Character Profile: Imaru grew up being a mute during his childhood, overwhelmed with being abandoned at the age of four. He grew up in a halfway house most of his life, taken in by a kind older man. When asked what his name was, he scribbled his name "IMARU" on a piece of paper. Everyone thought it said "I'm Aru" and Imaru never bothered to correct them. The man who ran the halfway house never imposed his beliefs on any of the children there, but Aru took an interest at what the man had to say about the Overseer. He told Aru that there is comfort in the Overseer, who provides gifts and lessons in serenity for everyone to partake in. A few years later, the man was murdered by a boy Aru's age who he had taken in, providing for him, in the example of the ever-giving Overseer. On the verge of rejecting the Overseer and full of resentment, Aru decided to walk down a new path in life that would bring him as close to the Overseer as possible, in an attempt to understand just what the older man saw in the clam's ways anyway.

NaNoWriMo = National Novel Writing Month. The goal is to write a novel of at least 50,000 words during and by the end of November, mistakes and all. The idea is write now, edit later (December is for editing, so they say). It's mostly this whole ado about nothing sort of thing that gets aspiring writers to get out of writers block, or try writing, or practice, or just have fun, etc. while making a big deal about it to each other about how much sleep or time or coffee was lost in the process. the websiteAddicting, trendy, and slightly painful. heart -edit- Also, EAT. Aru advocates eating, please eat! D:
