nessiaing:  Kya was out and about in her pride, she was beginning to get a little more adventureous and curious about the world around her. She wanted to no more and more about the world around her. She dipped her head down to take a drink from the watering hole.
When she raised her head she spotted her brother and father not to far in the distance. She smiled and began to gallop over in their direction. "Hey" she called out, Kya was a loud pup she blamed it on coming from such a large litter, you had to be loud to be heard. randy:  Lugi on the other hand was reserved. His head was constsantly in the clouds, his muzzle pointed up toward them, eyes half closed as if in some sort of trance. He hummed when he was like this. A soft haunting melody. He called it Lugia's theme. It was a tribute to the thing that he seemed to ilke most: balance.
The loud yell made him pin his ears back and he glanced over at his sister with narowed eyes. "Kya." He greeted with a brisk nod. Adeto was sitting beside his son and listening to the eerrie sounds. He was trying to get a conersation going with him but he just didn't seem interested. Such a weird pup.
Ah there was one of his girls. He grinned and stood up as she came toward them. "Kya, good morning!" It'd taken him forever to memorize all of their names. There were just so many. "What are you doing today"

Kya smiled and came closer to her family, she gave her father a loving nuzzle. "Lugia" she greeted her brother. Kya wasn't use to her quiet brother, she was far to rough and tumbley to be bothered with Lugi's reserved attitude. She was all about go go going, fun and play... its just the way she is.
"I am not doing much of anything daddy, exploring and learning!" its great fun! Kya looked around spotting a bug and pounced on it, she was having great fun just being a pup. "Daddy do you think you could teach me something?" she looked at her brother quickly, than changed her what she said "Us, teach us something."
randy:
"That's fantastic. Those are good things for a young pup to do." A concerned glance went to Lugia who looked like he'd already forgoten they were there. He watched her pounce and smiled kindly, laughing a bit. "Teach you something? Like what?" He grappled for any information he could pass on.
Lugia, who had been ignoring the lot of them finally approached looking at his father with curious red eyes. His sister had said the magic word. The white male loved to learn when people showed him things. If someone said they wanted to teach him out to fall off a cliff he might do it.
"...How about fishing?" Adeto finally surmised. "Its very hard but if you work at it you'll get good and be able to eat fish whenever you like."

Kya smiled, this was so exciting. "Yes fishing that sounds great." her stomach growled at the thought of eating some fish, it was fairly recently that the pups had been weaned but she had taken to solid food right away. Kya turned and started racing towards the water.
Fishing, she had seen other dogs do it in the pride, it was perfect, the chance to get wet and dirty, and handle fish, it was going to be amazing. She turned back to look at the two boys, "Come on" she called, "the fish will wait for noone." she ran full speed hoping that they would follow close behind.
Randy:
Her father was quick to join the chase. He'd daught a lot of wild dogs how to fish. His affinity for water was strong and he wanted to share it with everyone. Especially his pups. He almost seemed to glilde over the earth like something surreal as his paws lightly the ground perpelling him forward so he could come up to his daughter's side.
Lugia on the other hand trailed behind. He hardly ever ran. He just didn't see the point in wasting energy. His top speed was canter and the only reason he was doing that was so he didn't miss any lessons but he assumed he'd be waited on. So he didn't have to put much effort into keeping up.

As she waited at the waters edge for her father and brother to catch up Kya watched the fish swim around, they had no idea what they were in for. "So daddy what do we do first" she asked. Anxious to get her paws wet.
Kya sat fidgetting, never stoping movign for more than a moment at a time, she had far to much energy, perhaps she thought, somehow while they were in their mother, Kya had gotten Lugia's share of extra energy as well.
Randy:
Adeto gave his daughter a wide smile as he trotted up to the water. He stood over her and looked down at her reflection with a curious stare. "Ah well first thing is first..." He paused to let Lugia waddle up to the water's edge and sniff at it. "You have to know that the fish are lower then they appear on the surface." He bumped a stick into the water and let it float. "See the stick? Aim for under it and you'll catch it. Go ahead and try."

