The day was tiring, and Mufasa was dragging his feet along the ground - so utterly tired he was, but his companion was hyped. He spent the day scouting for food and safety. It was difficult for him to keep the little prey-beast safe, because she attracted trouble.
He pondered how, she was like a shadow cast across the savannah. She should be able to blend it, yeah? But no, he sighed. The small black Klipspringer was currently walking slowly at his side, and he wondered why.
That is, until he tasted the air. He seemed to have stumbled into... pride lands? A frown crossed his maw - he knew he shouldn't be curious about his area, but he stepped further into the lands, just a step or two.
"Fassaa," he heard the voice at his side. "I don't think we should be here. It smells dangerous..." Clandestin trembled at his side, but kept step - two steps for every one of his own.
A sigh, Mufasa didn't look at her, but his pressence reassued her greatly, and he didn't need to speak - she simply followed, trusting him to know what he was doing.

Asenath was just outside of her pride borders. Certainly her father couldn't complain if she was just getting food. Which she was... just slowly. Her pale fur blended in to the surroundings with ease as she made her way through the tall grass. "There were Zebra back a ways..." Corbin complained shifting his eyes back and forth. "Should we really be going out this far?" She rolled her eyes. He was always so nervous. Couldn't he relax a little bit. "You don't even like it when I hunt. So why complain when I don't?" She questioned back looking down at him curiously. "Because you're dad will eat me if I don't watch you." The Kilp jumped over a hole and skittered back to her side. "Thats why!" The lioness let out a soft sigh and tilted her head. It looked like a large mostly black lion out in the sun. That would never do! He'd get heat sick in this weather. With abandon she walked over at a fairly quick pace, cautious only in the fact she didn't get very close.
"Uhm Excuse me, are you lost?"

Mufasa blinked at the female for a moment. He knew he should expect this - he could smell that he was passing into pridal territories. Just... not this soon, he supposed. "Um... I suppose," He hadn't been here before. "But not really?"
He shook his head for a moment and turned his gaze to Clandestin at his side. "How can we be lost, but not lost?" the indignant beast asked in a grumble, kicking a hove lightly. She hadn't wanted to come here anyways.
Mufasa gave a light shrug, turning back to the lightly colored female and the to the klipspringer at her side.

Her head tilted and she looked down at Corbin, wondering the same thing. So how did she help them if they were lost but not really? She went to ask him but he was staring at something. Looking up she saw it to be the female. "Uh, Corbin...?" She questioned nuding him with her paw. "What's the matter?"
He blinked roughly before moving forward toward the other kilp. It was rare for him to ever approach a male lion, he feared them, but this was too discerning. He reconized that sent in the wind. So familair and not. "... Do I know you...?" He questioned Clandestin.
"Er... well I was going hunting... If you're interested in coming. I don't know how long its been since you've eaten. This place is a desert so I know it can be tough."

The dark klipspringer gave a small tilt. She did recognize him. "You're... one of Mkimya's missing sons," she spoke slowly, reassuring herself as she spoke. But it hit her, this little klipspringer had to be. He disappeared afrer her brother took off with one of the other fawns. She was angry at her twin brother - angry for him leaving such a sweet girl with four fawns to raise.
Meanwhile, Fasa gave a nod. He hadn't eaten anything since that morning, though Clandestin had a bit more often than himself. "Alright, I'll hunt with you," he said lightly, looking over the horizion around her.

"My mother! You know my mother?" He walkeed closer to her and sniffed the air. He did know her! "You're my aunt, right?" He asked wiggling his tail slightly.
"I'm... Asenath." She responded slowly smiling at Corbin. She was glad he'd finally found someone of his family. But.. what if she left him? Shaking it off she nodded to the male and started to walk toward the oasis. That's where most of the wild life hid durring the hot summer heat.

Clandestin gave a small nod. "Your father's sister," she clarified. "I stayed with your mum after he left and you got lost, We split ways a while ago though, when Fifia and Laini were good enough to travel with her." She gave the gray and white male a grine. "You've grown."
"Mufasa," he shortly stated his name. It was always odd to give his name, but he followed the lightly colored female anyways.

