Something seemed different about this place. Azizi had followed the wind that carried him carefully, avoiding any place that might not agree with him. He wasn't exactly in the mood for killing something right this moment. His fur, after all, had just been cleaned. It wasn't that Azizi was a bad cheetah, others just seemed to be so.....annoying. Maybe it was his accent that they didn't like; whatever the case, Azizi spent little time dealing with creatures that tried to act tough and aggravated. No time at all.
His paws delicately bounced along the ground, and a smile graced his face. He had been happy, especially after running into a female that he liked recently. She was a gorgeous creature, and her sweet and innocent charm had inadvertantly made it's way deep into Azizi's heart. He was always such a sucker for sweet ones, but that one....she was just perfect. His mind continued to wander, and Azizi failed to notice, or care, really, that he had just entered into lions' territory. His multi-colored eyes flicked up only for moments at a time, the rest spent thinking about returning to that wonderful place with the wonderful girl.

Asenath was walking on air. Well not litterally but she was damned close! She smiled as she made her way down the slopes. She had a wonderful and amazing experience with a cheetah but her family didn't need dto be aware of that. She was a rule breaker but it didn't mean she wanted to get into trouble. Just prove the rules weren't going to hold her.
As she trotted along the outskirts, patroling she spotted another lanky figure. She almost hoped it was the same cheetah as before but this one was black with strange florecent colorations...and what appeared to be a mask. Of a butterfly...
Just as brave (maybe braver this time) she bodly walked up to him, letting out a small roar of greeting. "Hello there!"

Without turning his head, Azizi slid his eyes over to see what was calling after him. If he could help it, he'd try to avoid something that looked bad at all costs. It just wasn't a good day for him, it seemed. Although nothing particularly bad had happened, his thoughts were irritated now, and he didn't really feel like taking it out on someone else.
After finding the lioness that had spoken to him, his slender body relaxed a bit. The one thing he wouldn't attack without cause was a female. It was just something he couldn't bring himself to do, unless they really really provoked him. "Hello." The 'h' was silent in his native tongue, and his accent seeped through. He seemlessly adjusted his position to better face her; she didn't seem all that bad. Azizi had no prior reservations about lions, so her thicker frame and larger paws didn't frighten him in the least. Although, what did?

The accent caught Asenath off guard. She had never heard someone speak differently and it made her curious. She inwardly sensed this was because he was from somewhere else. A land she'd never seen.
She moved closer to him looking friendly and rather young. Certainly at the cusp of adulthood but not quite there yet. "You entered our territory and I was on patrol. I came to see if we could help you with something. " He was lucky he hadn't come across her father. He thought those with unnatural colors would be the undoing of the pride and would chase them off. Asenath held no such prejudiced.

"I see." Azizi's tail flicked back and forth. A guard, hm? He almost hoped she provoked him now; he wanted to see if she could fight. He himself was a rather nasty fighter, an unexpected thing because of his size and species, but Azizi had been trained to combat any size creature, and to fight using whatever means. But it was a female that stood before him, and he somehow knew she wouldn't do anything to provoke him.
Letting out a sigh, Azizi curled his tail around his back leg. "I assure you, madmoiselle, there is little one of your.....kind can do to help me." Azizi pretty much only trusted fellow cheetahs in the world. It's not that he thought other species were liars and traitors, he just knew better then to put faith in something that naturally thought differently than he. It was a simple concept that he had adopted upon entering the savannah.

She tilted her haed. Cheetahs seem to have a flare for nicknaming. She frowned slightly putting her ears back. She'd never heard such a... racial statement. Her kind? Weren't they all felines?
Shifting on her paws, she hesitated. "I ... I killed a zebra a few hours ago. I don't know if you'd want it... I couldn't finish it all off..." She offered despite his obvious dislike. "Its hard to find food out here in this desert."

"Did you now?" Azizi sighed, thinking of his round stomach. Physically, he didn't look fat at all; in fact, he was rather on the skinny side as far as cheetahs go. But he had killed something in a fit of rage this morning, and devoured the carcass in disrespect to the other animal. "Well, if you're inviting, I guess I could always linger and take a look at your handywork." He wasn't overly keen on staying, especially not for a meal that he couldn't possibly fit in his stomach, but he was slightly interested to see what the zebra looked like, now that it was dead. Killing methods always intrigued the dark cheetah, and he'd never cared to watch a lion long enough to see how the larger species took down its prey. Might teach him something, or tell him what maneuvers to avoid when fighting a lion.

