Today was the day of the bake sale. Yes, high schools held bake sales, especially when they weren't heavily funded like other schools, such as Barren Pines or Crystal Academy. Ellie had been around long enough to know that the Home Ec class usually was used as a place to store all the cakes, brownies, and other forms of sweets meant for the sale. She also knew they weren't really well watched during the day, especially when it came time for the sale. They didn't want to leave all the food out so bugs could get an early taste of the food. The Home Ec teacher was very paranoid about that sort of thing. So instead, they'd have a runner go up to the Home Ec class to get any desserts that they needed.
Ellie was not one to like sweets. In fact, she hated sweets. She never could understand how other chicks could like eating such things as pastry puffs. Were the girls idiots? Did they not realize this sort of food was perfect for causing unwanted weight gain? God, girls are so stupid! she bitterly thought in her head as she attempted to time the situation.
The blonde had plans to get some sweets, but they were not going to be for herself. Ellie had been in deep sh*t at home for a few weeks now. All of these sudden injuries she had gained had caused her parents to ground her out of worry that she was a part of a gang or something stupid like that. Some a** kissing was in order, and since her mother was in charge of discipline in the Spectre household, Ellie figured some cream puffs from the school bake sale were in order. Nevermind the fact she was going to be stealing the cream puffs. She'd be damned if she was going to pay for something that was just going to make her mother complain about gaining weight at a later time.
"Alright!" she whispered to herself, thinking the cost was clear. With the stealth of a rock being thrown at a window, she walked into the Home Ec classroom.

Aaron was singing softly to himself as he worked, alternating between checking the timers on the ovens he was using, and putting the finishing touches on some cookies and other confections. He had been downstairs, helping with the sales, but certain things were going faster than they had planned, and so Aaron had volunteered to go bolster the supplies before they ran out entirely. It was the least he could do, and as he sincerely enjoyed cooking, it gave him a break from everything else where he could relax and be himself.
As the timer for the white chocolate macadamia nut cookies went off, Aaron turned on his heel, wiping his somewhat sticky hands on a flour-dusted pink apron decorated with stars and cat faces, before grabbing a pair of pot holders and hauling the oven open. "Hmm hmm perfect, guess these are done~" He grabbed the cookie sheet out of the oven and hip-checked it closed.
Just as he was turning to put the tray on a cooling rack to sit for a couple of minutes before he could slide the treats off of it, the sound of a shoe squeaking on the tiled flooring caught his attention. Whipping his head around faster than he was moving his body, Aaron stumbled, tripping on his own feet and fumbling the tray. "Who-AH, s**t!" he cursed as he instinctively reached to steady the pan, burning part of his hand as the potholder slipped out of it.
Aaron hissed and shoved the tray onto the counter, shaking his hand and turning towards the door. "Augh, dammit, why do you gotta sneak up on a person? If they sent you for more cookies, it's still gonna be a few minutes," he glowered, sucking on the side of his hand where it had come in contact with the pan.

She had been paying so much attention on the person running back and forth from the classroom, that she didn't even notice the other student still in the classroom. In fact, the squeaking of her shoes had been from the sudden stop she made when she noticed that the room was not as empty as she had thought it was.
And then sh*t happened. Now, Ellie was looking out for herself, but she wasn't a heartless b*tch like many girls these days were. Acting on instinct rather than using her brain, she ran up to the guy and...
What the hell, a guy is doing the baking?! Her brow lofted upwards, curiously analyzing the situation. Her expression partially read of concern, and partially read of shock.
"Sorry 'bout that, dude. Didn't realize they had you doin' th'b*tch work." The girl didn't hesitate to take up the guy's hand up (without permission) to take a look at it. She most certainly was not part of the bake sale staff.
"Ya need some ice fer that?" she asked, her voice only holding a vague amount of concern to it.

Aaron couldn't help a slight blush as the strange girl took his hand to examine it, although the shocked expression she had a moment earlier made him feel slightly self-conscious.
'b***h work?' Aaron frowned. "It's nothing, happens all the time. I just gotta uh, run it under some water or something.." He extracted his hand and turned the cold water on in the sink of the nearest island counter.
Aaron eyed her up and down. "You know, I don't remember you from the bake table...are you a new volunteer?" he asked, with a hint of wariness in his voice.