"My father? You know him?" The little young buck seemed completely impressed by the older female. The names left him filled with glee. She knew him and his littermates! "Where's mom! Is she with you?" He asked suddenly looking around with pricked ears.
He smiled slightly. "Oh, thank you... the lionness..." He turned to see she was already walking off with the male. "....She's taken care of me... like a mom." He said slowly.
"Mufasa? That's a lovely name." The lioness complimented. They began to move over the sand, her pelt blending in almost completely if it weren't for the red marks on her skin and her red mane. She looked back to make sure he was following closely behind. It was easy to get lost in this terrain.
It wasn't long before the sand turned to short bursts of grass and that into a full carpet as they found the oasis. "In there." She whispered to him.

"I do, he's my twin," she responded kindly. "Your mum's not with me though. She went to a pride with a dog and your sisters," she gave a thoughtful frown, to remember the dogs name. "Ah, Leini, the dog she went with - same name as your sister." She gave a nod.
"I can see that she took good care of you, and I don't doubt it." She said remembering that Fasa took her in when her brother left and Mkimya was thinking about her fawns.
"Thank you," he said humbly. He was always teased as a child about his name - the name of a great ruler, one that he felt he hadn't lived up to. Mufasa watched as the sand blended to crash and brush, lowering his head to lap at the moisture in the air around it.
He turned his head to the direction she geustured and followed it with his brown eyes, seeking the area silently. He simply nodded. "Forward then?" He asked, softly - eyes boring into her.

"He is? Wow! I didn't even know dad had a twin!" He sounded excited before his large ears fell slightly. "Oh... Leini..." He repeated before chancing forward. "... Auntie... is.. is mom looking for me? I tried to follow brother but..." He shifted nervously on the spot, "I got lost."
Asenath was blissfully aware of the meaning of the name. She was rather ...out of date with anything outside the pride. They weren't allowed out after all. Or at least her father wouldn't let them leave. Too afraid they would forever disappear over some horizon.
She nodded creeping forward to the edge of the pool in the middle of the lush grass. "Drink," She whispered bending her head to do just that. "The animals stay just to the west of this pool of water. We'll circle around and take out the herd on the fringe of the oasis."

"She was, for a while. We moved constantly in search of the two of you - she was devastated for a while, until Leini, the dog, took her away. Their families were tied in terms of friendship for a long while, according the Mkimya." She gave a lop-sided smile at the Klipspringer she had last seen as a fawn.
Mufasa shuffled forward and lowered his head to drink, glad for the cool relief from parched dehydration he felt from the desert area. He was glad for a guide with one of the hunters of the area, even if he had come across Pride lands. "Alright," he said softly.
If there was one thing he ever learned from the cult, is that females were usually better at the hunting, though he had learned to hunt faily quickly as a cub, due to the requirement as a member.

Corbin frowned slightly but nodded. "Yes well... I intend to find mother... I wish to see her again." He responds looking up at her and smiling.
She waited until he was finished before leading him around the oasis. Halfway around she sank into a crouch and pointed a paw in the direction of a small herd of Zebra. Not as big as normals, probably separated from a herd long ago.

Clandestine bobbed her head in a nod. "Last I heard, they were heading south. I don't know where, but it was to a pack or some sort." Clandestin gave a small shift of her body.
Chocolate eyes watched, eyes focusing on the cluster with a deadly calm. He fell into a hunting crouch, assessing the few creatures in front of him.
His eyes narrowed, glancing at Asenath from the corner of his eyes, waiting for her command for the hunt.

"South..." He repeated glancing in the direction. He could go that way and find his mother. He wasn't aware of how big the world was and that really didn't matter to him. He was going to find his mother one way or another. "Thank you, Auntie. I'm glad to know Mother and my littermates are alright. I was worried about them. I just couldn't make it home."
The female took on the proper stance taught to her by her aunt. Her haunches tightening as she got ready for the lunge. In the language of team predators she communicated their target. A young stud who's bravery lead to stupidity. He was outside of the herd grazing.
She blasted from her hiding place intent on cutting him off and taking him down.

"I'm glad I could help you, Corbin," She said with a smile. "I'm returning to my herd soon, though, so I cannot go with you. I have to find my brother first though," she shook her head. "He is such a coward," she mumbled.
"Fasa's helping me though, you know? He's been really good to me."
Mufasa mimicked the female's stance. He watched the female for a moment before looking at their target. What a silly buck, Mufasa though before aiding in the chase, giving a wide girth to come around back of the creature and scare it back towards the female.
She blended in more, so she would be harder to see in this desert landscape. He did his best to help her, but he was taught to hunt on a whim from his father. His training was for fighting, though, but he could hunt well enough as well.
