment I dragged Zuki, and carred the baby kushal and felynes back home...

-Late Night at home- Day two/three Sitting by the fire place cradeling the baby kushal in my arms I stared into the flames and back to the baby. It's tiny back eyes stared into my blue eyes as if it was looking into my soul. I lightly rubbed its white scales, thinking what I read about the Kushal in my Hunter's magazine. Baby Kushala Daora's have a white soft hide that harden as it grows and their black eyes turn blue in about 3 weeks. I caught a cold from early this morning and wished there was a remedy to take it away. Jumping out of my arms the baby kushal went toward the door, chasing after it there was a knock on the door. As I opened it Zuki was peacefuly smiling holding a bowl of soup. He looked down at the baby kushal, "So, this is the thing that you hid in your backpack," he joked. Bending down to pet kushal it bit his fingers. "Luckly it doesn't have sharp teeth" I mocked him. Inviting him inside, the baby kushala jumped on the table and cuddled next to my arms. Zuki stared at me, "You have something to say, just say it!" I said angerly. "No, no, I just...wanted to say thank you for helping me early this morning. If you weren't there I would've been dragon dung by now." he replied. "So did you give it the baby kushal a name? You also know it's a wild animal and the guild will try to take it away from you." I thought for a bit, "The guild can't take this away from me, it's more precious than you are, and the name I'm giving it is plainly Kushal." He gave a weird look at me until I sneezed, rising from his seat he went towards my face and felt my forehead, telling me I got a fever. Kushal looked up and Zuki gave me a kiss on the forehead, "Stop acting as if we were stangers." So then Zuki picked me up and layed me on my bed telling me to rest. I smiled and said to him "I'm not acting as if we are strangers, its just you treat me like a child like I'm unable to take of myself." Looking down at me, he sat on a chair next to the fireplace and stayed quite. I felt kushal cuddling by my shoulder feeling drowsy from my fever I feel asleep...

-Night, Jungle region- Day three Still with my flu I took on my quest of a velocidrome. "Yes!!" I thought, this is easy, I'm well assure of it! Walking in the rain, Kushal stuck out from my breast plate taking cover from the rain. Looking at the area, this Jungle is way different from the other jungle. This one was more tropical like, the night sky was clear as it rained, many types of plants flourished here. Killing the velocipreys in my way I headed onwards but suddenly Kushal began to shiver in a slight fear. Right in front of my eyes was not the velocidrome but the Yian Garuga. I've rarely seen one before because its roar was a peirce. It looked like a Yian Kut-ku but much deadler, Its shark beak had a slash meeting towards its blind eye with one ear cut off. Its barbed tail filled with sacs of poison with just one reaction can kill more than ten popos. It's mane was white, known for being a lone wyvern it was given the nickname "Lone Wolf." Sneaking up from behind it, the Garuga turned around with its sharp sense of hearing. Taking out my Falchion I stiked it but was then bounced back. Rock solid scales it had, raising its head I covered my ears from it's howl-like cry. Hitting it with my might nothing seemed to work out. Tail whipping me from behind it felt as though all my tendons seemed to freeze, my reaction time slowed. The poison is working through my body, and out of the Garuga's mouth it spat out a fireball aiming at me, closing my eyes I heard a clang. In front of me, Zuki blocked the blow with his greatsword "Red Wing" throwing down to me was the antidote I needed. Feeling better, we both ran for saftey due to being unprepared. Hiding high up in the tree I asked him why he was here? Without a word he switched our contract, the village chief gave us the wrong one. I seemed a bit more suspicious though, everywhere I am he's there with me, why? Jumping down, he threw a pack to me, "This is your armor, I got it delivered here because the armor you have won't protect you from much." Looking inside was a Rathian armor set, and as I followed him with my eyes, he pulled something form behind the trees. "I knew you would be here so I also brang your sword," Throwing to me was a Sword and Sheild I've never seen in my life, this isn't mine I thought. "That's called the Princess Rapier" he said duly which brang my mood down. Kushal flew out from my breast plate and kept gaurd as I changed from behind the tree. Everything seemed hazy in my mind, a mystery that I need to solve, "Hey! Zuki, these things aren't mine why give them to me?" I heard a deep sigh from behind me and felt a warm grasp that felt so familiar, "Please remember who you are." Trying to push him away, I needed to know what was going on. "Why are you always where I am? What is it that you're not telling me!!" I yelled. About to put on my rathian chest peice he held me, "You are the lone hunter like you said" he pointed a scar on my bare chest and a big stiched line on my skull. "You lost most of your memory of what really happened..." "When you and me were protecting the fortress from Lao Shan Lung back at kokoto, you almost gave up your life saving me. I-If I have saw that tail lash, none of this misunderstanding would've happened. The reason why I follow you everywhere is because it is my duty to gaurd you, I loved you no matter what situation and I still do." Dropping to the ground in tears everything came back to me now. I was a ruthless hunter, I tried my best to surpass Zuki, and most of all I forgot him. All I could remember after I lost that memory was when Zuki left town and gave me a note, and the fragment of me being the lone hunter. Kushal began to squeak its tiny roar, the Garuga has arrived here. Zuki raised his Red Wing greatsword but eyeing my Kushal the Garuga, flying toward Kushal it opened its huge beak and closed it. My eyes were wide, drawing the princess rapier, I ran up ontop of Zuki's Red Wing, flinging me in the air I flew just who I was, Zuki whisperd "Fly, my Queen Rathian, fly." I dived down into a summersault kicking the Garuga's mouth then slashing it. Stunned, Zuki threw the Red Wing to me, grabbing it I gave it a finishing blow. From the side, above and below, the Garuga gave its last breath in life, falling to the ground it's mouth opened and out flew kushal. Back at my place, Zuki was happy I regained my memory. But soon enough my hope was brought down a few, "You know before you killed that Garuga, I have already weakened it." he said. "s**t! I forgot I didn't kill the Velocidrome!" Him seeing my worried look, he laughed and told me not to worry because he already killed it for me. About to throw my pillow toward him, He yelled in a painful way, as I looked down, Kushal bit his fingers...