"So yer a bakin' fairy all th'time?"
She shrugged her shoulders at the boy before crossing her arms. He looked her up and down, while she did the same. This guy didn't really look like he belonged in a kitchen. He looked like he belonged in some sort of rock band, especially with the hairdo and the excessive amounts of metal on his face and ears. She had to wonder why a guy like this would be baking sweeties of all things, but then she managed to catch the question.
And to be honest, the question actually supplied her a bit of an excuse as to her presence. "Oh, hell yeah, dude!" she said in an energetic, but less than convincing tone. "They needed me t'grab some of the sh*t and take it back!"
She didn't hesitate in turning towards a platter of cookies and picking them up. She flashed the guy a big grin, hoping it might add to her attempts at being convincing.

Aaron turned the tap off after the stinging faded, and ran his hand through his hair to dry it off. "Tche, you don't need to be a fairy to bake s**t you know." he grumbled and started moving the cookies from the now cooled pan onto another cooling rack with a spatula. Her appraising look over left him a little flustered; sure he usually stood out, but she didn't have to stare.
Her sudden shift in gears when he asked her if she was there to pick up more goods for the sale put him on edge. 'Kinda weird they'd only send one person though...' he mused to himself. Aaron returned her grin a bit hesitantly, and watched as she took up a plate of cookies.
"You know what," he started, "There's a lot to take down, and I'm pretty much done up here anyway." With a flick of his wrist Aaron untied the apron and pulled it off, draping it over a towel hook on the wall. "So I'll just give you a hand." He winked at her, and scooped up another three plates, balancing one on his left hand, another on the crook of his elbow, and the third in his right hand. "No use making more than one trip, right? And since they didn't send anybody up with you, it's the least I can offer."
Aaron made to step past her, humming to himself as he moved towards the door.

This boy was beginning to seem more and more like a girlscout. No, not a boyscout. Boyscouts were outdoorsy types, but girlscouts did stupid household things. At least, this is what Ellie had always assumed. She never joined the beloved girl scouts when she was a kid. The only way her family supported them was by purchasing cookies every year. Either way, she got the boy who should have been a girlscout.
Not only did he bake, but he was trying to be helpful too. Her mouth straightened out into a flat line. All Ellie had wanted to do was whisk away that one batch of cookies. Then all would have been fine. She would have left happy, Mr. Baking Fairy could make up another batch of cookies, and everyone would have been okay. In fact, it was a bit insulting that he came to help her. Was she that incapable?
"Fine, fine, I'll take more than one batch. Sheesh... Figgered that exercise was a good reason t'draw this out a bit. But NOOOO, Mr. whatever-yer-name-is won't let me!" As she complained in a rather plain fashion, she began to load herself up. Another plate got balanced on her bandaged arm (stupid porcupine Youma), and a third plate, just to match Mr. Mohawk, was picked up by her still free hand. No dude was going to outdo her!
Not quite having figured out how she was going to take care of this situation, she followed the boy out into the hallway. It was a decent walk to get to the sale from the classroom, and Ellie wasn't one for quiet walks.
"So, should I call ya 'bakin' fairy' or do ya have a name?" This guy was only just slightly taller than her, so she couldn't really get away with calling him "kid," like she enjoyed doing with people shorter than her.

The corners of Aaron's mouth twitched up in a suppressed smile. She was definitely feisty, and his annoyance over the whole thing was slowly being replaced with amusement. Once they were both in the hallway, Aaron pivoted, and, balancing on one foot, snagged the underside of the Home Ec classroom's door handle, giving it a small tug to close it. No sense in anybody else coming in while he was gone.
Aaron chuckled at the girl's method for requesting his name. "As partial as I'm becoming to your little term of endearment," he began as they started down the hallway, "the name is Aaron."
He glanced at her out of the corner of his eye as they walked; she didn't look like she was used to handling multiple dishes, but he was impressed that she at least hadn't dropped any, yet. They weren't precisely light, loaded down with cookies and baked goods, and the plates themselves being fairly solid to begin with. "So...little miss sunshine, do you have a name, or am I gonna have to think of something witty and apropos to call you?" Aaron grinned as he fell into lockstep beside the girl. This was actually starting to feel like fun. He wasn't usually one to instigate anything, but she didn't really seem to be enjoying his presence, and Aaron wasn't planning on letting that deter him.