Kya studied the stick bobbing on the surface, then she turned towards the fish that swam under the surface. She smiled and got ready. She moved closer to the waters edge trying to take care that the fish weren't startled by her shadow moving across the waters edge.
The small dog picked up her paw and plunged into the water only managing to barely touch one of the fist that swam by before they all darted in opposite directions. She raised her paw from the water shaking the water off. "Wow look at them swim." she said simply not being bothered that she hadn't managed to catch one.
Randy:
"Ah, very good Kya. But use your muzzle not your paws. They can easily slip away from your paws since they're not as easily used as a monkey. Our teeth are strong and hold firmly." He corrects and holds her back until they start to gather again. "Get as close as you can and wait until you have a sure strike."

Kya let her dad hold her back till she saw th fish gather again, she couldn't help but let her tail wag back and forth in excitment. She slowly allowed her self to slip into water, watching the fish gather around her ankles.
She spotted one fish in particular that she thought looked good, it was a smaller fish so she would be able to fit her small mouth around the fish to pull it out of the water. She dove her head in and felt her mouth close around a fish she pulled up and tossed it onto the shore and looked to her father for priase.
Randy:
Lugia watched his sister carefully with his dark eyes. He was tensed, curious. When she dove right in and flipped the fish onto the store he decided what her powers must be. She had power over fish. They so willingly went to her and their deaths for her. He bowed his head in respect to her.
"Very good!" Adeto gladly apraised. "Now quick! You need to hold it and kill it or it'll flop right back right into the water." He warned her motioning to the shore.
Now that his sister had one Lugia gazed to the water. He sniffed at it and watched them regather. He could do it. He couldn't ask them to obey him but he could be a fast. He snapped for one of them but his foot slipped in the muddy bank and he felt flat into the water with a small yip.

Kya was distracted by Lugia falling into the water, she did her best not to snicker as she knew that it would upset her brother greatly. She felt the water splash up areound her and she turned her head and just in time to watch her freshly caught fish fall back into the water.
The small pup frowned, "Thats ok." she said cheerfully, "I didn't really want the fish anyway I'm not hungry." she decided She decided instead to igve her brother praise. "You can do it Lugia the fish willl come to you, don't worry." she wasn't sure how her brother would respond to her praise but she decided it was best to give it to him.
Randy:
Adetokunbono shook his head and reached into the water helping his son out by his scruff. "Are you alright?" He asked him looking him over. He seemed alright. Maybe a bit of hurt pride. His gaze landed on his daughter and her lost fish. "Yes well, they will make more fish reguardless and we will have fish to eat when we are hungry."
The pup huffed water from his nose and shook himself out. He was a demi-god. Demi-gods did NOT fall in water or miss their fish. He gave a look to his sister that was a mix of thanks and his normal cold stare. "Thank you. I know I will." He said in a voice that indicated he intended to pretend the mess up never occured. Turning back to the water he tried again...and again... and again before finally wrapping his teeth around a fish and tossing it like his sister had behind him.
"There you go! Very good, Lugia. Now go up and stop it."
The mostly white pup nodded and with his slow canter made his way to his catch and dispoised of it with a simple snap.
Secretly, Adeto leaned down to Kya and chuckled. "I didn't think he'd ever get one."

Kya giggled as her father whispered in her ear, "I knew he would." Kya whispered back. Kya liked to believe the most in her family, there was a great deal of family to beleive in.
"Way to go Lugia!" Kya barked in praise. The little pup was getting overly excited about the whole experience. "I want to go tell Momma what we have been doing!" Kya barked excitedly again and gallopped off and away to find her mother and anyone else that would listen that she had managed to catch a fish, even if it had gotten away in the end.
Randy:
Adetokunbo gave his daughter a proud smile for her kindess. She would be a wonderful adult someday. Kind hearted and supportive. Something she sensed a lot of her sibblings would need. Some more then others. He steppd up beside his son who was watching Kya bolt off with a strange, almost normal look.
"Something wrong, son?"
Lugia sat down as his sister disappeared over a hill to find their mother. "No...Well... I want to tell Kurnoc..." He answered his ears settling back against his head.
"If you hurry, you might beat her to it." His father encouraged pushing him with his nose. "Go on. I'll keep your fish safe. Promise."
Lugia looked back up at him then for the first time, really smiled before taking off at his steady canter. Not exactly the hurrying Adeto meant but at least he was socializing. He was proud all the same.