-Afternoon, Desert Region- Day Four Walking around in the desert heat, cephalos' roamed underneath the sand. As the heat was beating down on me I managed to find a cave to take a break. As I was mining I got ahold of a few rare ores. Stuffing them in my pack I ran out of room. Behind me were the herbivorous apcerops, as I was walking out three of them began to follow. It irritated me. Stopping in front of them I yelled "Stop!!!" yet they didn't. Running away, a earthquake came from below me, was it the Cephadrome? No, it couldn't be, this was way different. As I ran away I tripped and all my items fell from my pack, as they rolled my sonic bomb went off and out popped the one horned Monoblos and the double crossed horned Diablos. Both began to roar for finding their next prey...Me!!! Their roaring combined together sounded as loud as the Lao Shan Lung, my ear drums felt as though it would burst and bleed from the inside. I had hope to kill them, with my rathian armor and my new sword I created "Valkyrie Blade" the greatsword. Grinning, it was on. Just me and Blos' head to head. Drinking my cool drink, drawing my blade, they charged me from both sides with their sharpened horns pointed towards me. Grinning I rolled and hit their legs, the adrenaline was rushing through my veins...This feeling I haven't felt in so long... As I looked back one of them was gone, only the monoblos stood there still, it's yellow eyes gleamed with a small twinkle "s**t" I thought. Underneath the crossed horns of the Diablos knocked me in the air, flying towards a cave. Shivering, I climbed down the ledge knowing the blos' can't dig here. The cave was nice and cool, a break from the hot desert, as I walked towards the clear water the fishes swam away. It was confusing why they did so until at the bottom of the lake a fin was emerging, a small growl can be heard underneath. It was a Plesioth, its scales shimmered like glass, its teeth were like a sharks, piled one after another. The noise it made was like a dolphin's cry, squeaking and clicking to communicate, it's fins gave it power to swim underwater, a power not many wyverns have. "I've fought one of them before...but I don't remember." I gave a sigh and felt the scar on my head. What else have I forgotten from my past, only a little has been uncovered.