Though Ellie had a bare basic sense of manners, she couldn't help but roll her eyes at this Aaron. "You'd f*ckin' know when it was a term of endearment!" she snorted before nearly dropping a plate of cookies. She managed to readjust the weight of the plates and shift her body just barely enough to keep the cookies from falling off her arm. If she was worried, she might have let out a sigh of relief. However, these weren't even her cookies. So what if some fell on the floor. You could pick them up, dust off the ones that didn't break, and sell those.
Continuing on as if she hadn't nearly lost a bunch of cookies, she grunted out "If mah arms were free, I'd shake yer hand. Name's Ellie." Unfortunately, the name he selected for her seemed to hit a nerve, and she didn't even think about it before reacting. "An' if ya like keeping a record of not gettin' beat up by a girl, I suggest ya don' call me 'lil' miss' anything." The sunshine comment only made her think of her Sailor Scout duties. Her uniform was bright yellow, and her powers relied on rainbows, which in everyday life, required some sort of light to make. It was all so girly, she could hardly stand it!
In an attempt to make herself feel better, she clarified for Aaron "'Nless yer a f**. Then I won't beat'cha up! It's a given a f** could easily get beaten up by a girl!"

Aaron chuckled and winked at Ellie. "I dunno, it could be some kind of 'tough love' thing," he stated, an inflection of humor coloring his voice.
At her f** comment, Aaron's eyes narrowed. "Oh puh-leeze, one's sexual preferences have no bearing on one's fighting ability." With a realization of how that might be misconstrued, the boy gasped softly and blushed, fumbling for an excuse. "I mean, uh, not that I'm..well...not saying it's a bad thing, just...ah hell. Whatever." he finally ground out, giving up and trying to get his cheeks to stop burning. "I could totally take you."
He found it somewhat humorous to watch her trying not to drop any of the plates, although she didn't seem to care much beyond being able to match his contribution to the transportation efforts. "So," he began, hoping to catch her slightly off guard, "You gonna tell me why you really came to the classroom?"

Not good at taking in the subtleties of a wink, Ellie rather bluntly pointed out "Ya got somethin' in yer eye? Yer eye keeps twitchin' at me." She grinned in a near cocky fashion as the boy fumbled with his own words, making himself sound more and more gay by the second. It was only when he made a half-assed challenge that Ellie stopped in place and knelt down to put down the sheet of cookies.
"Alright," she nearly crowed. She cracked her knuckles and tightened both hands into fists. "Let's see what'cha got then! Ya say ya can take me... then 'ave at it!" Bringing both of her hands forward in front of her body, she took a mildly defensive stance. It wasn't anything like a martial arts stance, for Ellie had never taken any sort of professional class on self defense. She learned everything she knew by fighting guys. That simple. Aside from her fists, her body seemed quite a bit relaxed still.
Even when Aaron asked her about real intentions, she didn't confess to anything. Instead, she seemed to provoke the situation further by making an offer the boy couldn't refuse: "Ya 'take me' as ya called it, an' I'll tell ya whatever ya want."
While all of this was going on, something strange began to happen down the hallway towards where the bake sale was being held. Faint echoing of screams could be heard if you listened hard enough, and along the stairs the two students would have had to take, a strange goo that almost looked like cookie dough began to ooze out onto the floors.

"Whoa whoa! Hold on a minute here!" Aaron backed away a couple paces, the plate he had balanced on the crook of his elbow tipping and spilling it's contents on the floor before following after them itself. "Ah crap," Aaron grumbled, and hastily stooped to set the last two plates down before he lost the rest of the morning's work.
With a wary eye on Ellie, the boy stood back up, holding his hands out in a placating manner, a look of confusion in his violet eyes. "Hey now, I don't hit girls," he said with a half chuckle, "Cripes, don't you have a sense of humor?"
'Damn sensitive girl, what the heck did I do to her?'
Aaron tried to keep a distance between himself and the girl, he didn't want to have to fight her, despite her ornery nature he kinda liked her. In the brief silence that followed, faint sounds of distress could be heard drifting up the stairwell. Puzzled, he straightened out of his stooped posture and turned his head, straining to hear the sounds. "Wait a sec..." Aaron held up a finger, eyes narrowing in the direction of the stairs. "Did you hear something? Like...someone screaming?"
As he was watching, movement caught his eye as a groping tendril made it's way over the top stair and onto the landing, feeling it's way and followed by another and another. To Aaron's astonishment, the goo seemed to be...chocolate chip cookie dough? "What the hell is going on?" he muttered to himself, forgetting for the moment that he wasn't the only student in the hallway.