"Yes its.. very close to here." She responded flicking her tail curiously. She did like the last cheetah she'd met much better than this one and not for the obvious reasons. She smiled when he agreed and began to lead him outward to where she'd stash it in her own favorite spot. "Handiwork? OH well its, nothing special... this was one of my first hunts on my own." She admitted ducking her head.
"I... was rather interested. I've only met one cheetah before you... How do you hunt? You don't look built for power, no offense."

"You have not hunted much on your own before?" Azizi was almost shocked. He stopped briefly in the grass behind her, trying to think of why anyone would wait so long to hunt. Azizi had been hunting on his own since he was small; a desirable trait where he came from. "I would think that one of your age would have been out hunting in the world for awhile now." His accent stumbled over some words, but the sentence came out well enough.
"Madmoiselle, behind this pelt lies lean muscle. We're fast, and can hold our own." Even though she meant no offense, Azizi felt the need to take her ignorant mind and rub it in the dirt. It was just how he was. His paws flexed as he held back his frustration. She was young, apparently, and inexperienced with matters such as this. Azizi never liked lions for their assumptions, or how they perceived things. It was just stupid. "And I assure you, I have taken down lions much larger than yourself." He wasn't visibly upset, just frustrated, but even that could be dangerous with Azizi. True to his word, he had killed lions in the past before for parading their 'superiority' in front of him. They soon learned the meaning of irony.
He tried to contain himself, especially since he knew well that it probably wasn't her fault for not knowing such things. As she said, she had only met one other cheetah before, and it probably wasn't out hunting. "But we rely on our small frame for our speed." He blinked a few times, forcing out a semi-happy expression. "And our tails are for turning when the prey isn't....cooperative."

The lioness gave a small hesitation before turning to look at him. "...Well... Its my father..." She tried to word it without making him sound terrible, "He... doesn't... he's over protective? He wanted me to wait. I didn't but..." Parents normally had the final say.
She looked him over again. She was no stranger to a harsh word. Her father was keen on using them and so took no offense. Curiosity overruled being thought of as ignorant. "Fast...?" Her gaze was already sparked with interest as she turned around to really look at the other feline. "You've killed lions?" It wasn't horror in her voice, it was admiration. In a pride based on warriors, peaceful as it was, she'd heard the stories of glorified death in battle.
For one to take down as strong of an opponent as a lion with such an agile figure. Well he certainly had won her over. "That's amazing..."
She shifted slightly. "Do you like to spar? Not with me of course. If you can take down male lions you'll easily put me in my place. Females can't be warriors but my father... well he's been down and he loves a good fight. He's the Warrior Chief of the entire pride."

"I've never been one for listening to my parents, regardless of how 'protective' they were." It was true, Azizi's parents had never had much control over him. They were just lucky that he liked to compose himself at all times, and never did anything stupid.
"Why yes, madmoiselle. It's a skill that is....necessary for my health." It wasn't something he needed to survive, but if he didn't kill something every once in awhile, he'd simply go mad. He hoped to change, soon, though, for a certain someone.
"Spar? I must say, I'm not one for battles without intent to kill." Azizi had never been one to simply fight for no reason. It didn't make much sense to him, even if it brought honor and whatnot to other creatures. One either lived or died. Nothing more.

"Well that's my fault." She answers pretending to look elsewhere. Her attention went back to him and stayed there for a long while. "I suppose it would be..."
She frowned slightly. "Ah... it was merely a suggestion. I don't want to see my father dead. " She began to walk again, making her way to her hidden kill. Once she found it she pulled large leaves taken from the oasis off. They kept it from rotting in the sun.
In experienced as she was she'd done her work well. The skull was crushed in by her powerful jaws and it obviously had a broken spine from her final assault when it tried to get away. Her father and aunt had taught her well at the very least.

"Well, I guess it just depends on your personality." Azizi's eyes flicked to the side, and he knew that his own personality was begging for him to leave. It was hard staying here, especially with a lioness. He could at least amuse himself with a small animal, or another cheetah.
"Madmoiselle, I think that my time here is fini?" He moved to the side, making it clear that it was time for him to leave. "It hasn't been, a, total loss, speaking with you?" Even though it sounded harsh, it was something nice coming from this foreign cheetah. "I bid you aideu." He dipped his head, and quickly turned to leave, trotting in the opposite direction of where he came.

She didn't reply. Instead the cream lioness watched him change his mind with a quiet stare. She wouldn't hold the nomadic animals down. Fini... Finished? She translated as he began to leave.
She very briefly trailed him. "I thank you for your information." She responded back to him. She wasn't hurt by his statement. He seemed aloof. In his own mind-set. Of course she just met him.
"Until we meet again." She called after him turning for home.
Aideu. She memorized the word, turning it around in her head. She would hold on to it. Like she held on to all the glimmers of the outside world she got. She didn't know she had her own view of it growing in her belly yet.
