Play more. Your understanding of what is what gets better with practice. You don't need a cd for that. You should be able to gradually get better. I know I have.

anjul yea i was thinking its a scam and i was like i dont think u need that but the adds like omg u need this to be perfect Definatly not. Think about how many great musicians there are, and only a small handful of them have perfect pitch. It really isn't needed. On the other band, relative pitch is quite cool.

You could spend the money on a new guitar or amp, or even a new effect. wink

The more you play, the more accurate your pitch will become.

Perfect Pitch does not exist. The only person that has anything close was Mozart.

perfect pitch does exist, but it is rare. I knew a guy that became a phenonal guitarist over the course of a month, playing advanced jazz by ear. He had never picked up and instrument before, it just came to him natuarally once he figured out how to make the proper notes on the guitar. He could easily hear the individual notes in the chord. I beleive he is now a studio musician in Nashville.
As far as the CD's go, its just the guy telling you not to try to get the pitch of a note right, but the characterists of the notes right. For instance, he would says something like Eb is timid, but F# is aggressive. He wouldn't say what all the notes characterists were because he wants you to figure it out yourself as part of the learning process. That is it. He talks for 10 hours, but that is all he says. He is on to something, I think his system works, but it is a waste of time listening to him telling you that it works for hours on end.

I haven't heard of these CDs, but I know there are some musical savants that pretty much have it (Not trying to get off topic >.>). But, I'm sure with enough practice anyone can be good enough to know.
P.S. Dancing...I love your Olive Garden sig. So true. XD

Yeah, I've heard of it, and I'm pretty sure it exists. I think it would be cool to try to learn, but not cool to pay tons of money for it. Grab a piano or a guitar and a friend and you can study on your own.
Actually, at camp, we did a little perfect pitch training. Our teacher would just pick a random note, and we had to tell him wht note it was. I was actually pretty good at it sweatdrop I can also sometimes randomly sing a song in the correct key if I've listened to it a lot. razz