The blonde had a big grin on her face as this guy dared to point out the commonplace rule amongst the guy code. That would make this friendly little spar easier for her.
"Well, now, and I don't beat up fags. I don't have a rule against guys with that stupid rule in their head though!" She motioned with her head for Aaron to get closer and coughed out "If ya got a problem, then dun think of me like a girl."
Even when he mentioned some sort of noise, Ellie knew that he was just trying to distract her. She had seen this sort of distraction before. The really wussy guys who wanted to flee the scene usually used that excuse. If she looked away, then she'd hear the guy bolting in the opposite direction. So instead, she continued to watch Aaron. She didn't quite get what he was looking at, so for a moment, she peered in the same direction too. Where as the boy might not have known what the strange gooey creature was, she was able to figure it out without staring for too long.
Youma
In a hope that she didn't sound too knowledgeable, she shouted out "Sh*t's goin' DOWN!" Not caring for the cookies on the ground, she reached over and grabbed onto the boy's hand, tugging on him to try and drag him back towards the classroom. If she could ditch the dead-weight, she could transform and maybe take out the cookie monster.
"HURRY UP!!"
The glob of cookie dough clumped up on the landing. The blob was about as big as a person, and towards the middle was a large eyeball that seemed to stare lifelessly towards them. Maybe it was the sudden outburst from the girl that caught its attention, but all of a sudden the dough blob began to hurtle towards the two students.

"What the hell IS that thing?!" Aaron shouted breathlessly, stumbling after Ellie while she yanked him back towards the classrooms they had come from. He looked back over his shoulder briefly and felt his stomach do a flip at the sight of the staring eye in the center of the 'creature's body. 'Holy s**t!' "Uh, it's speeding up!"
Aaron regained his balance, and was only a step behind Ellie while they ran down the hallway. Knowing that most of the other rooms would be locked and empty, he slowed slightly and reached out for the door of the Home Ec class that he knew would be open. Tightening his grip on her hand, Aaron shoved the door open and yanked her inside. "Come on! We can hide in here!" Aaron slammed the door, his free hand trembling as he flipped the thumb lock on the door's handle and hastily looked around the room for anything to use as a barricade. His eyes fell on Ellie standing beside him, and with a start he realized he had her hand in a death grip.
"Sorry," he muttered and yanked his hand away. He almost wanted to peek into the hallway, but if it was really there, he'd rather not have to see it again. The squelching sound of what could only be the dough monster approaching at a fast pace made up his mind for him, and he shrank back from the door, eyes shooting to Ellie again. "Uh...now what?"

The sweet smell of baked goods drifted through the air- and Chloe wondered what the hell she was doing here. She should be out looking for new senshi to awaken.... not drifting around a school while a bake sale was going on. Beth, the human she is usually around, ditched her quick in the game to go off and buy some snacks and help her own class out with their sale.
Chloe had followed just to check this out... she hadnt really seen a sale like this before- well she had but not at THIS school. Their was so much she was remembering after 'awakening' herself as a guardian cat- or should she say being 'reborn'. She felt like she knew so much and yet she did not.
Flicking her tail- the siamese feline wheeled around the corner of the exterior of the building. Having enough of this stupid sugar rush intoxicated area- she lept off the pathway preparing to leave the campus.
Until she heard the screaming.
Feline ears be damned- she sure as hell heard screaming. It did not sound like the GOOD kind either- something was wrong. Instincts kicking it into full force- she bolted towards the distress signals. Looking up she saw a small window that was open- seemingly from where the screams of terror were coming from. As in most places- convenient props were placed around for the 'heros' wellbeing- this time being a tree that she quickly climbed up. Looking into the room- she quickly took in what she saw.
Two students, and... a 'Bob' wanna be? Like from that Monsters VS aliens movie. Except this 'bob' was chunky- and.... sweet smelling? She needed to lay off the sugary smells, man. Bob seemed to have a keen eye on the two students- it looked like the baked goods felt like they needed to be the eating and not the eaten. Well, s**t.
Where was Beth when she needed her.
Doing something a feline of her size should never do, she growled deeply and leaps into the room. Chloe needed to try and protect the humans... even at the cost of being found out. Preparing to fire a beam of light out of her forehead star- she looked closer at the two students and realized she wasnt doing things in the right order. Quickly rethinking her plans- she did her little flip in the air and lept on top of the closest table to Aaron- a new henshin pen in her mouth. Whacking Aaron with her tail- she knew she had to act fast. Dropping the pen on the table she glared up at him "Listen to me and just...DO it ok. You want to live? Good! Hold this pen up and say 'Quasar star power, Make up!. " She looked over at Ellie next- "What the hell are you doing, Sailor iris? Transform!"
'Bob' was now squeezing through the door to the room- leaving a gloppy mess wherever it blobbed at. Gross. Squaring her kitty shoulders- she did something she hadn't done before- and that was to shoot the creature with a beam of light that shot out of her star marking. While the senshi needed only a split second to transform- the youma was way too close for comfort and hopefully this will give them enough time to regroup. The beam of light wasn't strong- and it left Chloe weaker than before. It clearly had injured the youma though- it screamed out in horror.
