Silently resting near a watering hole, a small lioness lounged, her tail dipped into the cool water. It was a long journey between the lands where her family's pride resided and the small plot of land that she called her home. Slowly, she lifted her head, red eyes gazing into the water. Her ears perked when she heard something splash into the water, looking over to see a large bullfrog swim away. The lioness giggled softly, sitting up and letting out a yawn before bringing a paw up to 'rub' her eye. Gazing into they sky, she knew she should start continuing her journey back home soon, but there wasn't anything wrong with staying around a little bit longer... it was a nice day to enjoy after all.

It was only moments earlier that Kutunza had bumped into his sister taking a stroll with a strange male. For the first time in the dark male's life he felt tremendous amounts of jealousy and anger build up inside him. It seemed like weeks since he'd seen his best friend and now he understood why! He'd felt replaced and hurt and despite now being an adult, he had felt rather childish at the time. Although he certainly hadn't done much to make the pair comfortable during the meeting, it had calmed down towards the end and he gave a dismissing approval of Kafara's blue friend named Enzi. He'd told them he'd planned to go home, but things still didn't feel right and he needed the cool breeze of the pridelands to take his mind off of things.
As he strolled in the direction of the watering hole, his original destination, he released a deep sigh. "Of course i'm happy for Kafara.." he whispered to himself, dragging his paws in the dirt as he walked. "I just didn't think i'd end up alone.." Kutunza let out a light laugh for speaking his thoughts out loud. Last he had checked there had been no one around and so he felt comfortable doing so. Despite that, it was still silly to talk to yourself. As he glanced up, however, he caught site of a rogue lioness resting quietly on the edge of the water. With wide eyes and flushed cheeks, the male paused where he was and swallowed.
Today certainly wasn't his day.

Slowly, Ayo started to prepare herself to travel the rest of her journey home. She lifted a paw and licked the fur down, before licking at the fur on her chest. Eventually, her grooming lead down to her tail, where she pulled it out from the water and started to lap the cold liquid from the tuft on the end.
After a bit of time, she finished cleaning, she stood up and stretched. Once she finished, she sighed just a bit solemnly, not wanting to go just yet. But, if she wanted to get home before dark, she had to. With that, she gave one last look around, but as she did this, she spotted the lion not too far from her. She had to wonder how long he was there, but didn't think too much of it as she turned to face him. "Hello."
